An ancient town
Often referred to as the oldest city in Portugal (yep, the whole of Portugal!), Ponte de Lima is straight out of a film set! History buffs will be in their element, but countryside-lovers will find the peace they are craving around here too.
Medieval architecture
Ponte de Lima is covered with footprints of its rich past. The town’s main attraction is a 14th-century bridge, after all! Walk along the riverside and you’ll spot more pretty bridges, or wander into the city centre to catch sight of dinky churches and cathedrals.
