Aparthotel Club del Sol & SPA

Advertised as a 4 star and is clearly not . An old hotel that has been given a once over. Lift to our room not working for the duration of our stay. Food was ok this is the second time we’ve stayed in a hotel jet2 rate as “4 star” when it’s clearly a 3*

Firstly I do feel for the hotel trade they have had a rough ride during the pandemic. But I'd have to say this hotel isn't currently at the level of its promoted star rating. On the positive side if you are a family without a car, all inclusive and have no intention of leaving the Hotel it is a good option because it is a quiet location and they are fairly strict at turning down the volume at around 10.30pm. Reception staff are always helpful. However this isn't a Hotel to self cater especially if you do not have a car to visit the cheaper supermarket. The Hotel is too far out of the port especially with young children, taxis are hard to come by the bus expensive. My advice invest in some of the facilities, like the toddlers pool, invest in a shuttle to take people to the port.

This hotel is clean and well maintained, including the gardens. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment leaves much to be desired, especially that the children's entertainment starts at 8.30 and adults at 9.30 which means that the majority of the children stay for both!! We gave up anyway because the adult entertainment was very childish and noisy!! The children's play area and splash pool are situated at the rear of the hotel so why is it necessary to play loud music for the children around the main pool? The hotel accommodation is very modern which means there are insufficient drawers for clothing and personal items, especially at the bedside. The beds were extremely comfortable and views from the balcony were beautiful. The food and service from the restaurant staff were excellent, especially outside at lunchtimes. There was a good variety of food in the evenings but more themed menus would have made a change. The breakfast choices were excellent. All-in-all a lovely holiday.

Celebrated Ruby Wedding with a week at the hotel with my wife two daughters , son in law and twin granddaughters 8 months old. Clean comfortable bedrooms excellent bathrooms - staff polite friendly and very accommodating. Food on buffet was high quality - excellent in the pool bar. We had unseasonal weather and spent more time indoors than expected but were not too disappointed as the public areas were consistently comfortably - gym and spa are facilities small but good - two of the party had sports massages which they considered to be good value.

We had a lovely holiday while staying at Club Del Sol, hotel and staff so friendly and happy to help with anything. Food was really nice loved the lunch/snack bar menu great choice to pick from, the buffett breakfast and evening meal could not fault plenty of choices and food cooked infront of you so you know it is fresh too. Entertainment was more than enough activities during the day if you want to get involved and the evening entertainment was great during our stay. Our child is only 1 so could not join in with the kids club but the entertainers always involved him on an evening and spoke with him during the day. There was always loads of sunbeds to choose from and plenty of space to move if wanting more shade or sun as the day goes along. The only downside is the pool was freezing and the splash park was like an ice bath so our child didn't really like it been so cold so wouldn't go in often but that's the only down side I can think of as everything else is what you would expect and more from a 4* hotel.
