Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Gran Canaria

Stayed here mid December, weather was surprisingly lovely, low 20s, evening just a little colder but not what I would call UK chilly. I didn’t need wear a jacket, just a cardigan since evenings. It rained 1 or 2 times during our stay. We were half board and food was hit or miss, not sure I would recommend if you have the freedom to move around and avoid ‘leftover’ Sunday lol (we have 2 small children). Pros - separate pools, clean (1 quiet pool and kids pool and activity pool) - Things to do for small kids were great! - staff are friendly (except some cleaning staff) - off peak entertainment/activities, best I’ve experienced in low season - Desserts were quite nice most evenings - Managers were quite attentive if there were issues i.e. the restaurant manager, Rebecca at front desk, which I appreciated. - Location, supermarket 5 mins, nice walk from beach Cons - seems to be an infestation of little bugs/ants in all the rooms (we had a large group, 5 rooms and 1 room had cockroaches) - my room never really felt properly cleaned until we complained - The cleaning team probably let the hotel down the most, it was never up to par and always had to prompt for things nearly everyday - Some chefs at the teppanyaki grills are not trained sadly i.e. putting a spoonful of large grained salt in one whole clump on an omelette (instead of spreading it around the omelette- that’s just CRAZY lol, any normal person that manes their own eggs wouldn’t do that let alone a ‘chef’). I had to instruct them after that and thankfully they listened. - half board but can’t bring your own water to restaurant Room for improvement - Be attentive to help guests with luggage on arrival - cleaning team don’t seem to have the same culture as other staff around the hotel - deal with infestations - entertainment team should encourage more participation because some people aren’t aware of what is happening Generally it doesn’t meet the expectation of other 5 star resort in regards to simple things like staff training and cleaning, it’s more 4 star. I still enjoyed my holiday, it just didn’t align with standards Im used to and paid for. Special shout out to: Fleur (entertainment), restaurant head manager, Rebecca front desk manager, young lady on cleaning team who was delightful. NOTE: before arrival I noticed some reviews are for a different radission. This raddison Morgan has only 4 floors.

Everything about this hotel is great. The rooms are lovely, clean and well equipped. Breakfast buffet is lovely food. All the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and approachable. The extra activities and sports facilities are really useful and the gym is well equipped. We love using the quite pool area and it's great to have the family pool separate for louder activities. Spa is great and also good value. The shower rooms provided on last day are too hot and need to be cooled but that was our only issue.

100 percent excellent. Each staff member could not be more helpful. Hotel is well thought out very clean and has excellent amenities. This is our second stay and will definitely return. Location great.

Great time at the Radisson in Morgan. Third time we have been and doesn't dissapoint. Great facilities, pools and the staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are great with plenty of room for a couple. Great location for walking down to the harbour for an evening meal.

Lovely hotel. Rooms clean and spacious. Gym was great, my daughter loved it. Wide range of meals and barbecue/ grilled meats and fish The pool was adequate. Loungers get filled quite quickly and quite often just reserved with towels and miscellaneous items

Been going to Mogan for many years now. Was there the week this place had first grounds cut and pile driving started. Fantastic place to stay. Big and spacious. Staff excellent and helpful. Only had breakfast meals there, but there was loads of choice and plenty off it. Chef kept bringing hot fresh stuff all the time. Entertainment was basic but the performers were good. Rooms were spotless. Cleaned daily and fresh towels etc. Great big balcony with two loungers and cushions plus table and two chairs. For those that cannot go on holiday without the" kitchen sink", sorry, tablets, laptops etc, the Wi-Fi is very good. Drinks at the bar were probably only 1Euro more than in Mogan itself. Would recommend this place. The beds and pillows are so, so, so comfortable. They are "Ace". Take a look at Reef Bar up road on left as you come out of the hotel entrance.

Hotel location was awesome, we were upgraded when we arrived which was an added bonus and the room was huge, spacious and clean. The decking area with sun beds was a great touch and having the different pool options was great. The hotel breakfast had an array of choice and with it being walking distance from many restaurants and shops we were never hungry! I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gran Canarias.

Great, modern and stylish hotel with excellent staff and facilities. The room was spacious, clean and well laid out. The balcony was all it could be with sun loungers and table and chairs. We were half board and whilst the food was ok we felt dinner could have been better. Breakfast lived up to the rating of the hotel and when we dined in the a la carte restaurant that too was very good. The service at all times was excellent and the staff are to be congratulated on their effectiveness and brilliant attitude. The hotel is situated a distance from the port (approx 10 minute walk) and we enjoyed the enforced activity of walking down and back. All in all an excellent choice and we would go back.
