Lovely hotel
10 Jul 2024
Firstly I have to mention the rooms which are excellent, modern rooms with comfy beds. A gorgeous bathroom with rainfall shower. To me the rooms are the best part of the hotel. We were a family of 4 adults and went all inclusive. The food was good with something for everyone even though buffet food gets very repetitive after a few days there was always freshly cooked meat and lots of other choices at dinnner. Breakfast was great also but if I have one complaint it’s that the waiters/waitresses were just a bit too keen to take your plate away before you had actually finished and you are constantly asked for a room number even though you have an all inclusive band on. The wine served with dinner was not good, we tried red white and rose but all were not of a good quality so we opted for cava which was good. have to say all the staff were very polite and helpful. We can’t really comment on the entertainment as we didn’t really get involved but what we did hear was a bit of the same cheesy singing most nights. Also the cocktails in the bars were fire, they were all out of a machine and really not good. I would of thought a four star hotel would have had better.
We opted to use the facilities on the top floor as we preferred a quieter place and it was lovely up there with a quiet pool and beds which we reserved on quite a few days. A big thank you to Christian who was great. A word of warning though the upstairs facility’s you have to pay extra at 25euros per day for a bed and all drinks have to be paid for regardless of all inclusive. We opted to do this for the lovely ambience of being up there.
The hotel itself is very nice if a little away from any of the main towns but a short bus ride away for a few euros you can get to most places. The taxis are also very good and there are lots of them so never a problem.
All in all the hotel was good but I probably wouldn’t return and that’s nothing against the hotel, I have visited all the other Canary Islands and Gran Canaria is probably my least favourite of the islands although I would recommend a trip to the banana plantation and the honey rum factory. Well worth a day trip to both. Also a trip to Puerto de Mogan market on a Friday is great for a bargain or two and a beautiful town with very quaint buildings.

Lovely hotel with good amenities, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Plenty of room around the pools and daily organised activities. I stayed on an all-inclusive basis and the food was plentiful, varied and of reasonable quality. I didn't use the spa facilities but did visit the rooftop pool area which was also very impressive.

Family holiday
08 Aug 2022
On first inspection this hotel seems like a dream but when we checked in to our family room we were met with a view of a 6 foot wall on one side and a car park on the other, there was blood on the mattress protector and a big damp patch on the ceiling. The food was ok not an awful lot of choice and it became very boring by the end of the week. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful but reception staff seemed miserable

Dated hotel and Dirty Rooms
10 Jun 2019
The Hotel is very dated and the spa was being refurbed which was a disappointment as all the pictures lead us to book this hotel. My advice is the investment should be used on the rooms, sun beds, bar areas which are in need of some modernisation.
Cleaning staff need retraining or more time to clean rooms
On arrival we were glad of some food provided after a long journey but after we'd finished there was no one to show us where the room was, so had to wait to find someone to point us in the right direction.
When we finally got to our room, it was not clean at all, we own a hotel and know how some people can be picky but this wasn't good at all, bathroom still had soap marks, shower glass had stains on, light fitting was full of dust, veranda had long black hairs, phone covered in dust I could go on and on, we went to complain and they sent a housekeeper around who we couldn't communicate with and was in a rush to leave !!
All through the stay we were woken early in the morning but delivery's from underneath and housekeeping dragging there trolleys out
During our stay two of our children came down with a sickness and tummy bug, so were confined to the room.
We informed the rep who was very helpful and we spoke to reception if we could have some more sheets and towels, the first time they just dumped them on the room and we had make the bed and on the section time, we asked at 9am in reception and they finally turned up at 1pm, after me going to complain TWICE.
We own pubs and hotels and know how customers are picky and awkward, but this is not the case here

Fantastic holiday
10 Jun 2019
Just got back from our 2nd time at this hotel. Great variety of food everynight. Meat and fish cooked from fresh in front of you and an area dedicated to a specific cuisine everynight spanish, mexican etc. Fantastic salad bar with hors d'ouevres every night plus the usual chips burgers for the kids along with selection of veg and rice. We stayed in the annexe where the family rooms are which are great and spacious with 2 balconies one at front with sunbeds and one at the back with a table and chairs. Loads of wardrobes and storage and a little fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms were being decorated while we were there ours was freshly decorated. Maids in everyday with fresh towels. Cant speak for rooms in hotel but from reception and the bars its clean and modern. 2 pools and a great kids club. Only issue I have with this hotel is all inclusive ends at 12pm no matter what time u arrive.we didnt arrive until 10 so missed tea all though there was a cold buffet provided at 11 and one of my children didnt like anything so they made him some chips which was lovely. You also get a meal token if your on a late flight on your last day which includes one drink each but I do think the all inclusive should end when you leave for the sake of a few extra drinks and mainly drinks for the kids. Late check out rooms are available at a reasonable price. We got one till 5pm for 30 euros you have to be out of your room at 12. The evening entertainment was no comparison to last year. There were singers on everynight and a kids disco upstairs but little else. Last year we had magic shows dancers something thing different in the bar inside plus the singers outside. There is also a games room for the kids. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a great family holiday. About a 30 minute walk to maspolomas beach which is amazing or 7 euros in a taxi. Same again to playa del ingles. 14 euros on bus to puerto rico or 27 euros in a taxi. All worth a visit.

Overall a nice family holiday
05 Jun 2019
Had to wait 2+ hours for our room to be ready on arrival, offered a pass to the spa in compensation. We had a family room on the 2nd floor which although in need of a refurb suited the three of us just fine as it had 2 separate bedrooms. It had a balcony but the balcony never gets the sun and was up a few flights of stairs so may not be suitable for some (no help is given with your cases on arrival). The pool area is very nice and there was never a problem with getting sunbeds. The food was mostly OK, if a little repetitive, but we had a big problem one day when one of our party was served raw chicken kebab, when I complained to the manager he said it was beef!!! and we could have asked for it to be cooked more. The bar and waiting staff are mostly friendly although I find insisting you take your room key to get a drink when you have to wear the all inclusive bands a bit strange. Overall a nice family holiday.

First time in Gran Canaria
04 Jun 2019
Didn't know what to expect for our first time in Gran Canaria but we had not to of been worried, what a lovely clean island and what a lovely hotel. The only niggle was the price for the added extras that were not made that clear before arrival with the roof pool and sun loungers but overall a very nice place to stay and explore from.

Lovely holiday was had by all.
19 Apr 2019
Overall the hotel is lovely with great views & great staff . The food was good with lots of fresh fish & meats and a large choice to suit everyone; lovely staff and a lovely, airy dining room. Our room was big if a little dated, with very comfortable beds (twins unfortunately), and it was cleaned daily. We hired the safes @ €2.50 p/day as the patio doors don’t lock, and used the hotel pool towels @ €50 deposit and €.50 p/towel cleaning charge..they are a bit thin and ripped fyi. The bath rooms need a little TLC but clean towels daily and shower gel/shampoo and soaps provided. A bit of investment is required to get this hotel back to a 4* in our opinion, but we had a lovely break and would recommend it.
Read the small print as their All Inclusive is a bit different to our previous experiences but it’s all in the information.
