Costa Adeje
On a Costa Adeje holiday, families and couples alike can expect great food, classy shopping and a touch of glitz. With sensational views and thrilling waterparks not far from the resort centre, it won’t take long to realise you can have a whole lot of fun here in this part of Tenerife.
Tenerife’s naturally dark sands have been swapped across certain stretches in favour of golden grains from the Sahara – you’ve got the best of both worlds. Check out the lighter side in Playa del Duque, while the richer stuff’s in Playa Fanabe. After Blue Flag beaches? Put Playa Torviscas, Playa Enramada and Playa Troya on your radar.
Canarian cuisine
Why not copy how the locals eat in the Canary Islands? Look out for garlicky chicken, tasty tapas, seafood paella and spicy mojo sauce made with red or green peppers – and don’t miss out on the local fish. For those who fancy a flavour of home, there are some reasonably priced Brit cafés.
Marine adventures
Stroll around the stylish marina at Puerto Colon and admire the luxury yachts. The harbour is the place to catch a boat out into the Atlantic and do a spot of whale and dolphin watching. You won’t get better chances to ogle at ocean wildlife in their natural swimming pool.
Sprawling across a huge four acres, this wonderful water kingdom has heaps of attractions to keep everyone happy. Plus, the Thai-inspired theme adds a touch of magic to things. When it comes to the Tower of...
This tranquil beach in Costa Adeje is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Hire one of the many sunloungers and enjoy the soft breeze drifting in from the sea. And if you're hungry there's a beach bar close by....

Very pleased with the Hotel, I agree it is a bit tired but it's clean and lovely staff,we were H/B and couldn't fault the choice of food on offer, I would return if I was ever going back to Costa Adeje.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were so helpful and very accommodating the room was great and the cleaning staff were the best can't comment on the food as we were self catering.

Great location, Poor accommodation!
20 Mar 2024
The quality of our apartment was extremely disappointing, it was in dire need of refurbishment ant didn’t look like it had seen a lick of paint for many years!
Everything in the apartment was extremely old including cupboard doors falling off.
I would definitely not recommend staying here!
I asked to change apartments but they said there were no alternative ones available, I’m not sure that was true as the resort didn’t seem to be full.

Amazing Hotel
02 Aug 2023
Absolutely amazing hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming, great pool side entertainment through the day including pool party’s, aqua gym, pool dances etc. Food was very nice, very clean restaurant, a choice of different foods each day/ each meal time, they also do different food nights such as; asian night, mexican night etc. meals times were good, breakfast was 7.30-9.30am, lunch was 1pm-3pm and tea was 6.30pm - 9.30pm, night time entertainment was great children’s entertainment and dances were 8,30pm until 9.00pm and then acts came on from 9.30pm, pool was great only problem was that it didn’t open until 10am and it shut at 6pm, but overall was amazing, sun loungers was great and wasn’t a mad rush to get them however if you are a bigger family then i would reccomend getting there for 10am when opens to guarantee a sunbed, there were also a choice of 2 pools, one big pool great for all ages and then a smaller heated pool more for the quiet side, the hotel rooms were great, plenty of space and beds were comfy enough, not all rooms have air con so if you need this then i would reccomend making sure your room has this before going, Amazing atmosphere all around would definitely travel back here and would reccomend to all people.

Pleasantly surprised
05 Oct 2022
We stayed in a superior apartment overlooking the quiet pool. It was well equipped and very large. Yes it was a little tired but it had everything needed including air con.
The staff were outstanding..they were always smiling and couldn’t do enough to help. The food was good and varied, my only gripe would be that it wasn’t always hot enough but that’s just me.
There were always sun beds available at all times of the day around our pool and it wasn’t necessary to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve them. I can’t comment on the main pool as we did not sit there.
The location was good with a supermarket and shopping centre on the doorstep and the twice weekly was just across the road. The beach was about a 15 minute walk away although it was a bit of an uphill trek on the way back and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
We thought that for a 3 star hotel El Duque was great value for money.

Couldnt find a fault with the hotel its self…….staff were all great, food good for all inclusive. Location was ok but the hill walking back up from the beach killed us for the first 4 days until we got used to it.
Room was fantastic with seaview and great sunsets.

Enjoyable week for all the family
07 Sep 2022
I booked a week for myself and kids (18 and 12) last minute and was happy that the rooms were apartments, meaning that there was a separate living room, kitchen and bedroom, with a sofa bed n the living room.
the apartment was clean and functional, apart from a lack of air con - with only one ceiling fan in the living room. You could rent an air con unit so at least there were options.
The bedroom could be split into twins easily so the kids were able to share without bickering. The kitchen had a microwave / kettle / fridge and plenty more. The living room had a TV with plenty of English options, *(BBC1 / 2 / ITV / C5 / C5 to name a few), which would be massively useful on the off chance of a rainy day,
The hotel itself is located in a great part of the town, away from the beach area but only a 10 minute walk and with plenty in the local area the El Duque Plaza (small shopping centre) is literally there as you walk out of the hotel exit, with some good big brand shops and a small supermarket as well, as well as a few good restaurants and an Irish pub, which shows Premier League matches. The local area has plenty of other shops / bars / food / etc to offer
We stayed all inclusive and this wasas expected, some Spanish options, some other European options, a good selection though, - both in terrines and coked fresh in front of you. There was one main bar which was very quick service and stocked all the usual local drinks brands, cocktails, kids choices, etc.
Next to this was the entertainment area - which was busy every evening, and used in the day by people using the bar - talking of which, entertainment was very good and varied, usually a singer but a different act every night. the animation team were busy in the day with various activities for all the guests, my youngest enjoyed the water polo, pool, table tennis, etc.
Everything is set around the main pool, the two downsides of the pool area were that it opened at 10am and closed at 6, and the tiles were continually coming off the floor of the pool, so while they had a team of people repairing it overnight, by the end of each day there were piles of small tiles left by guests.. I have to say, this didnt spoil the stay.
A strange thing - all inclusive finishes as midday on your last day - you have to cut the bands off and then lunch and drinks are not available to you without charge, which was a bit bizarre
We really enjoyed our stay - a great break with more positives than not and would go back

Aparthotel El Duque
06 Aug 2019
Excellent hotel for young families, felt really safe and secure, good mix of nationalities, cheesy entertainment, but all good fun, spotlessly clean. Apartments no frills but spacious with huge balcony( superior), food nice with a great choice. Would definitely go back.

Perfect for the price

We found this hotel just right for us in every way. Location, price, lovely appartment. We enjoyed the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We particularly liked the two nearest beaches. Fanabe and la Caleta both have yellow sand brought over from the Sahara desert. The other beaches are only a short bus ride away.
The hotel has two pools and there was no shortage of sunbeds.

Excellent Holiday
03 Apr 2019
We loved our stay at El Duque. We liked the traditional style of the building, rooms slightly dated but had every thing we needed and were spacious. We didn’t have air conditioning which we would definitely opt for next time. The cleaning and room servicing was excellent. All the restaurant staff were efficient and friendly. The pools and outside areas were well managed and had lovely plantings. We loved Adeje beach and swam in the sea everyday.

Nice hotel with a few minor adjustments needed
30 Jan 2019
We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend on an all inclusive basis which is what we like to do as we don't venture out too much due to just wanting a relaxing few days. Although the food was lovely with a lot of choice one thing i was suprised to find that the snacks at the bar we're not included in the AI basis, i have never been anywhere on this basis where you couldnt have a snack by the pool so if you we're feeling a little peckish you had to go into the restaurant to eat unless you we're prepayed to pay. The bar had a decent choice but on 2 occasions they ran out of our preferred choice of drink so unless you are prepared to pay for premium labels, prrpare to seek alternatives. The room itself was lovely and clean and both pools are really nice. The pools we're condoned off between 6pm and did not open till 10am, the only bonus to this is you don't need to get up early to get a sunbed but everyone is chomping at the bit at 10am!!! The bar does not open till 11am either so no cold drinks until then although there is a coffee machine available. The beach is about a 10 minute walk which isn't too bad but costa adeje is quite hilly so be prepared to climb back to the hotel which can be quite exhaustive especially in the heat. Overall a nice stay but wouldn't return because of the snack situation. The chap on reception needs a little help on his people skills too

Get Air Conditioning
18 Sep 2018
Everything was excellent until u try to sleep, had a fantastic room with a really large terrace right above the restaurant but had no A/C and it was impossible to sleep in the bedroom as it was so hot. Ended up dragging the mattress into the lounge and slept on the floor for the entire 2 weeks as it least there was a ceiling fan in there!!! Only negative- everything else was fantastic.

Very noisy hol
17 Sep 2018
We have stayed at this hotel twice before so new what it as like. What we didn’t expect was for our room to be right on top of all the building work that is been done outside the hotel. When we complain was told we couldn’t move as hotel was full (no it wasn’t) hotel reception staff rude and not helpful was told work started at 9am until 6pm 😂 they started at 7am every morning and finished at 7.30pm everyday even over the weekend. Our reps manager came to see for himself to so how bad the noise was and agreed with us it was bad. If you are thinking of staying at this hotel NOT book an studio apartment as this is the side the work is on.
