Winning waters
You’ll spend a fair amount of time on Santa Susanna’s beautiful beaches. They’re vast with gentle, sloping sands soothing the sea, making paddling all the more enjoyable. It’s all backed by palm trees and the odd café. A short walk inland brings you to the village, with its sun-drenched square.
On your doorstep
Although Santa Susanna has a sleepy character, you’re only 20 minutes’ drive from the buzzing promenade and beach parties in Lloret de Mar – one of the Costa Brava’s favourite nightspots. And you’ll be the same distance from Blanes, with its botanical gardens and sizzling tapas restaurants – an ideal location.
Girona journeys
An hour's drive north will take you to the medieval city of Girona. On the must-see list is the baroque cathedral that towers over the main square, housing an 11th century tapestry. Don’t leave without taking a stroll around the old Jewish Quarter, and trying delicious pintxos in tapas joints.
