Hotel Caravel

Our stay in april at the Caravel was a wonderful experience. Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of Sorrento in the small town of Sant d'Agnello and close to the Bay. So no hills to climb in a lovely quiet district with great views. Sant agnello also has its own rail station so travel to Pompeii and naples could not be easier.The hotel was very, very comfortable in pleasant grounds and with very pleasant staff, all willing to help. Also a regular hotel courtesy buss to Sorrento. Meals were excellent with brilliant service. Overall a great holiday for us.

From arrival to departure this hotel was superb. Facilities excellent, Room clean tidy and well arranged. The staff from the restaurant and reception through to the housemaids were warm friendly and efficient and enhanced our stay. The free bus to and from town was very useful however the walk was also pleasant and only took about twenty minutes. Overall the staff enhanced our holiday and I would not hesitate to go back..

Hotel caravel is a lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly mothing was to much trouble. The food was very good excellent service. Very clean hotel in a ideal quite area easy to get to sorrento using the suttle bus the hotel provided. Also in walking distance to the train station . Would highly recommended this hotel.

An excellent family run hotel conveniently situated in a quiet area of Sant'Agnello. Very friendly and helpful staff in reception and restaurant. Excellent choice of courses for dinner and breakfast. Very good value. The courtesy bus worked very well for us going into Sorrento. We were sad to leave and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to all staff.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Good accommodation and very good facilities. The food served in the dining room is excellent both at breakfast and for evening meal. Dining room supervised by Pino and Angelo who do an excellent job greeting all the residents and making sure that everything runs smoothly. Reception staff were all very helpful and extremely pleasant. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. On the last afternoon 2 chocolates were delivered to our room with a 'goodbye card' - nice touch. Pool and sun terraces were very well maintained and relatively uncrowded.

Had a lovely week at this hotel. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Also, can't praise the food enough - we were half board but ended up having our lunches at the hotel too - great choice. Lovely outdoor terrace for breakfast and dinner if you didn't want to eat indoors. Plenty outdoor seating areas if you wanted to get away from the pool - speaking of which, a good sized pool and plenty of sunbeds - and you can get towels from reception for a small fee and change them as often as you felt necessary. The room we had was an average size and very clean and comfortable - the only negative thing is that any drawer space was lacking and even a couple of small drawer units would have been appreciated. Having looked at the hotel's website since returning home, think they need to update their photos as a few of them appear to be out of date eg, the pool, some of the rooms and one of the outdoor seating areas with sofas and chairs. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel in a great position, ideal for visiting all the sights. The reception staff were fabulous most helpful. The rooms were great and very quiet at night. The restaurant food was fantastic with a great choice of food and the restaurant staff were the best I've ever come across. It was a fantastic holiday

This hotel and its staff tick all the right boxes an excellent service provided by all from the manager to the room service topped by an excellent restaurant highly recommendable. this hotel is what it says on the can and is faultless.

The Hotel Caravel was an excellent base from which to visit Sorrento (regular courtesy bus provided), Capri, Vesuvius etc. Excellent service in the restaurant. The food was very good and sometimes excellent. Lovely pool and rooms.

Nice hotel , room tidy, bathroom a bit cramped.Resteraunt staff a bit chaotic resulting in slow service at times.Overall food was good and plentiful.Staff very helpful and well organised.Gardens and pool good.
