Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje

As always had a great time at Bahia principe Costa adeje, we have been going to this hotel for more than 20 years the staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble,we had an issue with room allocation and it was sorted by the next day thanks to reception staff Juan,Esther and Marina.Food,there is something for every taste also a children’s section and pasta and pizza made to your taste.

We were very disappointed with the accommodation standard and food offering at the hotel. The hotel was in a very poor state of repair in both the rooms and communal areas with holes in walls, fire safety alarms broken or hanging off walls (reported at the time) and the rooms were 3 star at best with broken units, fridges, phones and aircon units. Reporting of issues led to a series of broken promises and no action or effective customer service. The dining was the worst we have ever experienced with a huge selection of bland tasting foods, lukewarm warm or on occasions either undercooked or burnt with the speciality restaurants less the Asian restaurant particularly disappointing. We ended up eating out after the first 4 days as a result.

Not up to the usual standards expected from the Bahia Principe Group. Rooms in need of refurbishment along with the bathroom.

As always the staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The food is lovely and great variety . Have gone many many times since it opened on 2002 and some of the original staff are still there and that says a lot.

We had a great time here. The facilities were just right, the entertainment programme was excellent even in February, the food was absolutely excellent and the all-inclusive really was all-inclusive; the best we have ever experienced. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the entertainment team were fantastic. The hotel is a little isolated but that might be exactly what you're looking for, and there's a cheap daily bus which goes to the sandy beach and main shopping district twice a day.

The Bahia Principe Sunlight Hotel is a very good hotel to stay at, we’ve been here before many times, alway excellent service, the food and drinks are always good, the Hotel itself is a little out ,but there is a bus every day that will take you into the main area,if you want a taxi back it will cost you about £20.00

Service was good, apart from one day we weren’t given any towels and we understood that water was provided in the rooms but we had to ask for water after three days, staff seemed surprised that there was no water in the room so we would blame the service staff for not putting a fresh supply of water in daily , rooms decor needs freshened as does complete hotel interior compared to our last visit. Designated smoking areas are necessary but could be further from dining areas , unfortunately we had two days of bad weather and during this time smoking areas were being ignored. Around the pool area we encountered some drunken behaviour in the mid afternoon and swearing by groups of people, this was not our experience on our last visit bearing in mind it is a family orientated hotel. It was quite obvious that other people shared the same experience and were not happy with this behaviour. Overall we feel our experience with this hotel has declined.

We stayed at the Bahia principe for 3 nights (2 adults 4 children). The hotel was immaculately clean everywhere and the hotel room had an amazing sea view and spotless. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the entertainment during the day was some of the best I have ever had at a hotel. The restaurants were well organised and there was plenty of choice each day and nice selection to suit fussy kids! The service was exceptional and we loved it that much we have already booked to return next year

Fantastic stay again with rooms refurbished since our last stay in 2018. Plenty of friendly staff on hand to look after all your needs. Excellent restaurants on site and at sister hotel 2 minutes walk away. Fabulous pool scene and pool always a comfortable temperature also plenty of sun beds. We love the relaxing time available at this hotel and will definitely be there again

Had an amazing holiday, stayed a week and definitely ready to go back home as I’m fully relaxed. Amazing resort plenty to do, entertainment on a night and round the pool is great. The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard, our cleaner even folded our clothes and emptied ash trays. The shop next to the pool is good pool floats goggles etc good priced. Our first day there was a massive foam party where they filled the pool with bubbles and squirted everyone with water, it’s definitely perfect for children and even couples. We have booked to come back next year. The only down side was the buffet, I found I was bored with the food, I think they’re could be more option if I’m honest. HOWEVER this hasn’t put us off. The 3 carte meals were really good, definitely recommend the grill house and the Mexican which is located in the smaller resort. this resort is massive and there’s new things to discover everyday. The staff are amazing and very friendly, there’s a guy who does round the pool entertainment as well as on a night. He’s amazing and very funny, he gets everyone up and involved. The shops in the hotel village are really good, especially the English shop where the couple who own it were lovely and helpful from the first day. Any issue we went to them as they advised us really well. They told us not to use the on site pharmacy as it’s expensive and gave us directions to cheaper one. The free bus 12-4 is really good, short journey there and back.air con on the coach and you get 4 hours in las americas. I’d definitely recommend going to try Tenerife McDonald’s and go in the clear sea water. Can’t wait to return :))

Great place, by far the best hotel available in Tenerife. Two negatives, need to get back to pre Covid levels, advertising the tangible benefits but not delivering on them, themed restaurants, mini bar etc. 2) please buy some better quality room towels, getting delivered very thin bath towels doesn’t cut it, they’ve had there day.

We stayed at Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adele in early March 2022 for 4 nights. Smooth transfer from the airport (30 mins approx) We were met by very friendly reception staff, who were very helpful and informative. Our bags were taken to our room by the Bell Boy and we were invited to go straight to the buffet restaurant for lunch. Food was great for the whole duration of our stay. Breakfast omelette station is a must! We spent our days down by the infinity pool which was simply beautiful! Lunch at the pool bar was great everyday, with burgers and fries fresh to order and a great range of salad. We ate in the main buffet every night which was good, plenty of selection and all very tasty. The hotel entertainment wasn't really to our taste, singer on main terrace was usually good, if not a little loud. Dance show by the hotel staff was not great (that is the industry I work in, and a job I have done, so perhaps I am critical - get me out there for week to help advise... - the performers energy was fantastic, just lacking a little some choreography and direction!) But other than that all staff were fantastic and friendly. Room was very clean, slightly dated, but it really didn't matter. The hotel is slightly remote, we did walk to a pub near the Hard Rock hotel which took about 20 mins going down and up the 2 ravines, but otherwise there wasn't much to walk to outside of the hotel. This was not an issue for our 4 night stay, although might have been if we were there longer. A taxi to Costa Adele cost around 10 Euros (I can't remember how much) for some shopping, and a wander through the neon of the bars and restaurants! We would definitely return to this hotel. This hotel and all the staff go above and beyond to make your stay the best it possibly can be. Third time at this hotel and it just gets better and better from the cleanliness to the entertainment and especially the buffet restraunt and al a carte

The hotel is built into the side of a cliff so there are numerous levels. There is no one lift that you can get that can get you near the reception or lobby bar. If you have a mobility concern I would not advise coming here, similar for parents with babies in buggies it must be a nightmare. The lift in my block bizarrely has a notice on saying reserved for the staff between 0800 and 1600. You are given a bracelet to access the hotel facilities. It also opens the room door but unless you have a double jointed wrist it is very difficult to use. No one told me at reception that the card you use to control the room electric will also open the door! The hotel charges €7 per day to park, if you don't want to pay this you have to hike about half a mile up a hill to park above the sister hotel. If you want to eat in the a la carte restaurants I would say book them as soon as you arrive as they get booked up solidly.

A last minute 3 night break - great hotel, lovely food (and the white wine at dinner was great). Super sun trap by the infinity pool. There are a lot of stairs in the complex so may not be the easiest for people that have mobility issues. Good choice of alcohol and a great cocktail bar. Staff were all superb! Especially Xavier on reception
