Zafiro Palmanova

We travelled 23-30th May, 2 adults 2 children (10 & 7) and nothing to complain about at all. The hotel is spotless, all staff are extremely friendly and great with the kids, lovely food and something different everyday, activities and entertainment is brilliant, location is spot on. Couldn’t fault it at all and my boys had the best time! Looking to book again for next year!!

The hotel is lovely although when we pulled up outside I was a bit worried as the front could do with a bit of work. However inside is lovely and our room was plenty big and had everything we needed. I would recommend a room upgrade if booking as the standard rooms look out on the road. We went for a pool view room as no swim up rooms were available but if booking again I’d try for the rooms with the roof terraces as they looked fantastic. Pool area is great although the pool was freezing and the all inclusive is to an extremely high standard with something different every night. Probably one of the best all inclusive holidays I’ve been on in Europe. My only negative would be the rooms were given a quick tidy when the cleaning staff came round I wouldn’t say they were cleaned as our floor had marks on it for our whole stay. It certainly wasn’t a problem but just something I noticed. I would certainly book again.

Our hotel was ideal for our family. The food was excellent, swimming pools and facilities were excellent. Hotel also in a great location for local attractions such as Katamandu, Western Superparks and Marine Land.

Very attentive, pleasant and hard working staff that were a credit to this hotel. (Could have done with more on at times). The rooms were large with good general facilities. Loved the large balcony overlooking the pool. However, there were no drawers for storage and sliding doors on wardrobes were dangerous (several bumps,bangs and cuts). Also, no bath for young children (essential with a 5 month old). Lifts could just accommodate a double buggy and had to wait for quite long periods whilst lazy people utilitied them rather than using their legs! Childrens play area was very good and included a bouncing castle and trampoline. The pirate pool was cold and shallow and children seemed unnerved by the huge water bucket constantly tipping. The adult only pool was fabulous. Never did find the indoor pool, although the weather was fabulous so didn't need it anyway. The food in restaurant was very good and service well organised with a good choice of alcoholic drinks as well as hot and cold beverages. However, there was no outside snack bar where you could have a light lunch/snack while sunbathing/swimming. (I think this problem needs to be addressed urgently) . Entertainment was average, although children reps were enthusiastic if a little repetitive. Great location 5 minutes walk from nice beach/bars etc. Left to Palma Nova and right to Magaluf.

Our arrival was warmly greeted at reception. Because our royal terrace room was not ready we were given a free lunch voucher. A la carte food was very good quality but choices limited. Service very friendly and everyone spoken English. Having stayed in a Viva hotel in Alcudia last year I was disappointed with room size as was smaller than photos led to believe. However the royal terrace balcony was spacious and the hot tub a real bonus. The bathroom was ok with hairdryer. However there was no bath and the very large walk in shower was disappointing because it lacked any power. The mirrors needed replacing and the walls had been painted a horrible brown. The outdoor pool area was spacious with plenty of sunloungers and umbrellas. However the pool was so freezing cold I could not use it. It literally made my feet go numb when I put them in whilst sitting on the side. A real shame as I love to swim. Therefore we stuck to the indoor pool which was very warm. My only complaint about this though was the terrible steep steps down the corridor and the horrible smell. Once in the indoor pool area there were only a few loungers and it was stir long hot. This area needs some money spent on it. There are life guards dotted all over the outdoor and one in the indoor pool. The evening entertainment was totally geared for young children. Very noisy and music carried on til 10pm. The bar was popular and always had to queue for a drink as not enough people serving. Some nationalities do not know the meaning of who is next in line and just jump in with their order which is very annoying. Same goes for pool table and buffet dinner. The buffet was always packed, particularly when it first opens at 18:30. One night we went at 20:15 just before it closed and the waiters were far more interested in getting tables ready for breakfast than taking our drinks order. Also drinks are not included which was different from my previous Viva hotel. The buffet now costs €21 for adults. Half price fo children up to 12yrs. Choice was good but not a patch on previous Viva hotel. The hotel is located on the edge of Palma Nova and a few minutes walk to beach. Just across the road is a large set of steps down to shops, restaurants and the beach. I would imagine these steps would be difficult with a pram or if elderly. However the walk along the beach promenade is flat and pretty. We walked to Golf Fantasia which is a great mini golf. It took about 20mins from hotel. Shops are very touristy.

All in all a good holiday but probably due to the hot tub and big balcony. The swimming pools were too cold to enjoy. We were bed and breakfast - the breakfast was pretty good with the usual expected choice. Definitely a family hotel. This is only just in Palma Nova - a little too close to Magaluf for my liking.

As the title says felt like sardines in a can around the pool area not relaxing at all. Pool also was quite cold despite it being mid July possibly because it was so hemmed in the sun never got it. Staff were aloof and unwelcoming. Evening entertainment was poor and the area was cramped and crowded. It was difficult to get a drink and you were herded out off to bed by 10.30

booked the hotel after reading other reviews online regarding this hotel. Booked for myself and my wife for my birthday and booked a royal terrace apartment which was a great choice. the apartment was spotless and the cleaning service was first class. the apartment consisted of main room with fridge , cooker etc . Flat screen tv and sofa bed if required as well as table and chairs to eat at if needed. Bedroom was very roomy with large double fitted wardrobe , king size bed and French doors to balcony . living room also had French doors onto same balcony. bathroom was huge with double sinks and huge walk in shower. Stairs in main room leading up to private terrace with hot tub , seating , Balinese bed and first class view of huge pool area which was well used and spotless. great menu choice at buffet breakfast ,lunch and dinner and great range of drinks available on the all inclusive we booked. Would not hesitate to book the same package again with this hotel and would recommend it to friends and family.

Second stay at the viva palmanova hotel and hope to be back many times. Very family friendly hotel and very clean with good outdoor pool areas which are safe. My stay was self catering, although I did eat in the restaurant which was of a good standard.

Anyone would love this hotel couples families young or more matue lovely rooms and great pools with no pressure to join in all day entertainment and terrific staff self catering to all inclusive it's you're choice and easy walking to beach pubs etc

We had a fabulous 2 weeks in viva Palmanova. Previously we have been to holiday village with first choice but this hotel is much better and the all inclusive package is excellent. All staff but in particular waiters & entertainment team were so friendly. We would absolutely return. The only 1 improvement would be to extend the evening entertainment until 11/11.30pm. The music stops at 10.30pm and outside area is tided away. Drinks are still served until 12pm but it's dead and even the balcony lights go out. Just leave the music on a little longer.

Viva Palmanova is a very small, safe, clean and tidy place to stay. Entertainment is poor and could do with updating. We stayed last year and loved it. Although this year, the lilo beds were ripped and torn, desperately need replacing, also you had to be up for 8 every morning to get a decent spot. Food was excellent and very clean. The cleaners do a wonderful job and work very hard. I would recommend the Hotel to families. I would like to say the pool was cold this year and could do with warming up a little, my sons lips went blue !! when he got in. The waiters could do with being a little more friendly, except for Hose-Maria and Tete who are just wonderful!! the pool tables and games machines need changing for new ones and get new bed chairs please. Great spot just 10 minutes walk from the beach. Oh and the childrens are was a bit grubby. Trampoline needs replacing it was also ripped. Small things that dont cost much, but make such a big difference to your stay. We paid £4300 all inclusive for 10 nights. Dont expect to find things ripped.
