The quality of this hotel in all aspects was 5 star all the way. It's situated a pleasant 30 minutes walk from Side, along the seafront. The pool area and pool bar were very well laid out. The room was very comfortable and both housekeeping and mini bar service were on the mark. There were 2 things that made it an exceptional week. 1. The food was so amazing, we felt no need to book an a la carte meal. And the standard was high at every meal, all week. 2. The staff were absolutely delightful and professional. They really made the holiday. We will definitely be booking again and highly recommend it.

We arrived very late at night and were very disappointed with the location of our room. We asked to be moved and next day we were given a much better room. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Food in the main restaurant ( buffet) was very good and also in the other a La Carte dining places. There is an excellent pool and the private beach had plenty of sun beds which were well spaced. Service all over the hotel was very good and friendly. The hotel is all inclusive. We did tip the staff and it was appreciated. We weren’t impressed with Side ( apart from the old town) so we tended to spend most of our time around the hotel. I’m pretty sure we will go back again.👍👍👍

My wife and I stayed here for a week in May 2024. As soon as we returned, I emailed the manager asking him to express our thanks to all his staff, which is not something I often do. Everybody was kind, considerate, helpful and professional. The hotel itself, together with its rooms, facilities, gardens, spa, pool and restaurants are impeccable. Beautifully styled and spotlessly clean without exception. The main self-service restaurant serves a mind-boggling variety of very high quality international dishes, including vegetarian and vegan. Themed evenings take place most evenings with the accent on a particular region or type; Asian, Italian, seafood etc etc. The chefs and waiters are only too happy to explain the various dishes, if required. There are several smaller, more intimate restaurants, which provide table service. We went to the Italian twice, which was excellent, but we preferred the variety available in the main restaurant. There are several bars providing a vast array of wines, beers, cocktails and spirits and which range from chill-out beach-bar to elegant cocktail bar. The beach is beautiful with fine sand and easy access to the sea. Loungers, parasols and towels are provided and are kept in excellent condition. The evening entertainment is very professionally produced and presented. There are plenty of quieter places to go in the grounds or in the area if this isn't your cup of tea. A couple of things worth mentioning: There is a large number of cats which roam the grounds and make themselves comfortable on the loungers and sofas. They are all very friendly and are well looked after. The hotel provides information on their welfare. If you love cats, you're in for a treat! If you're not fond of cats, simply ignore them and they will move away. However, if you have a serious allergy or phobia to cats, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for you. The only other 'negative' thing to mention is that guests are requested to put toilet paper in bins rather than down the toilet. Coming from the UK, and it being such a high quality (five star) hotel, this came as a slight shock to us. I assume it's related to the local sewerage treatment situation but I don't know for sure. Nevertheless, once over the initial surprise, we didn't find this to be a problem, at all. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and very much look forward to returning, in future.

There is nothing we didn't like about this hotel. Rooms were beautiful with ours overlooking the pool and out to sea. The staff were so friendly and helpful. And then there was the food which was top notch. Loved it and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Apart from being excellent value for money, the Acanthus & Cenet hotel in Side ticked every box. Although All Inclusive Plus, it still exceeded all our expectations (we were a group of mature, well-travelled adults). Most drinks were premium brands, there was free access to all the hotel restaurants (all the food was excellent) and the friendly staff were walking around all outdoor areas, including the private beach, taking orders for drinks. The standard of cleanliness was high and the location of the hotel perfect for visiting the ruins and main shops and restaurants. 5* also goes to Jet2. They went over and above at all levels.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. Little touches like the beach bag, wash scrunchie, and the delightful coffee shop make this hotel one of my favourite hotels and holidays of all time. The mis en plage for breakfast was my favourite part of every day. We will definitely be back. We travelled as a family with jet 2. I cannot recommend this hotel and jet 2 enough. 10 stars all around from us

Everything about our holiday was perfect. The hotel, rooms, grounds and staff are all fabulous! We visited the Asian restaurant Safran twice. The manager Kamal and his team are the very best at delivering excellent food and service. Habib on the beach is attentive and goes above and beyond to make your holiday perfect. We are sure we made a friend for life there! Great service from the team in the 24 hour bar. The food in the evening at the beach bar was exceptional too. Great experience all round. The management should be very proud of their teams! Loved the walk to Side talking to interesting local people and being made to feel very welcome. Great shopping and sights made it perfect. We will be coming back x

We have just returned form our 7 night holiday to Barut Acanthus and Cennet hotel in Side Turkey. The hotel really needs to be a 7 star hotel!!! The food is out of this world and caters for everyone. It has a vegan selection which is superb and they have food for everyone not to mention it tastes outstanding. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are genuinely helpful and friendly wherever you are in the hotel. The maid service is great and the location of the hotel is super for walks in the evening along the promenade, also access to the ruins at side. We paid extra for a swim up room and was extremely pleased we did. It was great to be on the ground floor and lovely to enjoy the afternoon sun on your own balcony with a pool which you could use at any time. The beverages are fabulous, there was no restriction on branded spirits and the service is excellent. The swimming pool is huge and it has a feel of being in the Caribbean with all of the palm trees. Only fault was getting sunbeds on beach and round pool. Outstanding hotel. Have been twice this year and want to go back.

From the moment you arrive at this hotel you really do feel like you are on holiday, the reception were very quick at checking us in, the staff were excellent at showing us to the room and everything in the room, I booked a swim up room well worth the money, the the morning in the sun was on the front swim up rooms but in the afternoon it moved to the side rooms. The staff in all the restaurants were great anything you needed they got for you, I am gluten and lactose intolerant, there was plenty of food for me to eat in all the restaurants. The beach was beautiful very clean and lots of space between bed, beds very comfy, the best member of staff was Hibip were was the beach bar man very good english, always there with a drink for you, very good memory of what you liked as well, such a happy guy always had a smile on his face. The spa was great had a few treatments while there well worth the money. The gym was good also all the classes were good. Walked into Side along the promenade well worth a visit to see the ruins. If I was going back to Side I wouldn't book any other hotel but this one as it was perfect in every way, a perfect holiday.

They advertise swim up rooms on the hotel web site and jet2 web site with sea views so you think on arrival you have booked one of these rooms but it is impossible to book one as they are classed as up grade rooms and can only be booked on arrival at the hotel at the cost of 50 euros a night so my al ready £3300 holiday would cost an extra £500 staff are very friendly and polite rooms are very clean only had one staff member to complain about her name was ( GOL) when we complained about the false advertising on the swim up rooms she just ignored me and my wife and said we would have to pay the extra 50 euros a night and this is after my friends had been up graded for nothing two days before we arrived then my friends offered to pay for the upgrade for us she refused to take the money so I’ve had a very memorable 30th wedding anniversary thanks to her

Was tempted to give a bad review to put people off and ensure it doesn’t become too popular because this hotel is a gem.Once you’ve stayed here it is going to be difficult to stay anywhere else.The whole complex is spotless,the landscaping immaculate,the rooms are bright,airy,comfy with everything you need.The food for an all inclusive is simply superb as is choice of drinks.The pool and beach area are excellent with the only gripe being selfishness of other guests multi booking beach beds.The entertainment was mixed but when your sitting under the stars being served drinks who cares? Finally the thing that makes this hotel are the staff who were as good as you get.They were friendly,efficient,attentive you never had to wait for drinks or food always plenty staff to hand.Dont like to mention staff names because they were all superb but have to mention one of entertainment staff,Oktay who was always happy to stop and chat little things like this help to make a holiday.

Cannot recommend this hotel ènough. From location, staff, food and drinks this hotel is top class. Unfortunately my mum fell ill whilst there and the hotel was exceptional calling the paramedics, translating, arranging taxis back and forth to the hospital. My dad also celebrated his 70th while staying and they arranged a cake and decorated the table. The 4 of us have all said we would love to return and redo the holiday again .
