GF Fanabe

Fanabe staff are all great, the hotel is clean. However we were a wee bit disappointed with the evening meals. Breakfasts were 1st class. Maybe it just wasn’t for us.

We have stayed in this hotel every February for the last 11 years. Its location for the beach and the quieter side of Tenerife make it an excellent choice. The food is served in an excellent buffet with a wide choice to suit every taste. Rooms are spacious with an excellent bathroom.

Lovely hotel, conveniently located with friendly and attentive staff. Varied and consistently good entertainment too. The usual scramble for sunbeds but that seems to happen everywhere nowadays 😢

This hotel is wonderful for our 5th visit. The staff are so friendly and the facilities are second to none. The adult only roof terrace is a haven to sunbathe all day without kids running around and with a bar there’s no need to move far for a coffee or drink. Two small pools on the roof and a large pool in the grounds are a real bonus. Entertainment most nights either inside the hotel or outside on the terrace is very welcome. The restaurant is filled with so many choices, no one should complain. Well prepared meats, fish or veggie options are always tasty and first class. We enjoyed the all-inclusive option via Jet2 and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Highly recommended and we will be back in January 2026.

Review based on family of four with 2 rooms. On arrival we thought the rooms were next to each other , however we were one side of the floor and the kids were the other. I wasn’t so keen and give their dues they arranged for a room change within a couple of days but the boys said they were fine where they were and I also liked my room. Their room overlooked the pool and seemed slightly smaller than our but very spacious. The sofa bed is always a worry but here you need not if 3 sharing a room as they are just as big a mattress as the beds. Our room overlooked the car park and to be honest it was great, again seemed slightly bigger and had the sofa bed plus a couch. Beds were comfortable Room was clean albeit could do with a wee update but that said you don’t live in the room so it was ideal. Towels and sheets changed with a note for maid. Maid service was great, rooms always clean. Rooms had air con and boys used it constantly , I didn’t use as as it a personal preference. Safes in room reasonably priced. We were AI and I know other hotels you pay for branded drink , however it was a little off putting for the snack bar to only have smaller things AI inclusive but most food you had to pay extra. That said we didn’t really use the snack bar as the restaurant was next to it and most of what was on offer you could get a lunch. The AI fridge at pool was filled at 10am and throughout the day with fruit, croissants, yoghurts and ice cream …just perfect. The main pool ..there is a roof top one for adults only, bar, cover and plently of beds. Also there is another pool round along from pool bar with a Seperate pool, Astro grass and plenty of beds. The main pool is spacious enough and the music played during the day by the animation team covers all age groups. The animation team were great if you had kids. The pool rule is you cannot “reserve” the beds at silly O clock and if you do it your towels are removed before 10. I loved this as it meant I could relax, have breakfast and choice of beds at 9/920. Beds are comfortable enough , some older than others and padding not so thick so have a look. Pool is a good depth which my boys being over 6 feet enjoyed. There is a shop on site and to be honest it’s limited but reasonable. Entertainment, the football was on when we were there however at from you had live music and great variety and all good, kids were at the back at the poolside with animation for kids disco etc and if You wanted you could just chill

We have stayed here over 10 times. Cannot complain over anything. The rooms are spacious and clean the staff are great and the food is plentiful and good. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel looks great on the internet, pulled up I felt it looked a bit dated. I was wrong on this the interior of the hotel is fine the rooms perfectly adequate maybe in need of an update sometime soon ish. Restaurant was great with a buffet style but also an omelette chef in the mornings & fresh meat cooked to your liking in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again overall it was great value

We have recently returned from yet another week at the GF Fanabe . It’s still excellent and we have just booked again for next year, does that not say it all .

I had a great holiday at this hotel. The place was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The food was plentiful and extremely good. I would be more than happy to come back and recommend to anyone.

hotel was clean staff very nice , hard walk uphill from the beach , reasonable quality lots of choice breakfast ,entertainment night time not great but ok a family hotel but still ok for couples having rooftop pools for adults

The hotel was nice and clean. It is good for a 4 star so what you expect. However a few things put a dampen on my holiday. The hotel claims they forbid people to save sun loungers in the morning but they will let 1 person stay with however many loungers you want as long as they don’t leave. This means they are all gone by 9am so you can’t sit by the pool. The staff at reception and the bar were nice but the staff in the restaurant were rude. The entertainment was okay but a bit annoying as it is placed right outside the hotel and our room faced the outside onto the adult entertainment. I would have rathered having a room facing the child’s entertainment, it would have been less annoying. The hotel is great I think for families and if your going all inclusive you will get your moneys worth, but for me I won’t be staying here again. The location is great as you have shops round the corner and the beach is a 5 min walk.

Great location for this hotel. Hotel food good and plenty choice, room clean and spacious and overlooking pool. Second trip to this hotel and most definitely won’t be our last stay here.staff have always been nice and friendly and entertainment great each night.

Lovely hotel, very modern and clean. friendly, helpful staff including admin and maids etc. spacious rooms and clean bathrooms, although showers only, no bath unfortunately, but the bathroom door is badly designed having little space to get round. Sliding doors would have been better, as the last day shower room (room 101!) had and was much better. After saying all that, the hotel more than lives up to its reputation, The food is gorgeous, fresh every day with plenty of choice and different themes every day. The one thing I loved was the honeycomb honey which I've never seen before in any hotel and which was lovely! This hotel is one of the Iberostar chain which have never disappointed.before, so would definitely stay here again. Oh! and the beds were really comfortable - dare I say, better than my own bed at home!!

This was a very special holiday. The hotel was perfect apart from the English breakfast sausages! Spotless, friendly housekeeping, nothing too much. Evening entertainment if you wanted it. Usual sunbed towel reservations but everywhere has that problem. Good shop for essentials and a good range of pools. Faultless

Food was very poor Restaurant was more like a works canteen Sheets were too small for the bed. Pillowcases we’re too small for the pillows. Towels were too small to dry you with and they were very thin. I had to complain one day as there was a huge rip in the towel. For the price of the hotel I thought this was very bad and I certainly wouldn’t ever go there again
