Dream Village

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Dream Village. Fabulous holiday! Had an apartment which was newly refurbished. Spacious, clean, but beware, wardrobes don't seem to be considered necessary! Bar/lounge area very comfortable. Pool area was quiet with plenty of loungers, pool was cleaned every other day. However, the older rooms really do need attention (maybe renovated this winter?) They are gloomy and have hot water issues. We would certainly consider returning as the staff were lovely, and once the beer was re-stocked, its served very chilled with iced glasses - lush!!!

The refurbished rooms are brilliant. Great balcony x TWO!! Location is ideal and it did exactly what we needed of it. Very clean. Towels & toilet roll provision was good & the air con worked a treat. Would go again if I had the time

The pictures on trip advisor are from 2012 ? So out dated... Our first room was very dirty, Dust everywhere, we later were told it was an extra room in case of double bookings ? Pool too was nothing like the pictures shown, it had a dirty scum mark around it. The bar too was dirty and in the heat you stuck to everything you touched. I got sick of washing myself. I for one would never go back there, 2 star is 2 star ? Some told they got clean towels and launder every other day ? We got rooms cleaned every other day, towels each 4 days and launder just once in a week and a half. Were we just un-lucky ? Barbecue night, we went in the afternoon to book it but all the meat was laid at the end of the bar, un-covered with flies on it. We decided to eat out …. I can only go from my experience and it was a very dirty place so can't understand how it has so many GOOD reviews, then again if you look most are single posters from a mobile ? Staff may have been busy ? I can see why most spend the day out at star beach, which is not free. Your not allowed to sit on the grass so you have to buy a chair/parasol (optional and slides, it cost 3 of us £40 a day there, but worth it to escape the hotel.

Staff friendly good location, pool wasn't cleaned for few days so had scum round the tiles too many inflatables so can't just leisurely swim. Had to share 2 beds between 3 people didn't pay to have to sleep with another 40 year old of same sex so no sleep for a week and when guests say they had 3 beds in their rooms for only two people it's not fair. Wouldn't recommend or stay again. Ruined the holiday totally

Lovely holiday in a lovely area Koutouloufari is amazing. Appartments was excellent we had one of the newly refurbished ones. Pool area needs some attention and improving especially the decking area. Giannis the barman come entertainer is amazing nothing is too much trouble and he always makes you welcome. Would definitely go back and stay at dream village.

Th.e location is very central with nearest tavernas about 100 m away. Room facilities poor with onle a shower tray no curtain or screen expensive air con and safety deposit (110 euros for 14 nts) Snacks very reasonable Eng breskfast 5 euros inc coffee. Rooms could do with a deep clean. Not the maids fault bless her she just has too much work for one person..

The dream village is a good basic place to stay to enjoy koutalafari.Rooms are ok get one away from pool area if you want quiet.yannis is a great guy and will make sure you dont go thirsty no matter what time it is.Local tavernas are very close and loads to choose from.Its up avery steep hill but great views of hersonossis which is 20 minute walk away 35 to get back.

stunning position on the hillside overlooking hersonissos. wonderful friendly welcome from yannis who carried the cases for us and actually showed us to our room. room small but very clean and beds were good with plenty of spare pillows. didn't need much in room as only use it to sleep and shower but there was a fridge , kettle and good shower . cleaning lady came in every day except sunday and she always had a smile and a "kalimera" tidied beds and even washed our cups. yannis is a star always around and always loud and friendly nothing was too much for him. didn't eat in complex but snacks looked ok. pool area well kept with amazing views. long climb up from hersonissos centre but taxis at bottom of hill. the villages are beautiful and there are loads of great bars and restaurants and lovely shops not all full of tourist tat. never had a bad meal in 2 weeks and we ate in different place most nights. the friendliness of the greek people was amazing there was always a smile and a greeting even if we weren't eating in their tavernas. bbq night every thurs 10 euros in dream village. we had terrace not balcony and it was always in shade which was blessing in 35 degree heat.
