Lido di Jesolo
Sand, sea and striped beach umbrellas – welcome to the Italian seaside. Venice’s beachy neighbour, Lido di Jesolo, is a traditional coastal town serving up a classic slice of great-value summertime fun and 15 kilometres of golden Blue Flag sand. Things here are geared up for families and good times, and the whole place has a nostalgic charm – there’s a reason why holidaymakers return here year in year out. In town, you’ll find a lively street lined with shops, pizzerias and gelaterias, with a funfair and waterpark to enjoy too. If you fancy a day trip, head to nearby Venice to tick off its iconic sights!

A bucket-and-spade classic
The essence of traditional Italy, Lido di Jesolo’s a scene of blue-and-white-striped loungers sitting before rolling waves. This sun-freckled resort offers kilometres upon kilometres of beach, with waterparks and fantasy lands to boot. It’s got a beside-the-pier vibe with more charisma than you can shake an ice lolly stick at. After something more active? Hop on a bike and explore the coast – it’s really flat so makes for a gentle ride.
Delicious dinner and drinks
Take your taste buds on a gastro adventure while in Lido di Jesolo. Graze on cicchetti, the local version of tapas, or take a waterside seat and sample fish risotto or crab gnocchi. A tall glass of ice-cold Aperol spritz is usually the cocktail of choice in these parts or you can go for a fizzy glass of prosecco, another regional speciality.
Visit Venice
A day trip to Venice has to be on the cards while in Lido di Jesolo. Immerse yourself in pure architectural beauty as you get lost in the maze of bridge-filled backstreets or cruise down the Grand Canal in a gondola. Pink-tinged Doge’s Palace, huge Piazza San Marco and epic St Mark’s Basilica are all must sees. For a real Venetian experience, stop off at Harry’s Bar for a Bellini – this is where it was created after all.

Hotel was adequate although it is a little tired and in need of freshening up.. Bar area was quiet and there was no entertainment at all. Also they did not cater that well for guests having a later breakfast and often ran out of some items.

Hotel Brioni
24 Jul 2016
The hotel is a very nice place to stay. Very clean.Rooms had everything you will need. Safe in the room was FOC. Air Con again FOC. Very good WiFi which had a small charge of £5 euros per unit for the whole length of our stay(a steal). A wide variety of breakfast options were offered. Food was excellent. As with most Italian hotels, the drinks were chargeable, but not expensive.
All staff were helpful and always tried to respond in English if possible. No communication issues at all.
The pool area was again clean and tidy.
Hotel location from the beach was only two minutes walk from the entrance. The main Lido di Jeslo shopping street, was again only a few hundred meters from the hotel.
The hotel location we felt was excellent.
Jeslo offered many places to visit locally, and should you want to travel via public transport(bus) to Venice, this was easy to organise.
A visit to the tourist information centre, provided us with a free local map, and friendly advise on where to catch the bus etc. We were able to purchase the bus/ferry ticket while at the Tourist Centre.
Simply find the Macdonlds/Sealife/Laguna Shopping complex and the bus station is just behind. Take the no 5 bus to Punto Sabioni-it terminates at the ferry - then take either ferry no 14 or 15 to Venice.
Great hotel, lovely town,great holiday.

Family Holiday in the sun.

What a great hotel this is the staff were the best I have ever encountered on a holiday, nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We were half board and the food was plentiful and also to a good quality standard. The swimming pool was very clean and well maintained and a special mention must go to the bar manager Saif, what a guy he is and is a credit to hotel brioni mare he was kind, thoughtful, welcoming and get good with the children. Top marks all round.

Summer break

The Brioni Mare is a lovley hotel and is ideally situated in a quiet street very near to the beach (to the left) and shops and restaurants (to the right). Francesca and Benedicto at the reception were very friendly (can't say the same for most of the waiters). Sarif who tends the bar is lovley and friendly.
I found the breakfast fine but we eat the evening meal only once as the food was not to our taste which was quite disappointing. I was expecting self service but you were given a menu to choose from. One tip, don't lug your suitcase up the stairs. There is a lift around the side. The pool area is lovely and it is not too deep. There is a Jacuzzi on the top floor which costs about 3 euro for about 1/2 an hour. The internet costs 5 euro for a week and the safe 15 euro for 10 days. Free sunbeds on the beach, but no internet. you ask at the hotel they tell you ask at the beach, ask there they tell you ask at the hotel. The main street is massive and nuts on a Saturday night as it looks like all the locals are out. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days in the Lido de Jesolo. By the way they hardly speak English there but we got by (by the end I was thanking them in Spanish!)
