Hotel Sol Milanos Pinguinos

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks from 4th May 2019. It is clean, comfortable and has wonderful staff who go out of their way to provide an excellent service. My stay was at the start of the season and the full entertainment programme was not yet underway. Nevertheless there was a variety of entertainment available. I enjoyed the pool areas, the proximity to the beach and nature reserve and the availability of local shops and restaurants. Transport links were excellent as well. Overall this was a great choice and I was aware that the facilities for families were excellent with a playground area, crazy golf, club house with books, pushchairs, buckets and spades all available free to use as well as the children's entertainment programme. Well done to the staff and management.

The hotel was very good with extremely helpful staff and good food. It must be noted though that it is a family hotel with very many children, and thus would probably not suit those looking for a quiet break.

My heart sank when entering our rom on arrival. Very dated and dark. Poor quality furnishings and bed linen. Thin well worn towels. Thank goodness it was spotlessly clean and kept that way during our stay. Staff on reception very offhand on arrival. Food in restaurant of poor quality , especially evening meal and food hygiene standards shocking. No coffee available after dinner other than from the bar and at well over £2 for a small cup expensive, with tea priced the same. Half a glass of lemonade from the bar was extortionate at £2.50. Couldn’t work this out as a large gin and tonic was priced at £3.00?.. Generally poor value holiday especially as we ate out after day 2 to get a reasonable quality meal. Luckily only one of the sister hotels was open as the area around the pools was small and the quantity of sun beds I imagine would prove to be problematical in high season.Love Minorca but couldn’t recommend this particular hotel and wouldn’t return.

The hotel was clean but the food was poor and cold most of the time. Breakfast was ok but still cold. Better off eating out. The rooms were cleaned every day and the staff friendly and helpful. Worth paying extra for a sea view.

Recently had a weeks holiday here, great location, right onto the beach and a five minute walk to Son Bou centre which is relatively small with a few shops, bars and restaurants, if your looking for nightclubs and a thriving nightlife this is not the place for you, but if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing break this place is ideal.

The location is fabulous and that stretch of the mediterranean is amazing. Almost as lovely as the caribbean! The hotel rooms need updating and the beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. The locals speak very little English. Some great restaurants especially along the beach. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely return.

Been to this hotel 4 times and never been disappointed in any aspect of it . The staff are friendly and helpful, the quality and choice of food on offer was fabulous and all facilities and cleanliness excellent.

Wait until high season when presumably all amenities in both hotels will be open. Restaurant struggled to cope with numbers as one restaurant had to cater for both hotels leading to queues and empty food compartments which took a while to be replenished. Also only one bar open for both hotels leading to constant queues. Pool area good sunbed access good.

location was excellent, hotel very clean and well kept, couple areas could do with updating eg chairs in reception area bit shabby looking, mattress was quite hard , food was really good, plenty choice but I did think it could have been bit warmer( I used the microwave on a few occasions as I like food piping hot, we never tried the pizza and pasta counter as it was quite out the way from the main dining area and my husband has a mobility problem, however had a look and did look nice, entertainment was ok, we watched the magic show, gymnastics show and also the abba show, very good especially the abba show

This place was great for me as right On à lovely beach n thén mins walk from the wetlands.so Plenty Walking to be done.tho i wouldnt like to be here high season.way too Manu people when hôtel at capacity.

Very good hotel with excellent entertainment, not much to do outside of the hotel so all inclusive is the best board choice. The food was brilliant with excellent choice and fantastic quality. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

beds are firm. food is plentiful if a bit repetitive. brilliant for kids who love the pool. been with grandkids two years running. planning to go again next year. entertainment staff not as good this year ,focused more on 20+`s keep fit.no nightclubs which was excellent for a family holiday

i stayed here for 4 days while my daughter & her young family were there for 2 weeks,the hotel was first class , clean & modern,really great situation on the beach,all children facilities were first class as were the pools, all of staff were really pleasant & helpful

Had an amazing 11 days. Loads to do through the day for someone who likes exercise like me and all plenty for the kids with big players area. Only thing to mention it is very Italian based and feel the Italians got more attention and the kids more shows etc.

Nice clean hotel. Good size rooms with plenty of storage and comfortable beds. The staff and animation teams worked very hard and did their best to make our holiday enjoyable. A short walk through the hotel grounds takes you to a good clean sandy beach. The only down side was the restaurant, finding a table for 2 was hard enough but must have been a lot harder for families with small children. We went out of season so it must be a nightmare during the school holidays. Food was generally good although cold by the time we managed to sit down.

Lovely clean family friendly hotel, short walkway directly from hotel to clean beach. Sun loungers on beach were bit costly, so only visited couple of times. Stayed half board, breakfast was only decent meal, food never hot. Hotel info suggests kids club, but only seemed to be available to Italian holiday makers.
