Side
As well as golden-sand beaches and a lively nightlife agenda, Side has some of the finest ancient ruins in Turkey. The resort’s a great place for picking up leather goods, jewellery and other knick-knacks, while you’re guaranteed tasty Turkish morsels in the various eateries dotted around the coast.
Side is one of Turkey’s most famous archaeological sites, with important ruins dotted throughout town. The Temple of Apollo, overlooking the coastline, is awe-inspiring at sunset, so don’t forget to pack your camera. And the well-preserved amphitheatre takes you back 2,000 years, so make sure you wander around.
A lively beach scene
Side is known for its long, sandy beaches. The more popular West Beach is shallow and great for families, while the East Beach is quieter and has a more secluded feel. Both offer water sports like kayaking, jet-skiing and windsurfing. But there’s a chic marina to bar-hop along, too.
After a bit of retail therapy? Look no further than Nova Mall, which is one of the best shopping spots in the Antalya area. There are more than 120 brands available to shop here, spread out over five floors!...
Side is lined with wide, white, sandy beaches. To the left, East Beach has small dunes. By day the long, soft shore is perfect for sunbathing, sandcastle building and water sports and at sunset for gentle...
There’s no excuse for missing Side’s Nymphaeum on the main road close to the amphitheatre. Information provided helps you imagine the elaborate marble fountain dedicated to the nymphs in its prime. Originally...

Holiday August 22
07 Sep 2022
I travelled here with my family in August 2022, there were 8 of us altogether so we had booked 3 rooms. On arrival we were seen to quickly and taken to our rooms. I had booked an interconnecting family room as we had our daughter and my grandmother with us, the size of the room was more than big enough and bathroom was perfectly fine. The downsides to the room were that there was only 1 small wardrobe for everyone's clothes to go in and the air con was only in the first part of the room making it very hot in the other room. We spent our first full day down at the aqua park which was fantastic our daughter loved it as did the hubby 😂 I would recommend getting to the waterpark at 9:30 when it opens though if you want a decent sun bed. The restaurant was great down there with a good variety of food available. Evening restaurant was fantastic so much choice and different food everyday (the slow cooked beef was the best I've ever tasted!!). The entertainment in the evening was fabulous they have shows on every night, we found that the club stage had the better entertainment so went over there most nights but you do have to get there early to get a seat. Daytime activities round the pool were also great, the reps were brilliant! Darts with Meret became a daily routine for the boys. The family all went on the dinghy in the sea which they really enjoyed, we purchased the photos on a memory stick for 400lira. Negatives, the alcoholic drinks menu is really quite limited, you can purchase ultra all inclusive on arrival for around £167 per person but we only found out about this 8 days into our holiday as they fail to mention it when you check in. My husband went to enquire about paying for this for the last 5 days of our holiday only to be told that everyone in the family would have to pay, some of which don't drink and that it would have cost around £500 for 5 days. We were not happy about this as the four of us in the family room were a separate booking to the other 2 rooms so decided against it. The cleaners weren't very thorough when cleaning the rooms meaning that we ended up with red ants in our room and in the bed leaving my husband with lots of bites. When I reported this though, the guy who was sent to inspect got it all sorted and changed sheets, mattress etc, cleaned the floors and balcony and sprayed a rapid spray in all affected areas which prevented them from coming back. Overall we enjoyed the holiday and would return now we know about UAI
