Sol Palmanova

We arrived here 1 week ago having read reviews, mostly of which were excellent. Although we know it is a family hotel and we've not travelled with a child, the hotel is over run with feral children who's parents just leave them all day while they make use of the all Inclusive bar. The drinks are very poor here and the bar staff can be very rude. We have eaten out most nights as the "snack bar" is absolutely rancid and so is the "restaurant ". The 2 lifts for a 9 floor hotel are so slow, we sometimes waited nearly 15min for a lift as we were on the 9th floor. If you want a sunbed you need to be up at 1am to guarantee a sunbed close to the pool. There is way to many sunbeds just put anywhere anyone wants to for how small the pool areas are. If you want cold, tasteless and repetitive food with loud feral children running everywhere then this is the hotel for you.

Excellent location. Food average and very repetitive.Entertainment team amazing.My main moans are nowhere near enough space to accomodate guests in the evening absolutely tons of guests had to stand or had no tables. Sol Melia really need to look at this issue for next season.Also Sol Melia should do like other hotels once a sunbed hasnt been occupied within 2 hours security or life guard should remove towels to a safe place. All in all a good holiday best aspects tho the location and entertainment team.

Hotel looks lovely, very clean and well decorated, room was a good size for 3 of us, shower was great, bed was rock solid, didn't get a good sleep. The food wasnt to our liking at all, we had to rebudget and eat out most days. Cooked breakfast was awful, scrambled eggs were slop, omlette was rubber, bacon was like a dog chew. We only had lunch twice (salad) and this was due to not seeing anything we liked the look of. Dinner was most of the same with the odd meat swap, again we mostly ate salad or pasta as didn't like the look of anything else. Snack bar is outside therefore chips/pizza/hotdog/burgers were cold, and chicken nuggets could break teeth. On arrival our room wasn't ready, very bad planning, we had to wait 4 hours to get the room key! Best thing about this hotel was the entertainment staff, they work so hard for very long hours and yet are always happy and friendly and full of energy

Room small but adequate, very clean hotel overall, rooms cleaned daily. the kids entertainment is excellent superb led by great team, food plentiful but maybe a little repetative, Was my grand daughters 6th birthday during our stay and the management sent her a note with 3 bowls of sweets to her room (a lovely touch !!).Overall a superb hotel for families, close to the beach and shops would recommend and would return.

Our first holiday in Majorca and loved the island and Palma Nova itself was fantastic..Wish I could say the same about the hotel though The food was below average ,I'm not a fussy eater at all but some nights my meal consisted of cheese and biscuits..We ate out every evening from the 4th day ..Breakfast was ok (just ok).The hotel has about 26million rooms and just 2 lifts which you can get about 4 people in comfortably so when your on the 9th floor you've not really got an option but to catch them ..The queues for the lifts were ridiculous at certain times ..The pool area was a no go unless you were prepared to be up early and prepared to make a complete idiot of yourself vying to get the best spot with your 6 towels ..It's a lot easier to go to the beach ..Plenty of sunbeds but no room to put them ..The barstaff also need a course in how to smile and be polite ..I'll definitely be going back to Palma Nova but definitely not to the Sol ..Sorry

If they had a self catering, this would've been a nice place to stay. The all-inclusive option was a bad decision. My wife and child barely ate anything in the restaurant. For most people it would be acceptable bog standard stuff but definitely not for fussy eaters and definitely not 4 star! I thought the range was ok and the dessert choice was fantastic. For us, we ended up spending a lot of extra money eating elsewhere for lunch and dinner . My biggest quibble was no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and the bars were only open between 8am and 11pm so no cuppas outside of these times. Fridge in the room was a bonus though. Cleaning of rooms second to none.

This is a family orientated hotel. Great location but entertainment poor. Only outside bar open in Sol Palmanova II and very long queue's in the afternoon and evening's and they would not open inside bar. Food was good with an excellent selection
