Klelia Beach Hotel

This is our second visit to this hotel the first was around 7 years ago and it was lovely but what a change this time We arrived at hotel around 1pm and Greece is in the mist of a heatwave it was boiling the lady on reception was not in any rush to serve us and check in was very slow even though we were the only 2 checking in. We filled in the forms and paid our dues 49 euros room tax 30 euros for the safe for 7 days then told to leave the cases in the corner and come back in an hour and half no offer of a cold drink or go to the restaurant to get something to eat or drink. We did go to the restaurant and then sat round the pool this area was very different from when we were there last the sunbeds are not the best there was stagnant water by the sunbeds from some sort of leak there was plastic cups left on tables and ashtrays full of nubs . I know that plastic glasses have to be used by the pool but for a 4 star hotel having to have plastic cups in the restaurant area just not something I enjoy. The restaurant was often full of dirty plates on tables and tables needing wiping down. The staff just seem very sullen yes they would say good morning good evening but most just seemed like they didn’t want to be there . There were a few great assets to this hotel George the bar man who always had a chat and was very funny, the bar drinks were not the best the gin the worst I have ever had aboard they also ran out of tonic water so decided to buy our own Gin and tonic but more expense . A couple of the waitresses were friendly ,food was very good and always hot which is unusual for Greece . But we did enjoy the food. The room we were allocated was 610 very clean but very dark other issues no privacy net curtain so had to have the main curtains closed has people could see in to the room . The balcony was just not usable has the aircon units were buzzing all the time so not only did you have your own air. Con outlet on you balcony wall you had the apartment below on your wall has well . Drove us insane we just kept the doors closed which was a shame has it would have been nice to sit out after a day on the beach. Overall would I recommend this hotel for position to the beach and the main strip definitely was in a perfect location but would I stay there again unfortunately not the hotel is certainly not a 4 star hotel.

Excellent hotel staff friendly and helpful. Go out of there way to help you .spotlessly clean bedding changed every day. Food is delicious. Something different every day..close to beach .shops restaurants, and bus stop . Our perfect holiday location.

I have read most of reviews but for this hotel and I can only assume my expectations for a 4 star hotel are over rated? I am convinced that Jet2holidays have not visited the hotel recently. Things that were not up standard for Jet2holidays ( I don’t blame the hotel,it has lowered it’s standard to cut costs and not been taken too task ) . The rooms were dated but clean and comfortable however there was no Wi-Fi in the room as advertised the telephone did not work and also the emergency call in shower was not working. The pool area was very dirty and sun beds covered in bird droppings, the canteen didn’t have table clothes and not table service at all. And the good bits the staff were friendly and very helpful ,room cleaning and bed making perfect. One last thing there was no information about any thing in the room,eg television channels, meal times , pool times and entertainment.

Have had 3 holidays at this property. Food great. Plenty of choice. Staff very helpful especially George at the bar. Rooms spacious and clean. Quick check in and reception staff knowledgeable about area. No faults with this place.

Great position.wonderful staff especially George the barman.great food. Lovely pool. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.everybody is very obliging.The hotel is in a good position for the beach.

The food was great with lots of choice for all. Staff were excellent from reception, bar, catering and waitresses. Hotel rooms were comfortable. Entertainment at night was ok. Would highly recommend it.

We cannot understand how this hotel got a 4 star rating . The room was very basic no doors on the wardrobe. We had a kettle and cups but no tea coffee ect had to get these ourselves from the restaurant. Only a sheet on the bed which we had to make ourselves. The shower was a joke it pointed across rather than down the bath with a grubby shower curtain and was barely more than a trickle and insecure on the wall. The bath surface was peeling off. The window was directly over the bath although frosted there was no curtain so if the light was on you could been den from the outside. The towels were threadbare and there were no toiletries. The floor was always gritty so if you didn't wear shoes the sold of you feet soon became dirty. The room was as basic as a travel lodge but worse. Very dissatisfied with the room

Very old rooms, bathrooms no good conditions, no worktop to keep your stuff , very noise flushing toilets, no any small window or ac to brief when you had shower, we had to leave the door open. All the paint from room was cracked. No any space in the room to keep your cloths, we were 3 adults and one child (a family) and we had a holiday booked for 13 nights paying £5600. The hotel doesn’t deserve 4star it’s only in 1-2 stars max . We went in many different countries for holiday and nothing it’s been a worst like this in Zante , horrible experience and never back to this place again. I can show lots of photos regarding all this . I forgot the last day when we had to stay until 4pm and I was asking for a room to have a shower and get change for leaving...it was more worst...they give a room somewhere in basement very dirty full of moschitos and my daughters started to cry when they so this horrible room.. I will not recommend this hotel to nobody .

A bright, clean small hotel, with lovely pool area and restaurant, Huge range of food on offer everyday for all tastes. close to a nice beach where turtles lay there eggs and can go and look at them getting into the sea.
