Lagas Aegean Village

I keep going back to the Aegean Village. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere. Location is across the road from the beach and 20 minutes walk from town, so not too far away but not in 'the thick of it' either. There is a regular service bus from outside the gate into town which twice a day goes all the way to Kos town - a nice day out at minimal cost. The hotel restaurant is cafeteria style and so provides a varied choice and is ideal for my vegetarian partner. Hotel layout may not be ideal for anybody with mobility issues, as room are built into he hillside, but a courtesy bus is available 24 hours a day and the layout does avoid any night time disturbance from other guests. Daytime music and activities round the pool, with a separate children's pool and play area

Firstly the resort of Kardenena was excellent, lovely beaches , nice restaurants, nice bars . The Hotel though was not up to standard mainly due to cold and difficult staff especially around meal times , resturant front of house staff and table waiters not friendly, reception staff apart from one or two exceptions just as bad . Not sure if it was because of the Hotel boss was always present and the staff seemed cowed , who knows . The food on offer was average definitely not at 4☆ level in fact lots of 3☆ resturants have offered similar quality and in many cases much better quality and choices . So would definitely visit Kardemena again but unfortunately not this Hotel again.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Nice to be able to use inflatables and balls in the pool, unlike in Spain these days. Bit of a pain having to wear long trousers at evening meal in 20°+ heat. Not so bad if your room was on a lower level like ours, nightmare if you were higher up like our friends were. Bar staff a little slow and not all that friendly. A little out of the town, but a nice 20 minute stroll along the seafront to all the bars etc, only €8 in taxi back. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel and very good food. Some really lovely staff and some awful staff, lovely design hotel but rooms need some modernisation. Quite dated, ants drove me nuts in the rooms, no toileties provided, and only hotel I’ve ever been in that doesn’t let you charge anything to your room!! Great pool entertainment, only negative there is far too much smoking around the pool and you have to pay for sunbeds on the hotels private beach! Transport very poor, bus only comes every 1hr 15mins. Taxi can take hours to arrive so had to book transport via tui as jet2 was no where to be seen for 4 days. Highly recommend kos4you for day trips, excellent service & value. Make the most of it & enjoy.

Excellent hotel. Spacious light and cool in public areas. Rooms set into hillside rather than in a traditional block means no disturbance from guests walking past in the corridor (could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues though). Self service restaurant with good food choice even for vegetarians. Friendly staff. Nice pool with plenty of sun beds. Offers private beach just across the road and a 20 minute walk into town. Ideal spot in my opinion

Not what I expected at all staff very rude, trousers at dinner rule ridiculous for a buffet style dinner, with limited options paid for half board and only used the facilities once. Annoyed that you didn’t even get a drink provided with your meal not even asked if we would like water. The location is not suitable for young children or disabled people if placed at the top as I was. Mini bus provided but the drivers made you feel uncomfortable for asking for the ride to your room. Has put me off ever going to any other Greek island ever again will be definitely not recommend this hotel or island.

Lagas is a very pleasant Hotel, quiet, vey very clean, friendly, well mannered and helpful Staff.As it is on a steep Hill, you will either walk quite a bit or use the ever going up-and-down vans. The Staff on the vans are helpful, respectful and friendly too.20 minutes walk to Kardamena centre or you can take the bus.I have chronic neck pains and bought around 12 different pillows over the last few years, none really worked. At Lagas the pillow in my room did not give me any neck pains, so I spoke to Staff if I could buy the pillow.The Manager decided that I could bring a pillow back to the UK for free. I am very grateful for this and want to thank them, as this made a big difference in my life !Thank you Staff at Lagas !!

The Hotel complex is very nice. Very clean and staff a super friendly and helpful. Perfect Hotel for families with young children. The Hotel is built chalet-style into the hill. We were lucky to have our room at the bottom of the hill as it is quite a hike to room numbers 500 and up. Although they do provide minibus transport.

Absolutely brilliant holiday. Accom was lovely and cleaned everyday. My special requests were met (above and beyond). Pool area clean and well kept gardens surrounding. Staff couldn't do enough to help. We had an issue with one of the patio doors... told them before dinner and it was fixed when we got back. Only downsides if any... entertainment not the best, but we didn't go for.tht anyway and men must have long trousers for evening meal.. we weren't told.of.this until we arrived.

It was our first holiday in Greece and we thoroughly enjoyed it The hotel was very clean very well run and the staff helpful and very friendly Location was good right next to the beach but if you wanted bars etc then it would be a 15 minute walk Only downside to the hotel was the owner himself Not the friendliest person on our planet and could be a little happier that his domain is very popular After viewing reviews before booking this hotel many of the comments were of the same opinion

This is a beautiful place to stay, if you are located in low rooms. It is built on the side of a hill but has a minibus to chauffeur you to and from your room. Long trousers are a must for males at evening meal times.

Absolutely fabulous Hotel in every way. Caring, supportive and helpful staff. Each visitor is treated with respect, friendship, warmth and are spoken to in their home language. The rooms are very comfortable, with good size bathrooms and comfy beds. The air conditioning is just perfect, towels changed daily and rooms cleaned quickly and efficiently. The food within the hotel is vast in choice from breakfast, lunch and evening meal; fantastic presentation, freshness and quality. The pool is of a good size and plenty of beds to choose from. I would 100% recommend this hotel for a relaxing enjoyable holiday.
