There’s another sandy beach, Palea Fokea, further around the bay, meaning more choice of where to flop down on the shore.

When it comes to evenings out, head to Anavyssos’ seafront and you’ll find lots of fish tavernas overlooking the water. Grab a table with a view of the glittering Saronic Gulf and tuck into favourites like prawn saganaki, grilled anchovies and crab salad as the sun goes down.
