Top sands
If you’re a beach worshipper, there’s plenty for you in town, including the watersports-packed Playa Dorada and the golden stretch of Playa Blanca. For peace and quiet, head to Flamingo Beach, where the locals practice fishing. The Papagayo beaches pull in the votes for Lanzarote’s best grains, too.
Marvellous marina
At the classy Rubicón Marina, it’s not just about admiring the glistening yachts and going out on various trips fishing, diving or sailing – there’s much more on the agenda. Explore the designer boutiques, sip cold cocktails, and kick back and relax in bars and eateries.
Promenade views
You can take in the whole of Playa Blanca’s seafront and marina from the very promenade that links the town’s beaches, making gawping at scenery pretty easy. Get a great view across the water to Fuerteventura, and stop off for a drink or snack in one of the restaurants.
