Green-hilled bay
Torba is a stylish seaside village that still has a rural feel, with pine-clad mountains all around. Down by the coast, there’s a small harbour with top-quality seafood and Turkish restaurants, as well as laid-back cafés. The main pebble beach is a quiet spot, while Bodrum’s nightlife is a taxi ride away.
Day trips back in time
Overlooking the town is a hilltop tomb built over 2,500 years ago, while you’ll also discover that there are the ruins of a Byzantine monastery. Jump on a ferry from Torba to see the famous Greek ruins at Didyma, as well as the wowing ancient sites at Priene and Miletus.
