Hotel Faro & Beach Club

A lot of noise from outside into the early morning. Poor double glazing. Room cleaning seemed rather hit and miss. Breakfast very good, evening meal average and expensive. No visit from Jet2 representative and just a folder to read, which the hotel had difficulty finding. No balconies to rooms.

We bought our stay as part of a package from Jet2. The hotel is ideally located being 5 mins walk from the bus or train station and only 10 euro taxi ride from the airport. The hotel has had a freshen up in the last couple of years. Simple makeover but tastefully done. The entrance is up half a dozen steps but disabled clients have a lift. The staff are all genuinely friendly and are really interested in making your stay enjoyable. The roof top terrance and bar is where meals are taken. Relaxing view over the harbour. Sunday Brunch is worth it for people who appreciate food quality but not liked by those that prefer quantity

My husband and I spent 10 very happy days at the hotel recently. In a central location overlooking the marina and beyond, with a rooftop terrace with small pool and loungers, it was lovely. Couldn't ask for better service from the ladies servicing the room. Very clean and fresh linen every day. The best buffet breakfast of anywhere we have stayed and friendly, obliging staff. I would have given 5 stars but some of the decor is a little tired and the landing carpets have a faint smell of cigarettes, presumably from when smoking was permitted. This was our third time in Faro and we would choose the Faro Hotel again, without doubt.

Hotel is is right in the Town Centre and only 10 minutes (taxi) from Faro Airport. They have a magnificent rooftop breakfasting restaurant with excellent views of the marina and surrounding landscape.

Hotel Faro is clean and modern, centrally located with friendly staff. Breakfast choice and quality is good. Our room was comfortable, clean and well serviced daily. However, I was surprised not to have a kettle and tea/coffee in room, and also there was no facial tissue provided in the bathroom (as one would expect even in a budget hotel). It would have been helpful to be told on arrival that the bottles of water are chargeable - we did not find out until the next morning ( a prominent notice on the fridge to this effect would have been helpful rather than burying it in the small print of the directory). Having said all that, our five nights stay was enjoyable overall.

Spent four days in this hotel. Found the staff very helpful, rooms were nice. Did have a problem with the room but we were moved to a much nicer room very quickly. Breakfast was really nice, loved the fresh fruit salad! Lovely roof top bar and restaurant. Restaurant was expensive so we ate out every evening , there are plenty of restaurants nearby. We were there in February so everything was quite quiet. Hotel is well. Located for the marina and close to both railway and bus stations.

If the view from a roof terrace is important, this is the hotel in Faro for you... ria Formosa at the door step makes this a very special place, the old city is a couple of minutes away, with its beautiful cobbled lanes.(comfortable footwear!! ) the Cathedral, lovely cafe & restaurants. The hotel is everything you will need, very clean rooms, comfy beds and lots of clean towels. ( maybe pack a few light hangers, the wardrobe arrangement could be better) The breakfast in the rooftop restaurant is Amazing, I defy anyone to not find what suits them in the fabulous spread that is presented every morning. We had a birthday during our stay, and had the wonderful surprise of a bottle of bubbly & cake waiting for us in the room that evening. Very much appreciated. We would definitely return to Hotel Faro again in the future.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at the hotel Faro. Ot is in a great location, easy walk from the bus station, near the railway station, very near the town centre and the Old Town and with great views over the Marina.Jimi

We stayed at the Faro Hotel for the first time this week. the hotel is ideally located for exploring Faro. it overlooks the marina and is surrounded by bars and restaurants. All staff are friendly and helpful however Bodern one of the barmen is an asset to the hotel. The hotel is close to public transport allowing easy access to other towns and cities. i would definitely stay again.

Stayed at the Faro hotel in Faro, superb location 10 minute taxi ride from airport. Hotel room clean bright and spacious, modern decor and good en suite facilities. Restaurtant and bar on 4th floor with outside terrace, excellent views of harbour/marina and town. Very close to old town and transport links to other places of interest. Plenty of excellent eating places to choose from. All in all a very pleasant break.

Great location overlooking the marina. First night we arrived we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant,quoted as 1 of the top 10 restaurants in Faro. We were not disappointed. We tried the taster menu with taster wines. Excellent food and wines and very competively priced. Service was good too. Buffet breakfast was extensive and constantly filled up. Our room was freshly decorated and modern with a flat screen tv, safe and mini bar. As is usual in continental hotels though no kettle or beverages

Hotel Faro is excellent in every way. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels supplied. There is an Internet service at reception and wi-fi available. It was my husband's birthday while we were there and a lovely surprise appeared in our room with champagne and cake! Very central for shopping, marina and cafés round about.

Staff friendly and efficient. Food good in a roof top restaurant with a wonderful view. Location couldn't have been better for three days of exploration - near old town, harbour, bus station and train station.

I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel any one wanting a quality experience. All the staff were brilliant. The room was spacious and pleasant. Eating out on the roof was a real pleasure in the sunshine and food was high quality, good selection and service. One day the rain was incredible - not normal for the region - and this caused a few problems for everyone. The staff handled the situation in a very professional and caring way. They could not have done more to help us through our problems. But it is definitely not for families wanting a pool-side holiday. This is an excellent base for exploring both the east and west Algarve
