Olive Garden Apartments

My son and I were lucky to be one of the first families to visit the Olive Grove Gardens since the pandemic and we could not have been made to feel more welcome. We were greeted by George and Dionisia on arrival and their warm welcome and lovely company helped make our week perfect. They even arranged a Greek Feast night for us all at short notice, with Dionisia's mum making the most amazing food. We stayed in a Duplex house which was spacious and could have comfortably slept 5 people, so for 2 of us it was perfect. The rooms were cleaned 6 times in our 7 night stay with fresh towels 3 times in the week. The rooms were well equipped with a full size fridge/freezer and plenty of kitchen appliances should you want to cater in, but we took the opportunity to eat at the pool bar and in Lassi and Agastoli. George went out of his way to help us find where we needed to go for our PCR tests and even collected us when we were finished. Nothing was too much trouble for this couple. It is their first season in the bar so we do hope it is a success for them, as they were still feeling the effects of the pandemic. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds, all positioned so you can see the amazing sea views. The views from our house and pool are some of the nicest we have experienced. Bill the owner made us very welcome and came and said goodbye when we were leaving. All these personal touches make your holiday. I would not hesitate to visit the Olive Grove Gardens again. The hill is a talking point, but if you do not want to tackle it after a day at the beach there are taxis around, but if you are brave enough to, it only takes 10 minutes.

The only problem with the Olive garden is the steep narrow long winding road which can take up to half-hour to walk up, but it all depends on your fitness level. Going down is about 15mins. There was no problem with the place itself, can't fault anything and got good company from a feline friend while staying at number 2.

Absolutely fabulous holiday staying at Olive Garden. We were staying in a duplex apartment as a family of 4 including a teenage boy and girl so the accomodation was fantastic as our son used the bed in the living room. This meant we all had our own space and was amazing value for money. The lower floor of the apartment had been renovated to a high standard. The shower room was well finished and the kitchenette was a great standard could just of benefitted from a couple of serving bowls and a jug perhaps. Due to various family food intolerances/requirements I maybe cook more than many holiday makers but managed well with the limited facilities but then I'm used to camping! The upstairs was a bit more dated but clean and adequate. The layout of the double bedroom meant access to the wardrobe was a bit awkward. We paid the extra for the air con which we did need most of the time. You don't get the remote but if you don't want it on for a while, flick the switch on the circuit!! Hopefully the leak on one of the units has been sorted properly now and isn't still relying on our makeshift wedge! The rest of the site is beautiful and kept amazingly clean and tidy. The pool and bar is fantastic and the food great value for money. This was our first time in Kefalonia and loved it. The hillside location was fantastic as we are happy to walk and our kids prefer pool to beach. We did the walk up and over the hill to Argostoli and back several times. Recommended to several people already and would certainly go again.

Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely views. Great pool. Great rooms.Ok it is up a steep hill but you can easily walk down in 10 - 15 minutes. A bit of a slog back but if you are full of dinner you can jump in a taxi for 5 euro. This was our first holiday ever going back to the same place and we love it.

Stayed in a duplex apartment beautiful accommodation with 2 lovely bathrooms and 2 balconies. It is up a very steep hilll walked down on an evening taxi back up at night 5 euros well worth it. Lassi is very nice had some beautiful meals out and a trip to Oskars restaurant is a must food amazing and service second to none.

My wife and I had a really great time at the Olive Garden. Zoey and Mel at the bar cannot do enough for you. The cleaning staff where excellent and the rooms are what you would expect for a self catering resort although I must admit I did not cook once while there as the bar serves good food and there are plenty of resteraunts in town. Yes, there is a hill to climb to get there but if you want the stunning views and to watch the sunset in good company you need hieght and the bonus is you will have buns of steel after a week :) My wife and I would certainly go again.

The accommodation was clean, fresh and recently refurbished, the maids visited each day, beds were changed regularly as were towels, the pool and surrounding area were spotlessly clean, the bar area also, food could be purchased 9am - 9pm and drinks until after 12am , anyone is welcome to use the pool and bar facilities which was good for us as other family members staying elsewhere were able to join us. very basic kitchen and equipment but as the many restaurants nearby serve beautiful food at reasonable prices you don't need to cook. The Olive Gardens is some distance up a very steep hill but as we had hired a car this was not a problem for us but maybe for others, although taxi's are plentiful, would stay again, it was a good base for visiting the rest of island but if that's not your thing then there are lovely local beaches
