Royal Blue Hotel

This hotel has 2 pools. We liked using the one the lower level, outside the restaurant but it did let the hotel down. There was no pool man to keep the area clean and tidy. There were a number of broken beds around the pool which kept getting moved by visitors but remained around the pool all week. Visitors could take armful of towels and often left them on beds and never returned which was disappointing when new arrivals were looking for somewhere to sit. Some sort of return system would stop this. One evening because of a storm the parasols had been removed. By 10.30 still not a parasol around the pool so my husband went to reception to ask and they said it would be attended to. About 15 mins later the waiters from breakfast brought them out. If you were sat there you got one and if not you didn't, it wasn't their priority. The waiters seemed to serve breakfast and lunch and were not so bothered about the pool. Its the only 4/5* hotel we have stayed at where nobody came around the pool to take drinks orders and deliver them to you. A number of wild cats were in the area which wasn't a problem but one morning we came to the pool and the faeces was sitting on the grate on the edge of the pool where the water flowed over and into the filter and it was a couple of hours before it was removed. Some improvements to service and standards around the pool would improve this otherwise nice hotel.

The staff at this hotel were first class from the cleaners to the top people, especially the waiters/waitresses. They were friendly and very helpful. Location wise we would have liked to be nearer the town but otherwise an enjoyable holiday. Would recommend.

Mine and my partners stay in Royal Blue hotel, Importanne Resort was perfect! Other reviews seem to concentrate on negatives, however they simply do not effect your stay atall. The hotel was immaculate, room was spacious, and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The facilities were great, and every single member of staff were extra helpful and friendly if you needed anything. Maja, a lady on reception, was particularly great. The food was gorgeous in every resteraunt, a lot of fish based meals! The location was perfect, a quiet and relaxing place to spend the days and sleep, yet only 10 minutes walk to Lapads strip with plenty of bars and eaterys. Aswell as 10 minute bus journey to old town (bus tickets can be bought from reception which was helpful). We wouldn't change anything about our stay and would love to come back!
