Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity

Old Course

Par: 71 | Handicap: 29|  6,370 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Since launching in 1999, this well-established course is one of the most traditional and popular on the island. You’ll be surrounded by nature and amazing mountain views thanks to Roland Favrés exquisite design. The tricky 11th hole is one to watch out for, with its stone surroundings and demanding characteristics.

New Course

Par: 69 | Handicap: 28|  5,051 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Following construction in 2008, the New Course, at Salobre Golf Resort, is an all-round winner. It’s shorter than the on-site Old Course and has a technical layout with excellent sea views. It was designed with a challenge in mind and the par 4 18th provides a fantastic finish. The fairway zigzags towards the green but watch the out-of-bounds wasteland down the left.

Las Madrigueras Golf Resort & Spa

Golf Las Americas

Par: 72 | Handicap: 28 |  6,617 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Open since 2000, this 90-hectare course has a gently sloping, amphitheatre design which includes streams, ravines and lakes to add an element of challenge. Designed by John Jacobs, it incorporates the stunning sea and mountain views excellently. It’s also hosted a handful of Spanish championships. The clubhouse overlooks the 18th hole, so it’s the perfect place to relax after a testing round.

Hotel Suite Villa Maria

Golf Costa Adeje – The Championship

Par: 72 | Handicap: 28 |  6,787 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Found in the Tenerife foothills, Golf Costa Adeje was designed by renowned golf architect Jose Gancedo, who’s often referred to as the ‘Picasso of Golf’. He integrated the natural features of the land, including the original banana plantations, to create this picturesque but testing course. Unusually, the two hardest holes here are par 3s, and the 187-yard 7th is a real card-wrecker!

The Ritz-Carlton Abama

Abama Golf Course

Par: 72 | Handicap: 34|  6,449 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Consisting of three nine-hole loops, this extensive golf resort offers a fantastic contrast between black volcanic-sand bunkers and lush greens and fairways. You’ll find a few water challenges as well, so it’s the ideal blend of scenic and sporty. The 457-yard, par 4 third on the north nine is a tough test and the narrow fairway is lined with some pesky black-sand bunkers.

Hotel Fariones

Tias Golf Course

Par: 72 | Handicap: 36|  6,707 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Designed by Ron Kirby, this modern, 18-hole course slopes gently towards the sea and integrates the typical landscape of southern Lanzarote. Be careful to factor the breeze into your shots – this can either be a help or a hindrance! During play, you can gaze out onto the Atlantic Ocean and neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.

Hotel Grand Teguise Playa

Lanzarote Golf Club

Par: 72 | Handicap: Men: 28 Women: 36|  6,707 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Designed by the well-known American architect Ron Kirby, he took into account several aspects: On one hand, he designed the greens to be challenging but not unfair. On the other hand, he also paid attention to the natural contour of the site, keeping the existing rock features and taking advantage of the wonderful views offered by the site. He adapted the original land, retaining its attractive curves in keeping with the idyllic landscape of Lanzarote.

Golf Club Costa Teguise

Par: 72 | Handicap: Men: 28 Women: 36|  6,476 yards  |  Driving Range: Yes

Its design is smooth, varied and with numerous dog leg holes. With more than 3,000 palm trees that enclose the fairways, its native vegetation and volcanic lava make this course an oasis in the traditional landscape of Lanzarote.
