Akti Palace Hotel

We really like this hotel, traveld has a couple. Love the close location to the beach and the free bus into town. Like that you are allowed to use facilities in sister hotel and preferred the restaurant in the beach, seemed to have a bit more choice. Room was nice though maid service a little lacking but not enough to cause concerns. Mini bar refilled on a daily basis. Staff work very hard and can't thank them enough. Entertainment was decent, but if your travelling with Children not a lot on for them that we could see, seemed to be mainly happening in the Beach.

We stayed at the Akti Palace in off peak season and loved it. It was perfect for us ( a group of friends ), the pool was perfect always lots of sun loungers available under umbrellas or full sun whichever preference you have. The beach is a sandy pebble and as we're not beach people only went for a quick swim before sitting around the pool. As it's an all inclusive plus hotel, there's so many added benefits you can take part in like tennis, and mini golf. The staff were so friendly, and the Asian restaurant is a must, the food was amazing! the free shuttle into Kardamena was so handy as well allowing us to go for a shop and a drink in the cooler parts of the day.

Firstly I did have a good holiday .The staff are great and hard working . But it's not 5 star .It was let down by , thread bear towels in the rooms ,they were like old boiled nappies.The cleaner is really a bed maker . The branded drinks were actually locally produced .[but the wine was good] . You must take beach shoes ,as the sea is very rocky. The Asian restaurant ,food was good ,but rushed and was in & out in 55 minutes. 3 nights of entertainment were very good ,especially The Drifters tribute.

Overall quite excellent - staff immensely helpful and polite. Food of a very high standard if a little monotonous.. Speciality restaurants a little disappointingHotel very clean and well organisedAll inclusive fare goodExtremely well stocked bar in room - replenished daily

Upgraded to this hotel with Jet2. A hickup on arrival but once sorted a great holiday.A big thank you to jet 2 for arranging this accommodation. Rooms lovely. Staff very friendly and helpfully could not fault . A good selection of food breakfast. Dinner. Evening meals.good selection of drinks at the bar (named brands) .also a free towel service at the pool or beach .once again staff friendly and helpfully.

We found the staff at the hotel rude and hostile. The food was appalling particularly in the speciality restaurants. The pool bar was tired looking. Rooms were full of ants, uncomfortable beds and pillows! Both children got ear infections from the pool.

Very nice hotel food good ,would have preferred large dining room open at lunch time ,rather than just pool bar ,staff excellent very friendly and obliging .pools and beach sun beds really comfortable

A pleasant hotel some 4km outside of Kardamena. It is locally rated as 5 star whereas I would say overall more like the lower end of 4 star, because of small missing touches. Tissues are not supplied in the room and the main dining room feels more like cafeteria. It is very pleasant, clean and very modern. The staff are lovely. We were greeted with a cold drink and taken to our apartment block with our luggage by buggy. Our room had by choice a shared pool with 3 other apartments. The room had a proper fridge which was replenished on a daily basis with wine, water and orange juice. Excellent. There are a limited number of these pools. It was lovely for us as we like to get away during the summer for a 'stop and flop' with lots of reading, although it was next to a thoroughfare. The main pool was very busy and perhaps not the place to read. The beach was a short walk further than the main pool. It was clean and quiet and very pleasant. We needed beach shoes to get into the water and there is a sharp drop off into water which will take you out of your depth. There were always available sun beds. On the downside the sunbeds throughout were tired and the cushions were very old and in some cases looked very dirty.We were used to having drinks and lunch available without leaving the beach at a 4 star Turkish hotel and some thought should be given to having a drinks station on the beach. The pool bar was great with a good variety of food which changed from day to day with table service for drinks. Evening food was good and extensive but not particularly imaginative. I look forward to varied fish dishes, particularly starters and this was missing. This was ameliorated by having 3 other restaurants Greek, Greek fish and Asian which you need to book and book as soon as you get there, included in the all inclusive deal allowing one visit to each per week of stay. They were very good with lovely food. The wi-fi was excellent in strength and coverage. One week was enough for me as the hotel is rather isolated, and although there is a regular free bus service to Kardamena if you wish to get off site, it was not particularly attractive. There is a sister hotel which does organise 'animations' but which was so busy it did not entice us to ‘fight’ for a view. The pool bar does have some entertainment. For me not quite the right blend.

We had a 7 night holiday in June 2016. The hotel is very clean. The staff are very friendly in all areas of the hotel but a special mention to George. The main restaurant had a good choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. We booked into the Asian restaurant one evening and again could not fault the food or service but no choice it was served as a set meal. The only let down for us at the hotel was the entertainment for a 5 star hotel would have expected a good variety of entertainment but very lacking. We would return to the hotel enjoyed the stay.

We went in May as a family of 4. The children are 13 & 14. The hotel is superb. Nice and friendly staff, without being over the top. The rooms are spotless, cleaned with fresh towels and re stocked fridge with wine and fruit juice every day. Food was excellent with enough variety for even fussy eaters. No waiting around and not having to dodge through the other residents was a refreshing change. I can't fault the hotel at all in anyway. My only one small gripe would be the evening entertainment! As a guest at the Akti Palace, residents are free to use the sister hotels facilities next door where the evening entertainment is taking place. It was terrible, every night you think, it's got to get better, but it doesn't. If we had gone as a couple it wouldn't of bothered us as we would of been quite happy to sit in our hotel but the kids would of liked something to do in the evenings and with it not having a games room for them, the entertainment team was our only option. It was dreadful. I would definately go back and wasn't put off by the evenings too much. I would make plans to go into the town next time. It is a little isolated so a bus service is available to town and back.
