Hotel Alay

Excellent hotel, very clean, great food, excellent location and helpful staff. Room good and bed very comfortable, maid cleaned room every day. Air conditioning was very welcome. Plenty of Sun loungers around for everyone. Definitely recommend this hotel.

It's a shame because the hotel is very nice, lovely public areas, nice pool, the restaurant is awful, food so bad we stopped going in even though we paid for half board, the restaurant staff were not interested in the guests they just wanted you out, we had wine on the table and went to look at the desserts, when we went back the table was cleared, table cloth gone, wine gone, unbelievable, they were in such a hurry you had to watch they didn't knock you down, one of the waitresses was really cheeky, the staff need training, we paid extra for a sea view room, and the view was sensational, unfortunately the room was terrible, small, no storage, a double wardrobe with one door, and a bathroom from the 80s, no room between the wc and the bidet, a bath with a shower, with a sliding screen on the bath which made it dangerous to get in and out of if you are over 40, after three moves we got a room that didn't have a view but had a walk in shower, we had booked for 2 weeks but after 6 days we just wanted home, I could go on but I can't be bothered, we would never go back, awful hotel.

Great location for marina and beach, literally 2 min walk. Relaxing promenade walk towards Torremolinos and Benalmadena. Hotel was spotless throughout our stay and staff we encountered friendly and helpful. Hotel Alay is dog friendly, upto 7Kg. A fact that is not hidden by the hotel but not mentioned by Jet2 brochure. Of course wifey is allergic to animal fur so, obviously, this would not normally have been a hotel we would have considered. HOWEVER after contacting Hotel reception we were assured by Monica it would not be a problem. She took our booking reference so our room would be cleaned and ionised. True to her word wifey had no problem with her allergy. A big Thank You Monica and Hotel Alay cleaning staff. Would definitely like to go back.

Could not fault anything in this hotel (stayed over Christmas for 11 nights ) Room was lovely with heating that was welcoming in the evening when it was cool outside. Excellent location close to marina and bus stops to go to many places.

Lovely looking hotel it's a good 3star not as advertised 4 breakfast not very good always cold staff pleasant enough rooms at rear need updating it looks like a hospital with everywhere being white good position for the marina and beach coup mins walk as is the main road

An excellent location, 3 minutes from beach & marina. A supermarket is just across the road. Reception, bars & restaurant are very modern & clean. Pool area small but in September it was never crowded. Rooms lovely but bathroom need updated. Air conditioning in room very noisy. Pillow on bed was pathetic. View from balcony is spectacular.
