Eftalia Village

Right from the start this hotel caused us concern, we arrived at 2am and when asked the reception at check in for a drink we were directed outside towards a local shop being told "you may find something open" Excuse me ?? We had booked an all inclusive holiday and didn't think a drink of water was out of the question. We were told after I queried this that there was water in our fridge, indeed there was three 150ml bottles of warm water in our room !! We had been traveling since 11am the day before and not even an offer of a drink or something to eat, I mean i didn't think this would be too much trouble, it is a hotel right ?? What a start. When we got into our room, which i had booked with the special request of a chair bed (as stated on Jet 2's website) We were met with one dbl bed and one single, my two teenage daughters ad to share a bed the first night. I asked the reception the following day about the other bed to be told we don't do that anymore, but we can upgrade you, yes for 140 Euros !! Shocking, what choice did we have. On the Friday my daughter was feeling unwell, we were directed to the medical room on site, the doctor there said my daughter may have Ecoli !! I mean what ??? Are you kidding !! After being bundled into an ambulance and being examined in a hospital that was only interested bin my travel insurance details we were told that she had to stay in have blood tests and an IV antibiotic. After queering what was wrong I was told she had a throat infection. I asked why we couldn't get a prescription for amoxicillin to be told "oh yes you can have that". 250 Euros we were out of that hospital ! What a joke of a place, Eftalia village is a joke only interested in making money off people, food is poor, dining room wasn't even airconditioned, sweltering, rooms were tired and in desperate need of being updated/freshened up. This whole experience has put us off going back to Turkey, and in Jet 2's handling of the whole thing.

Everything you could want from a holiday, water park on site and plenty of water as there were fridges scattered around the complex, plenty to keep occupied with the 💦 park, on-site had to pay for cocktails.

overall we had a great family holiday met some lovely staff both in the restaurant and bars who went above and beyond to meet our needs. Some of the bar staff were rude as we had seen on other reviews (slamming drinks on the bar) but easily made up for by those who were friendly enough to even use google translate to speak to us and would bring our little girl flowers at the dinner table. We had a bit of a rocky reception having experienced around a 3 hour delay and arrived in reception at 2am to still be waiting until 3 to be allocated a room, this is due to them trying to upgrade people and I think there was some priority given to certain nationalities but once in the room all was as expected and overall a well priced holiday with plenty of things for the whole family to do during the day. The negatives I would add are the lack of all inclusive drinks and availability at certain bars and we would have liked to have seen more night entertainment in the complex as opposed to down on the beach which wasn’t a huge walk but with a 3 year old would have been easier if the entertainment had more to offer closer. The kids entertainment was also very basic and tucked away up in the corner with no seating although lasted about 4 songs so probably not needed!

The hotel has a nice layout. The rooms are adequate but the beds are very hard, I did asked for a mattress topper or blanket but this wasn't done. Lovely big bathroom with a double shower. All rooms have a balcony, however ours was over looking a dirt track that filled with sheep and goats every evening. There are two lovely size pools, one has great slides for children, the other is more for adults as its deeper. There is free access to the Island which has a great selection of pools so suit everyone, slides, music, quite and baby pool. The food is slightly poor and there is absolutely NO concept to all inclusive. In the hotel one pool only serves beer only all day, and unfortunate they didn't tell us that we could have had other all inclusive drinks at the other pool bar! We found this out off other guests. The drinks are extremely watered down, and you have to pay for cocktails..... and even when paying for the cocktails you couldn't taste the alcohol.. we were buying cocktails and adding their free vodka.. Be aware that you can not get spirits on the Island during the day, only watered down beer. The al la carte restaurants are not included in the all inclusive and were an additional 15Euor per person per night. All entertainment is on the Island, the entertainment was ok but did let is down slightly.. there was a lot of karaoke. Staff were friendly and happy to help. There isn't much in the local area.

It was an average resort. To far away from airport. We used the hotel spa on the first day and it was good, however they tried to scam people out of more visits offering people offers which were not offers at all and cost more than what they advertised the treatment for. Food was ok but as usual repetitive. Lots of trouble with the Germans and English, not English orientated at all, not even an English TV channel. Only take currency of Euro as everything is in Euro. I will be back in Turkey but not this resort.

Was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the apartment, was kept and cleaned to a high standard, was very light and Nicely furnished with a double bed and a single, and had its own refrigerator in the room which was hand for juice and water

Spent 2 weeks in this hotel . Won't be returning . Meal times are a nightmare . Queues way before restaurant even opens. Then it's like a stampede . Meals are repeative and Brussels for breakfast are a no no . Pool areas good but very slippy and the Russians are up at 5 with there towels so sunbed wars most days . Our Air con broke on day 10 and was still not repaired by day 14 . Not worth the money paid to stop here.

I have never ever left a review on any hotel before however I really feel I need to leave a review for this. Rooms Spacious rooms very clean a/c shower lovely 1 day out the 12 it never got cleaned but hey ho! Pools Lovely big pools they is one just a pool where we stayed most the time as the slide pool was just far to busy and hectic my kids didn't even want to go to the slide pool Food If your British and like chips you will be fine 😫 12 days I lived on chips and jacket potato I never complain about food abroad cos I know it's rubbish but this was taking the shmicheal try and fill up on the snack bars BBQ down the island free icecream jacket potatoes lovely although I will not be eating jacket potatoes for a while!! I dreaded 7pm food time it was awful I lived on bread and butter for my evening meal 😑 So did my 5 yr old son Illness My 5 year old son cought a bug I thought it must of been out the pool cos he ate everything we had but who knows servier sickness and dioreah he is prone to fits with high temp so was a nightmare and very scary think I ended up spending 40 pounds in the chemist. Lasted 4 days then passed it on to all of us in the room dear god I just wanted to go home! Entertainment They is non at the village AT ALL have to go down the island which caters for 4 other hotels looking at around 1000 people we went down once to the led show walked in and walked out was to packed with small children that's the only time we went other guests said the went to watch shows couldn't get a seat when they did get a seat it got pinched when they went to the bar I wouldn't take small children here it deffo not for them. Older children yea was ok my 10 and 11 year old still had fun but they did whinge a lot they wer bored ended up playing cards on a night round the pool bar. They do have a stage and loads of space at the pool bar they should put a little disco for the children their on a night would be so much better. Staff Staff are lovely very helpful haven't got anything bad to say about them Market on a Sunday just right outside the hotel massive It's really good Over all I would not come back to this hotel I love turkey but would not stay here it's more of a complex with nothing around few bazar shopping centres over road but not a great deal of restaurants or night entertainment in pubs. Quite sad I have to leave a review like this. I payed a great deal to come here n I've payed half price to stay elsewhere n beats this.
