Overlooked by Castello Scaligero is the Malcesine public beach. It's fairly small and great if you're a family with small children as it's easy to keep an eye on them. The pebbles don't make sunbathing too comfortable but there are some benches dotted about so you can still enjoy the view and catch some rays.
