Vila Gale Tavira

Speedy check in, and room was ready, even though we were hours early. Rooms adequate, although I think we had one of the worst views and drab balcony Pool area nice. Bar staff lovely, and their banter was great. We went bed and breakfast, choice each morning, was very good. Hotel in a great location to all local amenities, including the local ferry to the beach. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Will definitely go back next year, think we may have to upgrade though to a room with a pool view.

Would recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Tavira, which is one of our favourite places. The staff are very helpful and efficient and it is very clean. The pool area is very sheltered and plenty of sun beds available. Breakfast has a good selection and the omelette station is very good. Although we like to eat at a number of the many excellent restaurants in Tavira by a happy coincidence we ate in the hotel on ‘Seafood night’ and were very impressed. This included oysters, excellent seafood cataplana and everything else you would expect. The desserts are standard hotel buffet but ok.

Ideal hotel near the boats to take you to the beach. Great pool area and comfortable and spacious rooms. Short stroll to the centre of Tavira and close to the food market. Good breakfast choices and the pool bar served a good selection of snacks. Quiet and peaceful area.

This hotel has everything to give you a relaxing holiday. It is very central to access bars and restaurants in a Tavira as well as the ferry to the beach. The pool is lovely and clean and there are plenty of loungers around the pool. Staff are friendly, courteous and happy to help.

Vila Gale in Tavira turned out to be really good choice for us with Jet2. The foyer was opulent in its space, the pool was looked over by 3 floors including the ground floor. Breakfasts never failed. No complaints.

The hotel was in a great location, excellent choice at breakfast, pool also very good, comfortable bed too. Lots of very good restaurants nearby and all reasonably priced. Overall a great holiday and will definitely be back

Good value and location. Clean hotel and daily maid service. Only negatives are lack of any long hanging space in wardrobe and too few drawers. Walls rather thin so hear neighbours easily. Would be really helpful to have info on reception E g - weather forecast Local events and amenities etc. Other hotels visited do this daily.

We have stayed at the Vila Gale many times. The hotel is situated in a great position for the town. Staff are great. Breakfasts are enormous will keep you going all day, Recent re-furbs have updated the Hotel.

This hotel is excellent. Very clean, helpful staff, good food, reasonable prices for drinks and snacks, loads of sun-beds and a beautiful pool. Close to all amenities. Also very private. Worth a visit.

This is a spotless and rather grand looking hotel with a lovely outdoor pool, good-sized rooms with refrigerators, balconies, comfy beds and large bathrooms with good quality toiletries supplied. The breakfast buffet supplies anything you could possibly want, from continental to cheeses and traditional Portuguese quince paste to full English! The only thing I could possibly fault is the unforgivably dreadful coffee at breakfast, not sure how they achieve this when superb fresh coffee is available at any cafe or restaurant you choose to visit in the neighbourhood, and also at the hotel bar!
