Occidental Jandia Royal Level

Thoroughly enjoyed my holiday - staff were very attentive and helpful. Was looking for a quiet and peaceful location to relax and this exceeded my expectations. Weather was hot, but the breeze kept it manageable and the evenings were cool making it easy to sleep.

Absolutely everything was perfect. Is an amaizing place and I will go back there anytime. The most friendly staff that I ever meet, with some pluses for Giada wich was amaizing especialy in the a la carte restaurant, but also in the buffet restaurant,and for Miguel the bartender wich was also amaizing all the time and served us with juices, fresh fruits while we were siting at the pool. Is the perfect place for relaxing, the rooms are very spacious and they provide absolutely everything. The a la carte restaurant was lovely. When I left the resort I've cryed. I wanted to stay there forever. The only thing that could be improved, in my opinion is the SPA, that is too small for such a big resort. If you will go there you wont regret it.

If you are reading this then you must be considering staying at this hotel. It was the first time for us in Fuerteventura and an Occidental hotel and we need to acknowledge that, after a week's all inclusive, the Royal level (adults only) food was some of the best we've ever had (not so convinced by the main restaruant - more later) We were met by Marianna who very kindly arranged a welcome card, chocs and fizz to help celebrate our anniverary. Quiet breakfasts and long lunches at the Atlantico restaurant were our particular favorites. There's a superb range of freshly prepared dishes, especially the fish dishes and cook 'on the spot' options that you will enjoy and a great view overlooking the long Jandia beach. A big thankyou to all the catering staff but especially Sonia, Filo and Ellenia for keeping our table serviced and our wine glasses continually topped up! The Royal level offers a large private sun terrace a short stroll from the room and at its centre a couple of pools alongside a large chunk of peace and quiet, although you can around midday day hear the energetic aqua-aerobics instructor in the main pool. We found that by third day in we were stuffed but, if you can manage to eat even more, waddle over in the evening to the patio de canarios for lovely themed menu nights where once again the service staff are excellent. (A bit of themed background music (Spanish, Indian, Italian etc) whilst you dine would make it even nicer!) To help work off all the food, the splendid long sandy beach is a short shlep down the hill into the local town with a variety of shops along the beachfront boardwalk. The main restaurant offers a massive choice of buffet food but I'm afraid that food, the brightly lit area and the levels of noise resembles a school canteen. We tried it twice but nothing could tempt us back there again and this review would have read very differently if it had been the only evening dining option. The a la carte patio de canarios on the other hand was great as above.

I cannot fault this hotel in any shape or form. It was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. The staff were amazing so friendly, food out of this world, cleanliness brilliant and reception always willing to help. The peace and quiet was fabulous, we could hear the entertainment in the children's area but it never encroached into our area. If you need pure relaxation this is the hotel you need.
