Take the sea-nic route
See those glittering grains and pebbles in the distance? Yep, that’s Finikounda’s biggest draw – the beach. It’s where people go for R&R, a paddle or even to check out the water sports, so you can bet it’s the place to be. It’s got its fair share of handy eateries behind it too.
Local attractions
As it’s sandwiched between Methoni and Koroni, there are plenty of must-see attractions on your doorstep. There’s the castle in Methoni for one, while you’ll have clusters of shops and taverns to wander around in both towns. It’s laid-back holidaying with a pinch of adventure here.
The full flavour
This part of Greece is rich in delicious produce. We’re talking Kalamata olives, figs, grapes and honey, with meaty dishes proving popular. Roast pork and smoked sausages are favourites, alongside net-fresh cod fried in a smooth, garlicky sauce. Does it get any better?
