This was our 3rd visit to this hotel, whilst the room, facilities, location and staff remain at a really high level, I'm afraid the restaurant has gone down hill, the opening time of 8pm is late so the majority of patrons get there at that time making it very busy and the food has changed it used to be good quality hot tasty and a good variety including local dishes, now its mass trays and in the 14 nights we were there only had 1 meal that was hot, they also used to do fresh alioli and sauces now they are all pre made plastic sachets, overall a poor showing. Also we were all inclusive which is great for drinks by the pool or on the beach, however service is only available 11 am to 11 pm so if yo want a drink at 10.30 it's tough or pay 50% marked price

fabulous hotel food good lot's of choices the staff at the hotel are first class very friendly and attentive thr hotel is in a good location right on the beach and central for all the shops and local bars will definitely return .

Stayed for 4 nights with family and friends. Met another group of 4 ladies also on a short break. Fabulous hotel, facilities, staff, service, food and drinks. Loved every moment . Highly recommended. Ladies of the North met the Ladies of the South made lifelong friends.

I would definitely go back to this hotel . the food you could not fault . the staff were very friendly and helpful. location super first visited Santa Susanna in 1999, there were no hotels on the beach just the camp site, but they have not spoilt the area by building on it

Ideal location, attentive staff and super clean. Good train connections to Barcelona and Girona so not just a beach holiday as a great base to visit the bigger towns. Never a problem with sunbeds and this was height of summer - if none by pool the beach and it's plentiful beds a stones throw away

Excellent hotel. Adults only. Great pool and terrace. Very clean. Excellent facilities. Good food and drinks. An excellent choice of freshly cooked fish, poultry and meat available at each meal. Friendly staff. Spa area is good and the gym well equipped. The bed linin and towels were changed regularly. Thinking about going back.

Just back from a week's holiday at this hotel. Holidayed here same time last year. Again, so relaxing ...adults only is a bonus. Ideally situated on the beach. Food brilliant. We stayed on HB basis as liked to wander out at lunch to the many beach bars. Can't fault it.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Have been reading reviews from others who were in the hotel when we were and have made negative comments - dont think they were actually in the same hotel. Sun beds free every time we looked, sometimes pm. They were piled up at the back and you could go and pick them up ! If we felt that the wait for drinks by the waiter was a bit too long - we stood up and walked to the bar !!

Fantastic hotel. Very modern hotel, great balcony space and lovely view. Food brilliant. Service was excellent I'm genuinely pushed to raise any form of complaint and I usually do.of any kind. I most definitely would use this hotel again and would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

Beware, If your going AI then you will be waiting longer than you are drinking in this hotel at night, the staff do their best, but quite simply, there are not enough of them and the bar is too small. Well I hope that is the reason and not that they see AI band and deliberately avoid service. It says no reserving sun beds....Many guests at this hotel have been before, no way is a pool attendant going to remove their towels off the sun bed, get up early, before 8.30, else you wont get one. Food is good. Food is good, usual things on the menu for AI, if you want something cooked longer, just ask, they are very accommodating. Normally 2 or 3 fish and 2 or 3 meat dishes a day plus pizza, chips and the like. You wont go hungry no matter how fussy an eater you are. If your into beach holidays, the beach here is not great, very course sand and steep bank of a couple of feet into sea, some much nicer beaches along the coast. Barcelona. Train is just over 1 hour, station is about 20 mins walk from hotel. If you want to go on any trips there...say the cathedral, book in advance, online, else you wont get in.

The hotel was lovely and well kept, we found the staff friendly and always willing to help. Our room was nice with a sea view. Food was varied and plentiful. The hotel was ideally situated opposite the beach and only a few minutes walk from the resort centre. We were all inclusive which included some premium branded spirits. Negative was paying deposits for safe, towels etc on arrival.

Great staff make this a great hotel. The food is varied and more important tasty. The location on the beach is unbeatable. The entertainment is fun even if sometimes it's not meant to be. Always got a sun bed even if you have to wait for the sun to come around the hotel/relax and wait. Use the train to Barcelona and Gerona it's cheap and a bit more adventurous then organised trips.

This is a very welcoming, friendly hotel. All the staff with whom we came into contact were helpful and warm. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms and balconies. We stayed b&b because we like to eat out at different restaurants but breakfast was very good. Location is right on the beach. We went in June and always managed to get a sunbed. All in all a good place to stay. Well placed for the railway station which we used a few times and found it very efficient.

Visit to the hotel at the end of May 2016 for 2 weeks. The look and a feeling of this hotel is very modern and contemporary, clean lines throughout in all public and bedroom areas. Public areas of the hotel are very comfortable and spacious. It has to be noted that the pool is small however there are always plenty of sun loungers available stretching back from it. The bar area was comfortable however very quiet with not much in the way of background music and for non all inclusive it was expensive. Bedrooms were of a slightly larger than average size and more that enough storage for 2. The bathroom was excellent size with a fantastic large walk in shower. Towels and toiletries replaced/stocked as required. We had a room on the camp site side of the hotel which allowed good views to sea. We were at the back close to the railway and noted that there was no disturbance at all from the trains passing by. Breakfast in the restaurant was extremely good. Fantastic choice and eggs cooked either as an omelette or fried. Various teas, coffees and fruit juice available plus Cava. Unfortunately we felt dinner in the restaurant let it down and over the course of 2 weeks the food became very repetitive and on some occasions unappetising. It is this that knocked the hotel off the 5star review. In the evening staff were so busy it could take some time to get a drink however it has to be said that all staff were excellent and provided good service. The plus point in this restaurant was being shown to your table and the simple turn of a fork let other staff know that the table was taken, one person didht have to sit and guard the table. Staff in general were all excellent and very helpful, cheerful in their job. Excellent location, handy for the market (right outside) and the train station. Fantastic beach within a couple of steps. I would return but I think a week would be long enough
