LABRANDA Hotel Bahia De Lobos

I'm staying here atm with three adults and a 15 year old. Some reviews I read before coming out here were very worrying so I'm gonna be honest. Reception staff are very nice and helpful but hotel needs updated and especially in reception and bar areas. The rooms are very clean but beds are hard. Definitely bring a jacket as its cold from around 8pm. The pools are absolutely freezing. Get up at 7am to reserve a sunbed all the good spots are taken from 6am! The breakfast and lunch was very good but dinner not very appealing and not roasting hot if that's what you want. The hotel is close to everything with the beach only a five or ten minute walk. Lots and lots of reasonable shops and an abundance of eateries and bars. It's cloudy every morning until 11am then hot sun until 5/6pm then cloudy again. It's windy all the time not a gale but a strong breeze. The dirty cups around the pool aren't always lifted from the day before. It's definitely not four star but good enough for a week's holiday though I don't think I would come back.

Pros: - Lovely large spacious bedrooms - Hotel in a good location - Unlimited access to the water park included in our holiday which made the trip. - Nice pool areas - Hard working and helpful staff everywhere from reception, dining areas and cleaners - The restaurant opened up late the night we arrived especially to accommodate late arrivals. A nice touch and also there is always a little continental early breakfast in reception area before the restaurant opens. -weekly pool foam party (not guaranteed and put on by external company) Cons - Worst all inclusive food I’ve ever had. Reasons are - not enough staff so plates, cutlery, food often run out. Layout of the restaurant by the pool used for breakfast is awful creates queues where not needed. Staff are run so ragged we often cleaned and set our table when we found a free one which is fine but then had to play hunt the plates, glasses, spoons as often empty. The worst soft drinks ever had - don’t be fooled by the juice station it is just coloured water. Other fruit juice had granules at the bottom and did not taste anything like fruit Juice. Very very poor labelling of food which was a big problem as my daughter has a severe allergy and I am vegetarian. This was probably my biggest gripe as it is dangerous. - Pool bar area, poor guy on his own sweating buckets does a great job but often out of free ice cream (conveniently on the days the paid for fridge is stocked full) and optics often not working/no syrup in soft drinks. Cocktails use the same awful juice as in the dining areas. - Worst entertainment I’ve ever experienced. One entertainer who works on her own. Unless you actively try to keep an eye out you wouldn’t notice there is any entertainment on in the day whatsoever and what there is is extremely poor. Evening entertainment was indoors even though there is a nice outdoor stage and was so bad we just ended up avoided it each night. -sunbed fiasco. So the first few days were fine and we could put towels on at 8am but this got earlier and earlier until the last few days when people had put towels out in the dark. No attempt by the hotel to sort this & not enough beds or parasols even though there is room for more. - The gym is awful. No air con, no treadmill, one bike, 2 steppers which are faulty and very old rusty weight. Decided to go running instead as felt safer! Feels like cost cutting everywhere which impacts overall experience. Wouldn’t recommend for all inclusive.

Just returned from 10 days here with our Granddaughter and Great Granddaughter. Ideal if you have kids but there is a quiet pool if you want to avoid the kids. Rooms huge and cleaned every day. Food in general was good……just one night we had to eat out as we couldn’t find anything we liked. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. I would return to this hotel any time.

The fact that this is our 2nd time here in the last 9 months tells you that we love it here. Location is perfect, staff friendly as ever and accommodation has everything you need. Only negative I would say was the kids entertainment was not as good as it was last year. The team last year where really good, great with kids all ages and nationalities. This year it just didn’t feel the same but don’t get me wrong it was still good. I would highly recommend for all types of holiday

The rooms are large and clean. All the staff are professional and very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We booked half board thinking we could get breakfast and lunch but this isn't possible you can only do evening meals. We ate at the hotel 3 nights but I am not a fan of hotel food so not the best person to comment. The breakfasts were fine.

Been to this hotel in the past used to be very good I wouldn’t return last time lack of staff pool area dirty no gym in operation no cocktails had to pay separate for them long waiting time for drinks

Just returned from a weeks stay at Bahia de Lobos with my daughter and have to say what a super stay it was.Hotel's location is fabulous,just tucked away 50 yards off the main street but hidden away.Hotel is spotlessly clean throughout.Check in was efficient,room was spacious,clean and modern.Pool areas both great and loads of sunbeds(no need for the 7.00 towel dash!).Food choice was good at breakfast,lunch and dinner and standard was also good for money paid.All staff were friendly and helpful.If I had to give a couple of negatives,shower in room poorly designed,had to use a towel to stop water leaving shower and flooding bathroom area.Evening entertainment also rather mediocre,but all in all would not hesitate to return to Bahia De Lobos.

Where to start??? This is NOT a 4 star hotel, it's barely a 3 star!! Such a disappointment especially given the amount of money we paid. The reception staff varies from unfriendly to down right rude, the place was in a state if disrepair with cracked floor tiles, exposed electrical wires, a lack of parasol around the pool, 3 poolside canopies that don't work, staff run of their feet as in such short supply and this 2 restaurant 'resort' hotel only had 1 open for practically the whole summer. The excuses ranged from it's seasonal (mid Aug is surely high season), being refurbished and waiting for small parts for the air con - depended who you asked really. This meant that the 1 restaurant was mostly carnage as it was so busy, queues to get a table and no options to eat outdoors which is surely a highlight of anyone's holiday. A third of the main pool was closed off the day after our arrival with no obvious efforts to sort the problem and a distinct lack of life guards (one life guard hovering in between 2 pools for big chunks of the day). The staff in the gym (which has archaic equipment) had a down right offensive attitude, so much so that I didn't go back. Several of the bar and table staff were lovely and worked extremely hard. Others were clearly stressed and harassed. This hotel felt like it was on the brink of going bust in my opinion. Jet 2 need to reconsider offering this hotel and certainly look ar the pricing for it, there is absolutely no value for money here. The only positive I can think of is that the room was clean and spacious, cleanliness elsewhere could have been a little better with overflowing bins around the place by mid afternoon that were only emptied once a day in the mornings, cups and rubbish rolling around the terrace and cleaning of the terrace happened around 8-10am - when people are trying or waiting to use the area. Jet 2 please review before selling holidays here at the prices we paid, should have cost around half as much!!!

Had a very relaxing time at this quite nice 4* star hotel. Really good value for money. The only negative thing was that I think the entertainment could be of a higher standard. Just a few metres from centre of resort and beach only 400 metres from the hotel.

It is many years since my wife and I visited this area and what a pleasant surprise we got on our return,more modern, completely changed for the better. We stayed at this hotel for a week in late Feb Weather was beautiful.The hotel was 1st class, 2storey blocks built all around the complexL 2 large pools plus child pool (lifeguard/medic on duty at each pool) Rooms were very spacious and the whole site was spotlessly clean. The food was very good with plenty of variety. Daytime activities with the humourous and energetic animation team to get you out of the sun for a while and help you to meet other guests. Evening entertainment was some very good, some average..The staff from the front desk to the dining, bar, chefs and cleaners were all very friendly and courteous .Within 3 mins from the shopping area but still well tucked away to avoid noise..Through this holiday we met some lovely people. All in all a pleasant week in the sun and without hesitation would recommend this hotel complex to all. TIP; Visit the sand dunes and marvel at the skill of the kite surfers.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Bahia de Lobos hotel. This is a great place to stay in Corralejo. Great location just off resort centre with shops & bars. Hotel staff all very friendly and welcoming, Food fantastic , rooms very spacious and well equipped. 2 large pool areas with loads of space and sun beds . The whole complex is spotless with staff working hard to keep it this way. We had a great holiday and would recommend staying here. We’ll definitely be back! The only one small negative was that our bed was quite hard but everything else was brilliant!

Great position. We should have explored more, but had a great rest anyway. Good food selection, though very 'safe' in respect of spice! We went out for an Indian one night to introduce a bit more flavour into our food, but there was nothing wrong with hotel food, just lacks spice.Can't fault the accomodation.

We had a lovely week here in the middle of November. The hotel was spotless and well looked after. All the staff were very helpful and did their very best to accommodate guests. One of the restaurants floor was re-laid whilst we were there but the alternative, second restaurant, although very busy coped very well. The room was excellent, and the food was really good and very varied.

nice and clean,close to all amenities, lovely shopping area,hotel very basic,more 3 star than 4 as advertised, some members of staff quite rude,housekeeping team very friendly, also don't think there should be a tin for tips in the food area,very tacky, more suitable in a hostel
