Medplaya Aparthotel Esmeraldas

Stayed in this hotel in a 1 bedroom apartment. It was extremely comfortable. Beds really comfy. Everything you could possible want in an aparthotel. It was on a B&B basis. It is only classed as a 3 star. But deserves more. Really clean. Every staff member we came into contact with were so incredibly helpful. To be honest they made it for us. The location is only a 10 min walk from the centre. Bar prices were so reasonable. The pool is small, and to be honest we didn’t use it but others did with no complaints. We had a large balcony with seating that allowed you to lounge with a footstool. That was spot on. They looked new. Would I stay there again, if I am ever there in the future the answer is a resounding yes.

The hotel was really nice. Staff very friendly. Rooms clean and tidy. Foot was good just not much of a change each day. Would definitely go there again. Had a great holiday, first time we've ever been abroad

Just back from Hotel Esmeraldas, after spending five very pleasant days there. Very good value, lovely food and extremely friendly helpful staff. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking for a small friendly hotel in Tossa.

good clean hotel, excellent location, on the door step for the local market, good site seeing area, lovely castle, great eating and drinking places, old part of town is charming, plenty of things for both adults and kids.

We have been visiting this hotel for 20 years and keep returning year after year. Tossa is a beautiful proper Spanish town with lots to see without venturing too far. The hotel is brilliant. The rooms are all apartments so you have the added bonus of a full size fridge and cooking facilities if you want them, but all the services of a hotel. The staff are excellent. Friendly, efficient and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.

My wife and I (both in our mid sixties) have just returned home. having spent two weeks at the Esmeraldas, Despite a fairly late arrival we were greeted by a cheerful lady at the reception who efficiently checked us in and directed us to our room, Our accommodation. an apartment on the third floor. was spacious and the toilet in particular. with a four piece suite. including a walk-in shower. was impressive given the hotel's two star rating, There is a long balcony. in our case overlooking the pool, The pool is small and. as the hotel filled up in our second week. could get rather crowded, The location of the premises can not be faulted, We were staying on a self-catering basis and were pleased to find a well stocked supermarket almost on our doorstep, The town centre. with lots of shops. bars. restaurants and. of course. castle walls is only ten minutes walk away, There are a further two supermarkets in the town, We only ate once in the hotel's dining room. fairly average fair. but what we ordered, It should be noted that all entertainment in the hotel ends and the bar closes at midnight, All in all we got what we came for - two relaxing weeks in a truly beautiful location,

Clean rooms,towels changed every day,friendly staff .daily entertainment for the kids,nightly entertainment as well.good choice of food from breakfast to dinner at night.higher up rooms have a really good balcony,plenty of room to have something to eat as hotel does self catering.would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

We had stayed at Medplaya Esmareldas before and this was just as good. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are brilliant. We were self catering and did not eat at the hotel but we spoke to other guests who really enjoyed the food. The bar service was good and the entertainment staff tried hard but the football took centre stage when we were there. The pool is only small but well used and there were plenty of sun beds. A special mention to the reception staff who were really friendly and happy to attend to your needs. Overall a great break and we will be staying here next time we come to Tossa de Mar.

Excellent quality hotel for the price that we paid, brilliant power shower (better by far than some 5 star bathrooms) good quality hairdryer provided in the bathroom. Food and drink prices very reasonable. Bar snacks were very good and tasty but evening meal food only average quality. Friendly helpful staff who go over and above to help. Bit slow at check in on arrival. Pool small with only a small area for sun loungers, glad that we weren't there in high season. Toms steakhouse on the beach side road opposite side to the Castle is a must visit, fantastic quality food with melt in the mouth meats, very reasonable on price too.
