Hotel Ocean House Costa del Sol Affiliated by Melia

Hotel was immaculate breakfast was amazing and food from The pool bar was 10-10 especially the club sandwich. We had a room on the 9th floor with sea view and it was bounties most amazing view at sunrise 🌅 Only negative I have is people just waking into hotel pulling up a sun Bed and using the pool. I’m sorry I paid a lot of money to stay here why should ppl just be allowed to walk in and use the facilities

Sole House is in a lovely position on the sea front - the promenade goes for miles each way with lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel is in three blocks - most rooms are suites with a seating area with a sofa bed that has sliding doors to make into a separate sleeping area if required. All staff pleasant and efficient. This is a large hotel with a big restaurant with a good choice of food for breakfast and evening meal - we had an option to swap evening meal for lunch if we wished. Lots of choice of food - something for everyone - chefs cooking meat and fish. Like everywhere else the food is often not hot enough but this is the only negative comment we have. Good fun pool area with live music most afternoons - if you wouldn’t want this you could ask for a room in one of the rear blocks that look over the garden. The harbour is nearby - this is busy with shops and restaurants. Walk Further along the prom in Benanmedina and take the road away from the beach up the hill where there is a roundabout with lots of spinning windmills. At the top of this road is Parque de la Paloma which is a lovely place to spend some time walking round the lake and lovely gardens - children’s play area and three cafes to choose from, Lots of trips are offered and there is a train station in Torremelinos - we had a day out in Malaga from there which was very enjoyable. Think it goes the other way to Marbella.

Stayed at the hotel in a marina view suite for a week to celebrate a friends 70th birthday and there was 22 in the party which consisted of age ranges between 22 and 80 years old. This hotel suited everyone amazingly well, it’s difficult to cater for so many with such varying ages. We all stayed bed and breakfast which had everything you would ever want. The entertainment was exceptional (especially the young female violinist). We thoroughly enjoyed it all from the dancers to the magician. There were steps in the public area but there was also a lift to help elderly and families. The hotel was directly on the front were you could stroll either way to bars and restaurants. The marina is a lovely place to eat or shop. All in all couldn’t have picked a better place for our whole party.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sol House, however, being disabled I found the two lifts at the terrace/beach area constantly breaking down, making it difficult fir me to ascend or descend the stairs. For this reason I would not return. We also paid fir a marine/sea view room which we got. The room was lovely, however, the winand balcony glass was dirty, spoiling our view. Not worth the extra. A pool view would be much better as they get the sun all day and the windows and glass balconies are gleaming. I wouldn’t recommend it for young children as there is nit much fir them to do in the evening as there doesn’t appear to be a kids club or entertainment for them

The main problem with this hotel is the noise levels in both the dining room in the evening and the lounge/bar/television room/computer room after dinner, as you can see everybody is competing for the same space. Unacceptable. Extra quiet lounges are required. Management are conspicuous by their absence or are deaf.

Staff in all departments were always very friendly and helpful. Large well run hotel right on the beach. We found the food to be very varied each day and were never disappointed. Staff worked hard to clear and reset tables very quickly. Great selection at breakfast so didn’t need much at lunchtime. Entertainment each evening and el divo definitely not to be missed. Fantastic Rooms very clean and comfortable and no extra charge for WiFi or the safe. Plenty of bars nearby if you want a change and lots of places to eat around the marina which is very close by. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Sol House when it was the Sol Aloha Puerto back in '03 and it was great then. The refurbishment since then has made it even better, smart, comfortable and of course still in a fantastic location. The external bars were an added bonus.

Been to this hotel several times and rebook because in my opinion the food, service, entertainment and rooms are excellent, location is really good, right by the beach and marina, if you walk towards Torremolinos there are some nice relaxing bars/resteraunts

third time in the Sol House, nice hotel would go back again. on the beach, near the marina, nice long promenade for walks along to the old part of town and west to Benalmadena. short walk up the road to get the bus into Malaga 1euro 70 cents. runs every 20 mins. Malaga is a must while in Torremolinos, the bus terminal is right in the city centre next to the harbour. don't miss out a visit to this beautiful city

This hotel was amazing, we loved it. The location was perfect, the food was amazing the room was clean and modern. The staff were another thing all together. On arrival we were ignored, we were then told we had to wait for our room (which we understood) but no one offered us a drink or even smiled at us. The whole of our stay we just felt that we were unimportant compared to premier guests.
