Lovely hotel and reception and pool areas are great especially for kids.. not sure if it was just bad luck with our room but it was filthy.. nice and spacious for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teens) on first floor near to reception .. clumps of hair in rooms.. mould in bathrooms.. kitchen was awful had to report ants on 2 occasions to reception.. we didn’t use it as couldn’t have eaten from it.. rooms need an upgrade to match reception and keep on top of cleaning.. staff lovely couldn’t have done enough for us.. would stay again if refurb rooms.

Some good some not so good

The hotel reception was very clean, modern and staff were friendly. We were told check in was at 2pm we were 30 minutes early so asked if we would come back which we did, we were told there would be a short delay and come again in 10 minutes which again I did to be told it would be another 15 minutes. I pointed out that this is what was said last time and they were able to give me the key straight away.
Room was very clean and had all the i utensils we needed, only issue we had was with the AC it wasn’t on and the room was hot. We travelled early may and temperatures got up as high as 23 during the day, when we asked about AC we were told the owners made the decision not to switch it on as it wasn’t warm enough which may have been true for the locals but not for an Irish family. There wasn’t even a fan to be had so it made for a few uncomfortable nights.
The animation team were great with kids and you could see they worked hard to involve all the children and make sure they had a great time. The pools were great, very cold given the time of year but when you got your shoulders under it was lovely. Couple of slides nothing too exciting and 1 slide in particular has so little water flowing down it you have to drag yourself down it. There is an indoor pool that you must wear swim caps for and an adult only roof top jacquzzi which is an ideal sun bathing spot. There was an indoor play area and an outside park I though both were excellent and well equipped with plenty to entertain the kids my only issue was the out door parks opening hours it sometimes wasn’t open until 11am now I don’t know about other kids but ours was on the go from 7 and was itching to get into that park from 9 so revising the opening times would be good considering it doesn’t require staff supervision.
The area itself is too far from resort centre to walk with children, we were told there was a coastal walk which was beautiful but with prams and the like it was an ordeal haha we took the bus in and out of town with a T10 card, the girl is the bus plana shop across the road was excellent wrote down the bus numbers and stops we should use to get back from town.
We were self catering so mostly ate at the restaurants up the hill from h10 a favourite being Route 66. We ate 1 breakfast and 1 dinner at the hotel and found both to be cold compared to what we would usually have. There was plenty of selection and what we did eat was nice and it seemed like quality.

Amazing hotel!
02 Jul 2019
This is my second time at the H10 Mediterranean village and it did not disappoint! The hotel facilities are brilliant two large pools and roof top terrace with hot tubs for over 18s, plenty of sun beds so no ridiculous cues or fights over loungers. The staff really do make the hotel, the animation team are fantastic with kids and the entertainment they provided was great! Amazing hotel can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic Hotel
03 Oct 2017
We had a great holiday! 2nd time at this hotel and absolutely loved it! Entertainment was great! And I took part in water aerobics, Pilates, body balance and aerobics. My husband and son also played pool and we used the sauna and steam room and went up to the roof.

Fabulous holiday!
14 Jul 2017
This was our 4th time staying at this hotel. Absolutely love it, as single mum with a child with autism and special needs, it offers everything we need. My son loves the indoor swimming pool and I can relax in the jacuzzi. We stayed half board, the food was excellent and plenty of choice and variety. There is a shop on site for days my son didn't want to leave the hotel. Entertainment at night was great too. Outside pools were the only downside as they were absolutely freezing. Felt at ease to let my son have a bit of freedom as its a safe environment. Not much in Cap Salou but bus stop just outside takes you everywhere you need to go. Bus card fantastic value! Last year we made great friends with another mum and daughter, which continued when we got home and we returned there with them this year. Staff were lovely and friendly!

Return visit.

Second time staying in this hotel and we were not disappointed it was just as good as the first time. Good selection of food and the staff always friendly and helpful. Pools had plenty of loungers and the rooftop jacuzzis were always quiet and children free. Also has an indoor pool and gym. Swimming cap required by females using the indoor pool and are on sale in the reception. Bus stop close to the hotel has busses to take you all over the surrounding area and beeches.

Family holiday with our 7year old
30 Oct 2016
Fantastic, family hotel that exceeded our expectations. We travel a lot (in the past without kids and now with our daughter), so were pleasantly surprised to find such an efficient, well maintained and friendly hotel in a tourist resort like Cap Salou. The kids club and all the animation team were awesome! Our daughter didn't actually want to leave the club, even to go to Port Aventura in the evening. They kept the small ones very well entertained. We loved the emphasis on "family"at the hotel (if you don't like having fun and laughing with your children at silly songs this isn't the place for you), but due to the grounds and separate areas you are able to have some quiet time. The indoor pool was nearly always quiet and child free, as was the roof terrace. The outdoor, terrace restaurant was also a nice place to have tapas and a calm place to eat. The main buffet restaurant is great and it was nice to see so much good, local cuisine, not a burger in sight! Our room was spotless and larger than expected. The hotel location is excellent, you can get a bus outside to Barcelona or Taragona. There is also a small, secluded beach just yards away (it is down steep steps). Port Aventure is a short cab/bus or dotto train away. We are already planning to go back again and have recommended this H10 as a base to friends and family.

Great hotel
11 Aug 2016
A fantastic hotel with great quality food. The choice was fabulous. Rooms are fairly basic but comfortable and we had a great balcony, really roomy with a clothes drier. This is really useful and it's the little things like this that make a difference. Really smiley staff and a couple of great swimming pools. The only minor comment would be that there are insufficient sun loungers for the number of guests and this can be the cause of some frustrations, but it all seems to sort itself out in the end. There is no reserving sun loungers - your towels will be removed - but we spent some time watching other guests literally running to the sun loungers when the pool opened at 10am. It is nothing short of hilarious!

Salou holiday
15 Jul 2016
Excellent family hotel we travelled as a mature couple and found the pool area a bit crowded so we used the roof terrace. Think that the pool should open a bit earlier than 10 o'clock as I wouldn't like to explain to an excited child on their holidays that they can't play in the pool until half way through the morning. We were given a ground floor room at first but asked to be moved as the terrace was dark and dingy because of the greenery in front of it, this was done for us without any hassle. Food very good and varied and room comfortable. Entertainment seemed fine although we didn't watch much of it because of watching the football! Overall an enjoyable holiday and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the few bars around the hotel.

Fantastic family resort
11 Jul 2016
This is a great, family orientated place. We stayed in the hotel section, it has self-catering apartments too. They have struck the right balance between having excellent facilities for children without compromising those available for adults. The pools are great, with two lifeguards on duty for each outdoor one. There is a pirate ship with slides and fountains on the large, kids pool and on another level there is a separate baby pool and more adult pool. There is also a nice indoor pool, but you will need to wear a swimming hat. You can use the sauna and steam room without the hat! Our room was freshly decorated in relaxing shades of white. We booked the only room left which was a triple. Although a little small it was fine for our 14 night stay (at this resort you don't waste much time sitting in your room!). The food was excellent, we stayed half board and the choice every evening was varied, with lots of local options to try. Our six year old doesn't like "kids" meals so she ate from the adult buffet and was extremely happy with the variety. For a quieter lunchtime bite there is La Masia where you can have some lovely tapas and other items al fresco. It is a lively resort where you can have loads of fun with your kids and enjoy watching them having a great time too, but you do also get the opportunity for quality grown up time. The kids club is brilliant and one of the best ones we have used, the staff are amazing. The location is great - you can get a bus outside to Barcelona, Tarragona and of course the theme parks. There are three beaches within a short ten minute or so walk. One is down very steep steps, but worth it if you want peace and space. The other two have cafe and lounger facilities. We will definitely return here again.

Good All Rounder
01 Jun 2016
Impressed with this hotel, staff, food and pool areas. The local was the only downside as it is quite a way to any larger resorts. But the buses are cheap and regular. I walked to Salou and back every day and took me an hour overall. I liked it and was pleasantly surprised !
