Leonardo Royal Hotel Calvia & Suites

We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is well positioned for the beach, bars, restaurants of Palma nova, and also just a short stroll into Magaluf. The rooms are smaller than usual but the sea view from our balcony was the best I've ever seen. The hotel layout can be a little confusing initially with floor zero quickly merging on the flat into floor six. The first room we were allocated was very badly positioned on the ground floor (but called the 6th floor)looking out to a road, pathway and a wall. However, the reception staff dealt with our obvious dissapointment really well and relocated us quickly. The WiFi throughout the hotel, including the rooms was excellent and free. We stayed half board plus, this allowed a selection of drinks with our meals, it's worth adding the plus option if only for glasses of wine.

This hotel is in a fantastic location right next to the beach and with good pool facilities. Unfortunately the rooms are small and the beds are tiny and firm. If you pay extra for a sea view be careful they don’t put you directly under the bar as they did us. At 7:30am and 11:30pm they move drag all the chairs into place which last roughly 30 minutes and it’s incredibly loud in your room. There are signs ti say you cannot reserve sun loungers and the area is closed until 9am yet if you’re not down there queuing at 8:30 at the latest you will not get a bed. They open the area at a different time between 8:30 & 9am everyday and the amount of people waiting to punch is beyond a joke. The food is acceptable for the most part but the selection is limited compared to other hotels and the meat quality is poor. Very fatty and some of the chicken and pork was pink. Also be careful if you’re a family as the hotel is smack in between Palma and Magaluf so you’re surrounded by stag and hen dos who tend to get very rowdy. The restaurants are all very nice but you must book a table in advance or you won’t get in which is very annoying when you don’t always know what you want 24 hours in advance. Again an average hotel that looks nice in a great location but just too many downsides for us to enjoy ourselves.

Return to this hotel at least twice a year Lovely location , food , staff . Spotless a really nice atmosphere we where lucky enough to be chosen as wow guests , a new thing they are doing for Chosen guests . We had a reserved table in restaurant , and special attention lovely fruit basket Bottles of prosecco. Felt like vip's . They pick wow guests at random , we where the first Back again in July for 10 days with the rest of family and friends can't wait

The Hotel is in an excellent location , with friendly staff. The room was okay but could probably do with a revamp. The laminate floor int the room was bubbling at the joints probably due to mopping, and the skirtings were coming away from the wall . This however did not spoil anything for us . The bathroom was very good with constant hot water from the excellent shower. The food was not to our liking, it was mostly bland and tasteless in my opinion and it was more like a works canteen than a restaurant, probably due to the hotel being full. The pool area did not have enough sunbeds for the amount of guests and if you didn’t get up early and queue you didn’t get one. There were plenty of good places to eat close though and we ate most evenings.

The position of the hotel is fantastic, it is for family's with children . The food is OK with a good choice if only they would provide some cream with the sweet, the waiters never smile and are only interested in clearing your table they act like programmed robots. The lift system will keep your brain very active. There are notices not to reserve sun beds why do they bother to put these up as people are waiting 30 minutes before the pool opens to reserve them then with towels in place disappear for 2-3 hours the hotel should enforce this rule but doesn't. Don't buy the extra drinks package waste of money a con we paid the extra but just found it was a self service drinks anyway what a rip off. The restaurant by 1930 is very busy and noisy. We were disgusted at the food waste people piling their plates up only eating a small amount then sending it back shame on you! A pity also they don't supply bottled water daily. However the hotel has a great position just let down by small niggles

Great hotel with views to die for!! The hotel staff were so friendly and the entertainment team especially Antonio and Lidia worked very hard day and night to provide activities and the Mini Club. We were all sad to have to come home.
