Enotel Lido Resort

Great hotel, lovely staff. Excellent food. We used the spa and daily aquarobics. Can't fault it. Fairly priced. I've been twice now & will definitely go again

Absolutely wonderful hotel, staff were amazing. Food was great and excellent selection of cuisine through the week we stayed. Our two children attended the kids clubs most days and we struggled to get them out of them as they enjoyed it so much. Rooms very modern and clean. Facilities were great and always clean. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. We will return.

the hotel very nice had a hawk to warn off the pigeons food and drinks good but we did not like the waiters wearing jeans in a 5 star hotel

Room was extremely spacious and well appointed. Food was great quality and varied. Good choice of drinks. Catered well for my coeliac condition. Meal in the Madeira a la carte restaurant for our 40th anniversary was brilliant. They made it memorable. Short bus ride to Funchal. Will return.

Having been to this hotel on a number of occasions, we have witnessed the changes, both in design and philosophy. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, so there is no need for dashing down to the sunbeds at 4.00am morning to place your towels. There is always plenty of tables available in the restaurant, although we have visited during the full holiday season.For those with food intolerances, the staff are always helpful and considerate. Easting outside on the terrace can be a bit windy sometime, but refreshing!

Changed a lot since last visited. Hotel full of children, babies and the pools were full of children and blow ups - you could not have a swim Restaurants full of kids and prams and Buggies - it was not what we expected. Very noisy with the children running around and shouting and crying in the restaurants. This is not a hotel for couples - older or young.

It’s hard to describe how fabulous this All Inclusive was. The rooms were spacious, clean and daily cleaning service. The staff were polite attentive and only too pleased to help, they also had a smile on their faces. There was a floor manager who was excellent in walking around all the hotel and keeping an eye out for anything that needed doing. The food presentation and variety could not have been better, and drink, cocktails, beer, spirits, soft drinks and hot drinks were available whenever we wanted it. The 2 pools, one indoor and outdoor infinity pool where great and constantly patrolled by staff, collecting glasses. The resident entertainer was great at motivating and entertaining those who wanted too, plus evening guest acts every night. Couldn’t have asked for any better. Location just on the outskirts of town, but either walk in, or cheap enough to get a bus, running regularly past the hotel.

This was a post pandemic trip for us and it was very important that everything was perfect. The flight and private transfer were excellent. And our reception at the hotel went well. We booked a sea view suite which was probably the best room in the hotel. It was immaculate. The balcony was enormous with sunbeds and umbrellas and all day sun. We had AI and were very pleased with the standard of food and drinks. Negatives were the sullen reception staff and the small, but extremely, noisy number of children at the hotel. It was a 5 star hotel totally unsuitable for children. The indoor pool (which opened onto the terraces) was the only place they could go and they totally spoilt it for adults.

Visited the Enotel Lido again and were not disappointed. The hotel is fabulous having been refurbished again. The rooms are spacious and modern. The food is wonderful with so much choice. The staff? Well you wouldn't find better. So friendly and helpful and they work so hard. We visited in April and I have never seen it so busy with so many children. It was a very different environment. Although the holiday wssnt spoilt, I hope to go again when it is less busy. Hopefully it was a one off.

lovely hotel right on the seafront. The staff were very friendly and the hotel spotlessly clean. I asked for a nice sunny room on a high floor for my birthday and was given a lovely front facing room on the 9th floor. We were given 2 free massages in the spa which was lovely. Food was good and the drinks were top notch. Cocktails were great all made from scratch. I will be returning.
