Hotel showing a few signs of age in my room, especially the bathroom. Staff seemed very happy to chat to guests for hours in Spanish, German or Italian, but not so keen to engage in English - or maybe it was just me . . . What really spoilt it for me was being told, as a 'half-board' guest (i.e. no lunch) that I was not allowed to help myself to the cold drinking water tap at dinner time. How petty and futile, and even potentially dangerous if one's food goes down the wrong way.

First impressions of hotel were good, with a clean and tidy foyer. Hotel receptionist was very nice and got us booked in quite quickly Hotel safe is €20/week With towels available for a refundable deposit. Room was comfortable (standard double) and although being described as a room without a view looked out over the bay. The only drawback was it was close to the hotel delivery/refuse area so could be a bit noisy early morning. However as early risers it wasn't a problem, if you like a lie in then it could be. Hotel facilities good with 3 pools plus 2 children's paddling pools, children's splash park under construction and almost finished. Tennis courts, crazy golf etc with many activities run by the hotel active team. This hotel hosts a VeraClub which is an Italian holiday organization and have there own activity team etc. They use the lower pool and although this is Not an Italian only pool it can have that "feel". Hotel Animation team (Activ) Led by Nacho Very good, with many organised activities during the day from yoga /pilates to Zumba, aqua gym etc with Rebeka, If you feel like stretching your legs for a gentle stroll on a Sunday morning then look out for the exploration walk up to Sotovento beach. (10:30am) Other sports mini golf, tennis volleyball, boccia etc with Edwin, throughout the day. Whilst Paula and Patrice are the children's miniclub (Daisy club) carers. But also help out with the other activities occasionally. The team also put on synchronised shows during the evenings, ranging from musicals to comedy, which we enjoyed. We found them to be a very good, hard working and friendly team. The hotel also put professional shows on, ranging from a 60s band to a magicians show. Food Good range of choices available in the main restaurant Pool bar also serves food at lunchtime, burghers, hotdogs etc if you don't want to go up to the main restaurant. Drinks Good range of drinks available. With three bars. Pool bar (La Choza) Disco/Entertainment bar and a lounge bar. The lounge bar could become quite busy particularly at peak diner time (7pm - 9pm) with queues developing dispite the best efforts of the bar staff who worked very hard to to serve people as quickly as possible. Sometimes there just wasn't enough people behind the bar. Gym Good with enough equipment to keep most people happy. Very busy around 4pm-6pm. Loved this hotel been to area before love it.food fabuloushotel immaculatestaff amazing with a special mention to restaurant staff Christian and Maria were outstanding.bar staff work very hard and remember your drinks.evening entertainment need's a few more acts the team work extremely hard but this needs attention.

Our first trip to Feurteventura and a good time was had by all . Bit windy, but we knew that before we left ( Helped with the sunbathing though !! ). Hotel was great and there was plenty going on at the Hotel if you like that sort of thing ( Darts, football , Volleyball etc ) . Special mention for Mario ( Entertainment team ) always happy always smiling - did a great job, and obviously enjoyed doing it !!

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The animation team left a lot to be desired. their linguistic skills were sadly lacking. The shows were mostly dreadful -the thinking seemed to be the louder the music the better,

This hotel was lovely. On your arrival you are greeted by the friendly Reception Staff Santi and his associates and a welcoming refreshing drink be it fruit juice or Prosecco. The staff are very helpful from Reception staff, Maitre D waiting staff, Lounge bar staff and room service staff all on hand to help make your stay comfortable. There is a beautiful outlook from reception to the sea. The rooms are always kept clean and tidy. We had a balcony with a view of the Sea. We had no noise problems, no uncomfortable beds. During the day you could play tennis, volley ball, crazy golf or inside table tennis and pool. There was always a variety of food for all be it meat eaters or vegetarians. There was entertainment every evening to amuse the children and adults (not for us) We preferred to sit at the bar lounge pre dinner drink and relax there afterwards. There was access to the pool areas including kiddies pools play areas by stairs and lifts. Sloping paths for prams/wheelchairs. There was a bar area next to the pools which provided all variety of snacks from fruit, toasties, burgers, pizza, pasta and much more. We preferred to go for a walk along the beach if you walked to the back of the hotel (towards the sea) down some steep stairs (sorry not accessible if you are disabled) and turned (L) then walked across some volcanic rock you had a small leap down (wear shorts and flat sandals shoes - waterproof) then you could then enjoy a lovely walk along the beach which stretched for quite a wee bit whilst water lapping on your legs and you can enjoy the sunshine. There is a smaller beach at the front/back of the Hotel if you wish to use but the beaches are not part of the Hotel. If you are looking for action this is not for you, if you are looking for a quiet chilled out holiday then you will find it here.

Great hotel,great food ,great staff,Special mention for lobby bar staff,Salah and javier,also animation team worked hard ,special mention for Ionel who never stopped smiling.only down side was the amount of Italians there they had ther own animation team which was quite noisy.

my third time stopping there so that says it all.Very clean throughout and the staff cannot do enough for you.The entertainment gets a bit stale after three times of seeing but that is only to be expected,you can always retire to the lounge.

Excellent 2 weeks in Sept/Oct 2016. Service superb - our fridge broke down, I told reception we needed to keep my wife's medication cool - it was replaced inside 15 minutes. 3 large pools, one heated slightly too much for swimming but fine for lazing about. If you need more water than the bottle per person provided at breakfast, simply ask for water in the bar at night.

We could not fault this hotel in any way. However, the resort of Costa Calma is somewhat quiet and spread into little centers. There is a wonderful walk along the beach, the beach is Public and therefor all chairs etc. have to be paid for.
