Sovereign Beach Hotel

Stayed at the Sovereign Beach in May this year with my mum. We had the best time! Loved the hotel - right on a gorgeous beach and location was perfect as just out of town but not far from Kardamena! The food was amazing for an all inclusive! Loads of variety and really fresh. Cocktails were also fab! The pizza from the pizza oven was lovely! The taverna near the beach was also a favourite! Room was well sized and beds were comfy! Little bit dated however very clean and we had a room with a pool on back which was the best decision we made as the sunbeds were really comfy and it was lovely and private! The staff were really helpful and service was very good however the entertainment could be improved! Loved the hotel overall and would definetly recommend!

Lovely location away from centre of Kardamena, but easily walkable into town. Any queries dealt with immediately. Food very good, all staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment great, pool great. Next to hotel car,bike,quad etc hire place, they are excellent. If returning to Kos would definitely go there again.

Great hotel close to everything, lovely little beach just up road from hotel cannot fault it at all because we had a great time . We will definitely be going back at some point in the future to the same place .

Poor surroundings. Sunbeds were dirty, sun loungers split. parasol bases and fixings were rusty as were fixings around pool. Drinks basic, ie; squash instead of juice. Food okay but basically same variety every day. So disappointing.

The hotel looks ok from the outside but dig a little deeper and it's not great. The all inclusive was awful. Food was only luc warm so we wouldn't eat it or we'd get ill. Ended up having pizza everyday just to avoid getting ill. The food was uncovered so flies were getting to it. The pool had algae in it and one of our party ended up with a ear infection so we didn't use that. The rooms were clean but basic. It needs modernising though as taps were rusty and needed replacing. The hairdryer broke and despite asking for it to be fixed it wasn't. The safe you had to pay for. How ridiculous is that and just another money spinner. Entertainment was terrible with some singers and belly dancers and there was no kids club or park despite them saying there was. I would not return to this hotel.

A very nice hotel. Had a great room with a massive corner balcony. Very clean everywhere and the staff work so hard from KAren at the pool bar to the guy at the beach bar/taverna. Great animation team - Neno who delivered the entertainment programme and was amazing in the show where he rides the hula hoop! Good choice of food, evening bar very good staff amazing at serving in a quick and polite manner. Pool was lovely. Evening entertainment great with professional Cuban dancers and a Greek night. Animation team very good too with their hows and a really great crew. Yoga was good, the lazy quiz was fun and the other activities looked fun too. All staff were amazing and cleaners great. Location good as beach only two mins away and exclusive to hotel. Walk into town nice along the beach with 3 bars on the way. Missed the hotel bus but it goes in morning and evening so good times there. Only negative things reception could be slow and like other groups we didn’t get a welcome drink on arrival. Safe hire is expensive we didn’t use as used the money for trips. You just get shower gel for first day and no top ups. Once again not an issue at all but if you travel with hand luggage only may want to ensure you bring toiletries. Shop in hotel for everything and not too over priced. Not to do with the hotel but a lot of trips will collect you from main road only which was a bit annoying as other guests got picked up from their hotels. Could be due to a tight turn but we got picked up by a car and mini bus and it’s always nicer if you can get collected from hotel. Mini bus could be good if they took people when they were picking people up too. More thinking of older people or those that can’t walk so far into town. Taxi was only 6euro. Very nice hotel though and remember to book for your taverna evening when you arrive as they don’t do it every evening but it’s lovely as they turn the beach bar into a Greek taverna and it was fun with so much food and some ouzo it was splendid and the waiter so hospitable. Showers great too. Spa was expensive so didn’t want to spend an hour in doors and would rather do a uk spa day as same Price. We used our free 15 minute massage on arrival which was lovely but feel the prices for the spa were high and changed each day. A better way to get people in there would be cheaper prices and shorter treatments.
