Pentagonal Tower

You’ll find this former fortress at the entrance to Decumanus Street in Porec’s vibrant walled Old Town. It’s one of nine towers once used to protect this ancient city from invaders. It was built in 1447 and designed to incorporate the relief of a lion and carved with the builders’ names.
