Hotel Tara.

The hotel has good rooms that seem to have been completely renovated. The problem is light. The mini bar fridge has a light, that is on all night, is at eye level when in bed. Without removing the card for all lighting there is not a lot you can do. The curtains are too small and cannot be closed fully. If you join them in the middle, there is about a 5cm gap at each end. Did not enjoy being told to leave the restaurant at 21:05, whilst finishing my coffee. Also do not understand why, if all inclusive, you cannot use the lobby bar, you are directed to the pool bar!

The Hotel Tara is absolutely stunning it is set back from the main road so has good access to loca bus services. It is kept immaculate at all times the cleaners do a great job. The rooms are spacious and the sea view is lovely. The rooms are well soundproof you can not hear your neighbors in fact you would think you where alone once inside your room. The cleaners did a great job clean towels every day and clean bedding mid stay brilliant. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the food serving area it is too small and everything is in one corner also there are only 1 lot of coffee machines altogether and 1 lot of soft drinks and wine all together which is not good when the hotel is full causing long queues . The staff are helpful in their way but a lot don’t speak much English which is not so good. Also the all inclusive is not as all inclusive as most you had to pay for beer in the restaurant and also at the beach bar even though it was only for Tara guests these few things did let it down. But we had a lovely time in a beautiful location.

Good all round hotel ,good food ,good service from hotel staff very attentive.only let down was noisy vibrations in the room from some sort of machine all night long ,no idea where it was coming from .Was asked if we wanted to move but we had already unpacked so it was to much bother ,if only they could have pinpointed the noise for future holidaymakers.

Hotel is very clean and modern but the service was poor especially the pool bar where we ordered a snack that never came .The rooms many of them don't have balconys you can sit on they have standing room only

Montenegro has some magnificent scenery and this hotel is fairly well situated. However although the hotel has a 4 star rating, the Magnolia Villas part (certainly the Kamelia block) would struggle to gain 2 stars, The room we had was urgently in need of some TLC with damage to the laminate flooring, doors to our non-existent balcony not locking properly, poorly done paintwork, flat pack furniture which had seen better days, and badly laid out (the gap between the bed and the dressing table unit was approximately 12 inches making a visit to the toilet in the night very challenging). Food in the main part of the hotel (which was a tidy hike away) was good but very repetitive over 10 days. Staff, apart from very few did not seem to know how to smile. Entertainment was non-existent unless you had booked through Saga, who had their own private lounge. However nearby hotels did not fare much better – possibly a Montenegro thing but they must look to improving the experience for tourists. The Jet2 rep seemed very knowledgeable but was noticeable by his absence (we only saw him on the transfer to the hotel and at the welcome meeting). We were given a phone number by which we could contact him but with phone calls costing £1.49 a minute to either send or receive calls this could have been quite expensive.

We were allocated room K3 in Magnolia Villas. We were aware that we would be in the villas but when we arrived we were extremely disappointed and the room was not as shown brochure. Room K3 was right at the back and an older building to the rest. Although the room was clean the furniture was tired looking, doors to Juliette balcony were difficult to open and the balcony quite rusty. The bed was to close to the dressing table which meant you had to squeeze through. This room was definitely not the 4 stars as indicated.
