Golden Sun Hotel

This hotel is in a great location near the beach and the main strip. The staff, cleanliness, gardens, pool are all great but the food let's the hotel down, it's boring and bland, you'd say like normal all inclusives but this is so basic and tasteless, pasta with butter was an option 1 night. We would return for the above but skip the all inclusive

We’ve stayed twice at the Golden sun prior to Covid and returned from our 3rd trip 6th October. The rooms have clearly had a make over and everywhere was spotlessly clean. New sunbeds & parasols and a few familiar faces was great to see. Housekeeping as usual were fabulous, our room was serviced daily, fresh towels & toiletries & bins emptied. Reception /front of house staff were professional & welcoming on arrival and throughout our entire stay. Unfortunately, In our opinion the food has gone down hill. Rapidly. Food was lukewarm, and the combinations on offer were strange. I love carrots and cauliflower but not for breakfast Thankyou. The food was of poor /cheap quality in comparison to previous visits and sometimes labelled incorrect. A breaded chicken dish turned out to be fish & a beef dish was actually pork. Plenty of salad but limited desserts. I honestly felt like we were being fed ‘on the cheap’ and food was being recycled. The waiting staff were good at clearing tables , and the chap in charge of replenishing the trays and wiping the sides obviously took great pride in his work - he was on the go constantly keeping everything clean & presentable. Please for the love of God get the management to buy the waiting staff some new shirts! The material is obviously the problem because all the waiting staff looked scruffy in their ‘ off white’ creased shirts. Eating & drinking outside the hotel was reasonably price , as were the taxis. Would certainly return again but

From the time we arrived until we sadly went home, the staff at this hotel are amazing. Angela on reception what a lovely lady, Suko and Kostas worked in the restaurant very funny young men, all the staff couldn't do enough for you. Hotel is spotless, grounds kept immaculate, beach on your door step, with kalamaki beach restaurant with lovely food and staff. The only slight let down is the evening entertainment. Thomas a thomas Cook rep was fantastic young man, who gave his all to make some sort of entertainment, bit of karoke, that we gladly helped him with. Overall would love to return to this hotel, Good food, always something to eat.

Myself and my husband had the best experience at the Golden sun hotel. We can not recommend this beautiful hotel enough. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The beach was indeed golden and sandy and the food was excellent. We will certainly be coming back.

We stayed at this hotel from 5th June for one week. The restaurant provided food which was really nice and catered for all tastes. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily.The pool was lovely and there were plenty of sun beds.I would recommend this hotel it was very close to the beach. Zante town is a short taxi ride away.

Stayed at Golden Sun Hotel, Zante. Spotlessly clean, All staff friendly and efficient at their jobs. Pool area kept tidy with enough beds but also some shaded areas with seating which was needed at times. Situated near the beach A short walk to Kalamaki where the walkways were a lot uneven could be better

Have stayed at this hotel several times and this year it has become a bit disjointed especially on evenings .As usual rooms are great and comfy all staff friendly and Food is well cooked with a good Variety. Now to the evenings where we felt let down The entertainment has been relocated to The Hub at the side of the pool where the games room used to be. This results in noone going to sit inside the Shed thus leaving guests to sit on the terrace with no music or entertainment Who wants to go on holiday and sit inside a shed not very enticing and leads to a lack of atmosphere at night , Would I return ? maybe not with current set up Oh could a No Smoking section be looked at for outside terrace as it’s overwhelming with smoke some nights

We have just returned from the Golden Sun Hotel and would like to say how lovely this hotel was. It is quite a small hotel to the usual ones we stay in but was lovely and clean. Staff were really pleasant and helpful we actually got walked to our room on arrival which is a nice touch. My husband mentioned that he could only get 2 stations on TV they were there in a flash and sorted it.Only downside there was no entertainment at a night time except for the Tues when a Greek group played some music. And around the pool activities wernt brilliant. Overall a lovely chilled out holiday!! Oh and the bar didn't have any tonic for my gin just soda, not a good idea😂
