Grand Hotel Excelsior

We loved our stay. All the staff were attentive and kind and nothing was too much trouble. Very difficult to single anyone out but particularly wanted to metion Jordan who greeted us almost every day, helped us with transfers and tour buses and was very helpful with information on places to eat and things to do when we asked for his advice. I hope to see him again when I come back again soon.

The staff were always friendly and very helpful and the food was good, with plenty of choice. We were very well looked after and would recommend the hotel to anyone thinking about visiting Valletta.

Love everything about this hotel and it's location. Only drawback would be if you have any mobility issues. I definitely want to go back there.

Very nice Hotel, great location for exploring Valletta. Bar service was a little disjointed. Bar food very good.

We expected a lot from booking this hotel and it did deliver. On arrival all documentation was ready making registration a simple and quick operation. The room was ready even though we were early. The room was clean and tidy. Two bottles of complementary water were provided each day.

We had a fantastic holiday. The hotel, staff and breakfast were outstanding.We could not find fault with anything. The stay was so comfortable and I would love to stay at this hotel again. Centrally located in Valetta so well placed for the bus station . Easy to travel from here to see all of Malta

We spent two weeks at this charming hotel, where the personal touch is all important. You are made to feel really special. The staff are friendly and helpful and really look after you. Perfect location and beautiful setting, with safe swimming in the sea and a lovely pool area with plenty of beds. Large room and beautiful view. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, although it is in need of some tlc in places. Location overlooking Grand Harbour is stunning and we’d recommend paying extra for a room with a harbour view. Food good (we were half board) and staff very helpful. Walk into Valletta is uphill, although we were told of a short cut through a fire escape, which took the sting out of the hill. We’d go back.

Excellent Excelsior. Rooms very good, maybe the furnishings a little dark for some but we found it sort of cosy. Good house service, fresh bottles of water everyday, coffee tea etc refreshed twice daily. Good location five minutes walk from the Main Street and bus ststion. Food was very good, different buffet evenings every night or eat a la carte, or you could eat in the bar area with a slightly different menu. Staff all very nice, friendly and helpful. Very good holiday.

Hotel good but the 88 steps to climb whenever you leave was daunting and tiring. Also is not in Valletta but in Floriana! Staff and facilities were very good. Breakfast food was OK but not 5 star standard. The view from the Dining room was spectacular.

Excellent hotel of a high standard. Staff always willing to help and the concierge is always a good source of local information. The hotel is located on the waterside and the views are great. It is located near the centre of Valletta, but is very spacious and quiet.

Superb hotel. I will stay here again on my next trip to Malta. If you are wanting to experience Valetta this hotel is perfect. Only 10 minutes walk from the Triton fountain and the city gate.. Bus station only 10 minutes walk and all bus routes start and finish at Valetta.

A beautiful relaxing hotel. The staff do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one . Location is ideal just a short walk from the capital Valletta, plenty of restaurants if you wish to dine out.
