Villa Lanterna

The lovely staff made this place special. Clean, air conditioned en suite bedroom, good breakfast and great sea views from the restaurant. Very short walk down to the beach, but we made use of the local buses and ferries to explore the area. Maya recommended the Elefanti islands boat trip which was a great day and amazing value for money. We were b&b but ate in the restaurant several times and were impressed by the quality and value, as well as the lovely helpful staff.

We had a wonderful time. We had a one bedroomed apartment which surpassed our expectations. It was roomy, clean and well equipped. The Maiya and Mika were always there when we needed them. The food in the adjoining restaurant was superb. Stikovica was very small but we soon found it was possible to walk across the bay to Zaton Mali. A little care is needed for part of the way but the rest is fine. This changed it for us because we like to get out and about and explore. We did a number of trips including Mostar which was just beautiful. We took the mini bus to Dubrovnik a few times and visited Locrum - paradise- easy boat ride from the harbour. A beautiful country which I will return to again and again.

The most hospitable owners of a hotel we have ever experienced. Their friendliness of Mya and Mirko was beyond expected. Their menu and food was off the scale and also unexpected. We read previous reviews before we went, but this was exceeded. Their local knowledge and information was incredible and we felt like they were really interested in their guests. What a lovely quaint little hotel just a short distance outside Dubrovnik. The staff were lovely and couldnt do enough to help you. Hotel is small but very clean. Also very quiet great if your looking for a quiet beak away as a couple. Although public transport in the area wasn't great there was a regular shuttle bus that's run by the hotel that takes you in and out of Dubrovnik for a small cost.

Hotel clean and tidy, fantastic shower, nice pool, although quite small. Nice breakfasts and very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to beach and a nice restaurant. Beach pebbled!! Highly recommend water shoes. A little far out from Dubrovnik and required 2 buses to get to the Old Town and has no ATM or Supermarkets in the small village. However we hired car through hotel and ideally situated for main route to Bosnia and Ston/Split if planning a day trip.

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely accommodation. Staff are all friendly and very helpful. It’s 15 minutes away from Dubrovnik but they have their shuttle available for you to use (not included on our package). Our apartment is very clean, veranda overlooking the nearby beach. Their pool is clean. Food was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay there. Thank you.

This accommodation is small and basic by way of facilities. However the friendliness of the staff and their desire to ensure you enjoy your stay more than compensates for this. The location and views are stunning and the attached restaurant offers a delicious menu, with again excellent service. If you want a quiet, beautiful location where you really can get away from it all in an area that remains unspoilt, this is worth considering.

The hotel is small with good sized rooms. I had a room with balcony which gave me wonderful views of the surrounding areas. The hotel had a well placed veranda which also gave you views over the Adriatic Sea. Hotel,rooms well maintained with towers changed daily. We had opted for half board and eat at the Konobo Veranda. The staff were lovely and the food was really good. Cooked fresh for you. As we were on half board we were given a limited menu which had been agreed with the villa laterna. This meant that your choice was limited. I would suggest that you do nit bokhalfbiard and just opt to eat at the Veranda so you gave the choice of the full menu in order that you can have a better choice. The cost of eating there is inexpensive and the food is wonderful. Would go back to both hotel and rstaurant

just spent two weeks at the villa lanterna stikovica,had a fabulous time,could go on and on about it but cannot find anything too add to what other contributors have said,thanks to all the staff for a memorable holiday.only downside for us was the stairs"80+ to our room 5a" so if you have walking problems ask for rooms 1a,1b,2a,2b,still stairs but not too bad,nice and peaceful relaxing fortnight.

Great apartment/hotel, extremely helpful staff, clean and comfortable, a bit far out of Dubrovnik but has a bus service taking you nearer to old town. Has a great restaurant attached to it and a lovely bay, local bus service .

Ideally located by a sweeping bay, this villa is ideal for those seeking a quiet time and wonderful scenery. The small pebble beach is not to far away although this involves negotiating some not too difficult steps. The restaurant offers high class food that's surprisingly inexpensive. Alternatively, the beachside bar is a great place to watch the sunset. The staff at Lanterna are friendly and very helpful. The villa is located about six miles from Dubrovnik, but that's not a problem as the staff run a minibus at certain times of the day for which a moderate fee is charged. There's also a free bus service to the local shop for groceries at 9.30 each morning.
