Limassol – Larnaca
Limassol’s a big town that hugs the shore on Cyprus’ south coast. Its sweeping beaches, designer shops and charming old quarter have visitors coming back time and again. Flowers along the pretty streets splash the area with pops of colour, while lush greenery makes the ultimate backdrop for some top holiday snaps.
Lively Limassol’s the biggest resort on the island and it’s a total melting pot – part traditional Cypriot town, part fun-fuelled modern resort. By day, explore the old town and glistening marina on foot or by bike before hitting the high-street shops. As the evening comes around, the nightlife in Limassol is as energetic as it gets.
Acres of golden sand
The town centre’s flanked by curving beaches with Blue Flag status. Dasoudi Beach is the attention-grabbing stretch in the middle, with an almost-horizontal shelf of sand and warm, shallow waves. It all links up along a palm-lined seafront promenade, so just watch the sunset over a cocktail.
A taste of the city
The skyscraper-studded skyline of Limassol also takes this by-the-water resort up a notch, into a full-blown city with a seaside. It offers the whole package if you're after a beachy break that nails the cool metropolis brief too. Eat out in swish restaurants and tavernas or head further out into the surrounding wine regions.

Brilliant hotel and fabulous staff
13 May 2022
Arriving at the hotel for a second time felt like home straightaway. The staff and management are exemplary in all they do. We felt like part of the family and everyone was so welcoming. The reception and public areas are pristine and the service in all the bars is brilliant. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces, which in our eyes shows how well staff are looked after and that it’s a great place to work! Buffet restaurant had always lots of choice and was refreshed constantly, the pool areas were clean and inviting and always enough sun beds to soak up the sun and having a small beach and sea on the doorstep adds to the experience. Great location as you have many shops and bars around and the old town was just a taxi ride away. But the real advantage of staying here is the wonderful staff, they really make your holiday and we would like to add our thanks and congratulations on making this a fabulous destination. We cannot speak highly enough about the General Manager, the Operations Manager and all their colleagues for making this a great holiday and always going the extra mile to make your stay the best it can be. Well done and congratulations to all, truly deserved.Try it for yourself we would highly recommend this to anyone.

Relaxing break

The hotel was perfect although i found the location outside the hotel not so appealing, hence we stayed on site most of the time. constant waiter service around the pool, food and most of the staff were excellent. however before checking out as we had a late flight we wanted to extend our room but every time we went to reception, the receptionist were less than helpful and a bit aloof. conflicting information every time we went to ask. we paid to extend and as all inclusive guest were told that food and drink were included until we leave the hotel, but this wasn't the case. i queried this and they gave me a voucher in the wrong name, no apologies in fact they were rather arrogant. shame as the holiday was perfect until the last day when the front line staff were less than helpful and confusing issues as they didn't have the right guest. it kind of spoilt the good experience. management need to address this.

Excellent hotel with superb food and service. The feel in the hotel is of quietness and very peaceful with very nice sea views and great beach area. The outdoor swimming pool could really be a little warmer however we did use the spa pool frequently

We have just stayed 4 days at the above
The hotel, staff and food were all fantastic, really can’t fault and won’t fault anything
The only issue we had was that there was not much for us to do outside of the hotel
The marina, which is also very nice, was a 15 minute bus ride

Our Royal Apollonia experience overall was a relaxing stay. We understand what hotels need to have to qualify for a rating however this hotel from a guest point of view does not qualify of a 5* rating for the following reasons. Other than the main buffet area there was nowhere to purchase light snacks etc during the day as the area that done this was closed.Safe in the room was stuck to the side of the wardrobe with double sided sticky tape that was detached, this should have been detected and fixed before we arrived. Suggest the gym has air con, as becomes very hot as it's on the bottom floor with no windows. Water cooler provided in the gym should be kept full, as this was empty each of the 4 days we visited. The main self serve buffet area, men had to wear long trousers, however in the more formal Restaraunts they could wear long dress shorts. Would have been a nice touch to rake the sand on the beach each evening when guests left, making it presentable the next day. Would have liked a longer lead on the hairdryer as this was a little awkward being left handed and couldn't see properly to dry hair in the mirror. Pool bar was very untidy and not presentable. Cartons and bottles left open when not used. Whilst sitting in the pool at this bar this did not look good. Try to discourage the feeding of the local cats. Observed cats climbing on tables to take leftover food once guests had left. Guests throwing food on the floor for the cats to eat, which also attracted ants. Spa room below was occupied by a group of males who were very loud until early hours of the morning. Italian restaurant had the same menu choices for the 10 days we were there.Cost of drinks generally were expensive...On the plus side the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Even though the menu in the Italian restaurant was limited, the quality was very good and very tasty, and the young waitress in there was very polite and friendly. The sea view room was exactly that and had beautiful view. The bed was comfortable. The beach was very handy with clear clean sea. Loved to swim out to the rocks to enjoy the peaceful scenic views.Watersport facilities very close by. The poolside waitress from London was an excellent, extremely hardworking young lady who is an asset to the hotel, she made sure everyone was attended to, and was very genuine when speaking to guests. She would do well with a higher profiled role within the hotel in the near future.

'THE ROYAL APOLLONIA' HOTEL, LIMASSOL, CYPRUS.
05 Aug 2016
'The Royal Apollonia' hotel, which a few years ago was very tastefully, completely refurbished, internally and externally, fully deserves it's 5 stars. It is a very comfortable and clean hotel which is serviced very efficiently. It is situated in an excellent and convenient beachside location within the tourist area and easily accessible for the local bus into town; the fare for which is less than a couple of Euros per person.
There are 3 restaurants within the hotel; one offering buffet service for breakfast and lunch and supplying dishes of different nations on selected evenings, a Japanese restaurant offering table service and an Italian restaurant offering table service. All 3 serve very good fare from their comprehensive menus.
The hotel staff are very pleasant and obviously well trained to serve and be of assistance, all of which makes a holiday enjoyable. Many of the staff speak more than 2 languages.
The large and very effective outside pool Jacuzzi is an added bonus, especially when, according to pool rules, children under 18 years of age are not allowed to enter. Unfortunately the sign intimating this is not obvious and requires to be much larger and placed at the entrance to the pool. Many young children try to use this Jacuzzi as a swimming area which detracts from adults enjoying this relaxing feature. Many adults also take very young children into the area, not realising the possible later discomfort such young children might suffer from having been in powerful water jets. I think it would be a good idea if copies of the pool rules were placed in each guest room, written in Russian, Greek and English. These should also explain the reasons why children under 18 are not allowed the use of the Jacuzzi. There was a problem one evening when a group of Russian children were running around the upper corridors after 22.00 hours, using the lifts to access the floors to generally cause a disturbance to hotel guests on those floors. This was quickly stopped when the reception staff were alerted of the problem. It was obvious that some parents who wished to enjoy their holiday unrestricted by their children, abandoned responsibility for them but the hotel staff quickly dealt with the matter. This hotel, like many others, accommodates families, so it is not unusual to experience some slight disruptions, not always just caused by children.
This is an hotel to which we return often and will again.

Fabulous Hotel, great location, lovely walk into town along the front.
The Hotel staff were excellent.
We stayed Half Board, the buffet for breakfast and evening meals were excellent.
I would also recommend the two other restaurants which are Italian and Japanese.
