Turgutreis
The second-biggest town on the Bodrum peninsula, Turgutreis has a reputation for its fabulous, glitzy shopping streets and wowing sunsets, not to mention its unblemished golden-sand beaches. Castles and churches offer an historic element to the resort, while the aromas and tantalising tastes of Turkey sit around every corner.
Turgutreis offers up a great choice of beaches, and the area has over 5km of cool coastline. Head over to the main stretch in the centre of town, which has shallow, child-friendly waters to paddle in. But you can also find quieter coves that offer views of nearby Kos.
A handy base
All the dolmuş buses pass through here, which means you’re really well placed to explore the area. It’s easy to get to Bodrum, where you’ve got chic boutique hotels and clubs. Or if you fancy escaping the crowds, head to Akyarlar’s secluded bay. Take your pick and enjoy relaxing.

The beautiful marina sets a wonderful backdrop to this bar, which opens out at the back to maximise its waterfront view. The wooden-floored bar turns into an al fresco terrace where you can enjoy the cool...
This region takes its name from a man named Turgut Reis, a local hero and an Ottoman admiral who engaged in a number of battles around the Mediterranean. You can learn more about him at the park and be taught...
This Saturday market boasts as many quality fabric stalls as in Bodrum and is almost as popular. Here, you’ll find carpet sellers, cheese stalls, and olive oils as well as brightly painted pots and brass...
The hotel is in a lovely position for scenic beauty, fantastic sunsets, if you want to go into Turgutreis it is a shuttle or taxi which is quite low prices. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are very nice, we had a few issues with our room when we first got there but they were quickly on it and got them sorted, most of the rooms have a wonderful sea view. We were lucky to be upgraded after a few days to a villa which was lovely with an even more spectacular view and shared pool. The main restaurant has plenty of delicious food but it was not always that hot which was a little disappointing, we chose to sit in the non smoking half of the outside eating area and had a lovely waiter called Yigtthan who looked after us very well. We also used the A la carte restaurants which were hit and miss Turkish and Oriental lovely food, Italian not so much. My only criticism would be the layout, staffing levels and atmosphere of the bars, the lounge bar which was the most frequented had one main barman most of the time, he was run off his feet with long queues forming there also only appeared to be one waiter who was also ordering drinks. Other than the sports bar there were only two other bars which were by the pool using plastic seats fine for the daytime but not very comfortable for evening use. There was also a wine bar inside but it was always empty, we used it once and were the only ones in there.

Kefaluka Resort Family Stay in April
15 Jun 2022
It was quite cold and very windy at the end of April in Bodrum area. The hotel was good, have a lot of entertainment for kids. Most of the staff were very kind and helpful, especially Burak.
Unfortunately some of the staff do not speak English, which was very uncomfortable. Hotel has different various of world kitchen, however all of my family were sick. I rate my stay as moderately successful.

i loved the grounds of the hotel and the views were amazing the hammocks were a lovely touch and really peaceful 1st thing in morning. the entertainment team work very hard day and night and were always friendly.
The waiter metin in the main restaurant was fantastic always trying to find table and remembering our drinks orders even though there were 10 of us!! The bar staff were hit and miss some seems like they really couldnt be bothered the man of the pier being one.
We were there over the turkish festival and the hotel was really busy the lifts were a nightmare it took so long to get anywhere it became fustrating.
The food in the main restaurant was fine we only managed to get into 1 al la carte the mexican which was ok.
The rooms were the biggest disappointment they were small and dated there was not enough storage no drawer space and we found ourselves living out of cases the air conditioning was not powerful enough and the room never felt cool. the balcony on the standard rooms are tiny such a shame when the view is so good we like alot of other people used it as a suitcase storage as no room inside. We have travelled to turkey 7 times mostly int he lara beach area and there is a definite difference on the standard of hotel but funny enough not on the price!!
The pool area was nice and the pontoon in the sea really good for swimming and snorkelling.
The thing i most most annoyed about was the "hiding" of the branded spirits they were kept out of site under the bar in a cupboard i really think this is wrong as i said this hotel was not any cheaper than those i have visited in lara where all drinks that you have paid for in your all inclusive price are displayed, unless you know they are there you will not be offered them totally wrong after all we have all paid for them!!
In summary i did enjoy our holiday but i would not return or recommend i think a lot of refurbishing and modernisation needs to take place to hold onto that 5*

Best hotel we've been to.

Just, amazing for a family holiday.. entertainment, food facilities were all excellent. The pool area was huge..although we did have to hunt for beds and umbrellas most days as we didn't get up early and reserve sun loungers and umbrellas like most other people seem to do. There was a lovely pool man who went out if his way to help and always came and helped us..

What a wonderful hotel, perfect sunsets every night from the lobby bar, with winderful views over the bay accross to Kos.Food & drink could be of a better standard, but I am very fussy, but didnt like the fact that flys could crawl over the food on display.

What and incredible place!
17 Oct 2018
What an azming place. We were transferred here after some worries at the previous hotel about how our children were being treated. We were welcomed in here and shown to our stunning room which overlooked the sea and the resort. It was beautiful! The staff were friendly and there was lots to do. The pools were clean and well kept and we loved the water slides! Food was 10/10 and they even had a secion for babies, with baby food, a bottle warmer and a blender to puree the food. What a great touch! We loved this hotel and hope to return next year!

Our stay at Kefaluka Resort
17 Jun 2017
Well having stayed here twice before which is something we never do they must be doing something right,.
The hotel is impressive to say the least with fantastic sea views ( be sure to book a sea view worth every pound) we chose the double deluxe this time and it was excellent, lots of space and wonderful views.
Hotel has great pools and a fun pool bar , but very sadly the loss of ,Savas the barman was greatly missed!!!
But overal the staff are very friendly and polite.
Food is even better this year with oysters being served on one of the nights.
Drinks are excellent and a great plus is no silly arm bands as everyone there is 5 star .
Would we go back ? No just because we have been more than once.
But if you are looking for quality, service , and a wonderful view this is a real contender ...

Best holiday ever!
20 Jul 2016
We spent 2 weeks at Kefaluka. Our experience was 5* from the second we arrived till we were waved away by Ismail and Sezer of Team Kefaluka! We checked in at midnight to clean, spacious and cool rooms on the top floor - greeted by a bottle of wine and a fruit bowl. The overnight buffet was fresh and tasty. In fact all food throughout our stay was excellent quality and choice, and even with 6 of us we were always able to find a table in the restaurant. The standard of the drinks (both branded and local) was fantastic, as was the service at any of the bars. The entertainment team were friendly without being over familiar, and available to amuse and help at all times. Special mentions must go to Savas at the poolside cocktail bar, with his welcome and expertise, and to Ismail who heads up the animation team - who was particularly helpful when one of our boys had an injury. The kids (and therefore us) felt very comfortable with the whole team (Sezer, Eray, Tayfun and the rest!). Thank you we will be back next year!!!!!!

Couldn't fault this hotel
06 Jul 2016
Fab hotel, beautiful views, lovely food and great booze, soft drinks and snacks. The staff were excellent and even got me partaking in activities I don't normally consider (water polo, archery, water volley ball etc...) Plenty of shaded areas to relax in around the clean and pleasantly warm pools. I will definitely return.

Superb

Went on my own after my wife's recent death. The Animation Team were a tremendous support in many ways and went out of they way to make my holiday happy. Spotlessly clean, comfortable hotel, varied choice of good food and spectacular views from my room across the bay. Good daytime and evening entertainment. This was my tenth visit to the area, but first to this hotel and will definitely return next year.
The local mosque woke me up at 04.55 on my first night but I was soon able to sleep through the call to prayer.

Lovely location

The staff are the best feature and a credit to this hotel, very hard working and cheerful. The hotel is in a lovely location. The hotel itself is adequate but a bit tired in places, and definitely not 5 star by Western Europe standards. The grounds are lovely, and well maintained. The views and sunsets beautiful. We met lots of repeat visitors which speaks volumes.
