Lido di Jesolo
Sand, sea and striped beach umbrellas – welcome to the Italian seaside. Venice’s beachy neighbour, Lido di Jesolo, is a traditional coastal town serving up a classic slice of great-value summertime fun and 15 kilometres of golden Blue Flag sand. Things here are geared up for families and good times, and the whole place has a nostalgic charm – there’s a reason why holidaymakers return here year in year out. In town, you’ll find a lively street lined with shops, pizzerias and gelaterias, with a funfair and waterpark to enjoy too. If you fancy a day trip, head to nearby Venice to tick off its iconic sights!

A bucket-and-spade classic
The essence of traditional Italy, Lido di Jesolo’s a scene of blue-and-white-striped loungers sitting before rolling waves. This sun-freckled resort offers kilometres upon kilometres of beach, with waterparks and fantasy lands to boot. It’s got a beside-the-pier vibe with more charisma than you can shake an ice lolly stick at. After something more active? Hop on a bike and explore the coast – it’s really flat so makes for a gentle ride.
Delicious dinner and drinks
Take your taste buds on a gastro adventure while in Lido di Jesolo. Graze on cicchetti, the local version of tapas, or take a waterside seat and sample fish risotto or crab gnocchi. A tall glass of ice-cold Aperol spritz is usually the cocktail of choice in these parts or you can go for a fizzy glass of prosecco, another regional speciality.
Visit Venice
A day trip to Venice has to be on the cards while in Lido di Jesolo. Immerse yourself in pure architectural beauty as you get lost in the maze of bridge-filled backstreets or cruise down the Grand Canal in a gondola. Pink-tinged Doge’s Palace, huge Piazza San Marco and epic St Mark’s Basilica are all must sees. For a real Venetian experience, stop off at Harry’s Bar for a Bellini – this is where it was created after all.

This hotel is passable, the best thing is where it it located and how clean it is. Stayed half board in a room with 3 single beds with an ensuite bathroom. The room & bathroom were incredibly dated, they were functional and the shower was powerful. The air conditioning (chargeable at 70 eur a week) was very good though it broke and despite reporting, was not repaired while we were there, so we were either boiling hot or freezing cold, nothing in between. The room and bathroom were kept very clean, bedding and towels changed daily. The balcony was tiny and so wasn't really enough for us all to sit out on, and with the mozzies we wouldn't have anyway. I would say therefore this a passable budget room.
The rest of the hotel was clean too, though I think the emphasis is more on the bar and cafe than the hotel, there is no comfortable place to just sit without having to buy something, again we ended up going and sitting on the beach. The hotel also seems to very much favour the German tourists, of which there were many The pool and pool toilet was kept clean and tidy. The pool is a small, shallow family pool, suitable for smaller children but not teenagers and there is a distinct lack of sun shades, the ones that are there are not moveable, so you cannot sit comfortably all day without having to constantly drag your beds around or trying to move. Also no pads for them so you are on hard plastic. There is the usual reserving of beds all day without anyone at them so trying to move was pretty impossible, we actually found the beach better to sit, though massively objected to paying the 15eur a day for the pleasure.
Half board was frustrating and I didn't think value for money and I am not a fussy eater. You had to select the day before one of each. from a choice of 2 starters and 2 mains, to be fair if you were in the mood when you actually eat them, they were not too bad, but these were adults meals not children's, You have the option to order from a selection of other easy to cook items, omelette, pizza, chips, chicken and we didn't find out until near the end of the holiday, can be tailored (sort of) to your liking, for example you can ask for toppings on your pizza. This was very definitely of lower standard than was being server in the cafe, we received a dry burger, no bun or anything, just the patty with some chips, vegetables were limited and only 1 1/2 hours to eat. Wine was terrible quality. All in all I'm very surprised this hotel is offered by Jet

I have just returned from a week staying in this fab hotel with my 75yr old mother and i can not fault it. The rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. The food was lovely and so we're the resteraunt staff. It's 2 minute wall from the beach were sun beds were provided free of charge. The hotel is on the shopping strip which is full of resteraunt and shops. I would definatly recommend this hotel to anyone. The owners are lovely and friendly and can not do enough for you. The bus stop to venice is at the rear of the hotel so not far to walk. Give it a go

Sergio and his son were very friendly as was the lady who served us in the restaurant whose name we unfortunately didn't get. Always ready with a smile and welcoming greeting.. The food was excellent and plentiful. Location was perfect. Right on the doorstep for the beach, shops, and bus stop. Our room was perfectly adequate for the time we spent in it and was kept very clean. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday

great friendly place to stay

This was a lovely friendly family run hotel. Yes, the decor is a bit dated, but everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The pool area was lovely, enough beds and parasols.
Meals were geared to UK/German visitors, but the very friendly staff were very flexible if there was nothing on the menu you wanted.
2 minutes easy flat walk to the beach, with your own loungers and parasol included in the room.
lots of shops and gelaterias nearby and a small supermarket right next door.

Great hospitality

Family run hotel, stayed for bed & breakfast. We drank and ate in the front bar a few times, all food consumed was enjoyed and the ravioli was particularly good. They also made delicious milkshakes & ice cream sundaes. The room was quite small but was kept clean each day. We enjoyed the beach, where the hotel had its allocation of sun beds. Found it’s location perfect for our needs & good value.

Happy honeymoon
29 Aug 2016
After reading other reviews for this hotel, I was a bit worried, no need, yes, it could do with an update, but our room was comfortable, it was a delight to come back to a clean and fresh smelling room each day, towels were changed when we needed them, (every day if required) the staff were the friendliest we've had the pleasure to meet, couldn't do enough for us. To our surprise, the main
street on the resort, close to traffic on an evening, which is perfect for children and just for a leisurely stroll on and evening, would definitely go back to this hotel.

Very clean comfortable hotel in a central location. The staff are all very nice and friendly. The food was good and if the menu did not suit you there was always the buffet every night. Breakfast was also good having a good selection of things to eat. Coffee at breakfast was not good but I just had the tea.
We had room 62 overlooking the pool which was a good size, spotless and had a great powerful shower. The rooms are quite dated this but very comfortable. We would have liked another socket there was only one which didn't always work. We had a great holiday and would go back to Harry's.

First Italian Holiday

Great little friendly, family run hotel in a fairly busy resort. All your standard holiday requirements, not too far from the beach, and plenty of local facilities! However, don't expect 'The Ritz' for this kind of money!

We entered Harry's with an open mind after reading very mixed reviews.
What can I say? You do feel as though you've stepped into the 1970's but that's just the decor. As soon as we entered we felt at home.
The room was small but had everything you needed. The bathroom/wetroom was, well very wet when you showered (the shower by the way was great) but can be dryed quickly. Only down side not a lot space for toiletries but you can live with that just put your bits and pieces on the dressing table.
The food was good. I thought it a little old fashioned ordering your eveing meal the previous day but it works and you really didn't have to stick to the three choices of starters and mains. There are more choices below the menu it's completely up to you. There are also warm sides and plenty of anti pasta and salads to choose or add to your meal.
The owners and staff were wonderful throughout our weeks holiday and I was amazed how easily they slipped in and out of different languages for thier customers it certainly puts me to shame. I've been trying to learn Italian for a number of years now but unfortunatley have nevered mastered it!!
Also, I was amazed at how many people we met there who had returned to Harry's hotel on lots of occasions I think that in itself speaks more than a million words.
To all at Harry's keep up the good work, you're doing a splendid job!!!!
Will I ever return to Harry's? I certainly hope so!!!!
