Certified Sustainable Hotel
What do we mean by ‘sustainable’?
An independent organisation has officially certified this hotel as sustainable for meeting the criteria set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). Here are just a few example practices this hotel has to follow to be certified as sustainable:
Reduce energy, water and waste
Source products locally

We try to review our hotels every three months to make sure this information is up to date. If a hotel has the Certified Sustainable Hotel label, this means that at the time of booking, the hotel has met the GSTC recognised standard.

Santa Ponsa
Boasting a golden sandy beach, twinkling turquoise water and pretty tree-lined promenades, it’s no surprise that Santa Ponsa has been a popular spot since the 1950s. It’s a vibrant resort with plenty going on and there are heaps of activities, restaurants and seafront souvenir shops to get stuck into. The sunsets here are pretty impressive too!
Santa Ponsa’s main Blue Flag beach is a stunner. Its silky sands are separated from the nearby pine woods by a promenade, where you’ll find sun beds, parasols, jet skis and pedalos. The low-key Little Beach by the marina is popular with families and has a playground opposite for little ones.
Super-yacht spotting
Port Adriano, a newly-built deep-water harbour right next to Santa Ponsa, has really started to attract the gleaming, pearlescent white super-yachts of the rich and famous on their Majorca holiday. Now’s the time to pay this marina hangout a visit for a touch of glamour and a taste of the high life.
Perfect Palma
The island’s cosmopolitan capital’s well worth exploring. Check out La Seu, Palma’s imposing Gothic cathedral, wander narrow cobbled streets and visit the hilltop castle for stunning views of the harbour. If shopping is more your bag on your Balearic holiday, head to the famous tree-lined Passeig des Born and its surrounding streets for designer delights.

Would be a great hotel if there were less guests
15 Aug 2022
We were travelling with friends and had contacted the hotel in advance to make room requests these were sorted for us and the rooms along with the hotel were really clean, the housekeeping staff certainly did a great job!
unfortunatley you felt a little bit like playing sardines the pool and surrounding area was nowhere near big enough for the amount of guests nor were the bar / snack facilities, often having to stand in a very long queue to get served drinks. The all inclusive was far from that not only because there were only certain things included but also because the slush machine was not working properly and there were often none of the inclusive ice-creams available, only the ones you had to pay for. The all inclusive cocktails were awful as was the house Cava, and definitely Do not use the complimentary shower room which is much more like a steam room! unfortunately this has certainly tainted memory of the hotel I will doubt I will return. Options for vegetarians was limited however there was always veg, salad, pizza and a pasta sauce available but be careful the vegi dish of the day often had ham or prawns in it?! the food on the whole was nice especially as they were catering for such large numbers but you often had to sift through the crockery to get clean plates. the staff attitudes were mixed some were lovely others were rude!

Not worth the money!
08 Aug 2022
We chose this hotel based on previous reviews that we had read. We wanted to be close to a beach as we have small children. This hotel was supposed to be on a beach front. We were extremely disappointed to discover that the beach front was actually a small cove with no sand on it at all. The rocks were very slippy and many people fell trying to get into the water. The food was poor. You’ll always find something you can eat if you don’t mind eating pizza every night. The rooms were dated and in need of a refresh. The air conditioning needs urgent attention. At reception it was dripping. If you looked into any of the grates you could see masses of dirt and dust. Whilst there we were aware of a child openly walking around with full blown chicken pox. That should not have been allowed. All of my family became unwell however my youngest child ended up being hospitalised for 9 days with pneumonia and developed a further complication in his lung from bacteria.
On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we could see that they were working very hard however we believe this hotel is more a 2.5 - 3 star hotel and not 4 star as advertised.
You simply have to look around and you can see that there’s been no money spent maintaining the place.
The location was also poor. In the back end of nowhere. If you want to enjoy Santa Ponsa you really need to be on the other side, close to the actual proper beach. That’s where the holiday vibe is.
Certainly not worth the high price tag they are charging.

Nice Hotel
26 Jul 2022
We found the reception staff helpful and friendly at check in. Our room was as described, two rooms, comfortable beds, air conditioning. My husband had a few problems with the television which were rectified.
The hotel was very clean plenty of sun loungers. We were on b and b only and breakfast was OK we were disappointed initially but always found something good to eat. The coffee in coffee machine was really good.
We found it quiet at the hotel but we found some entertainment elsewhere.

Firstly the staff at the hotel and the food are very good. They were more than accomodating during our stay there. The main problem is the size of the pool for the number of guests is inadequate, they need to introduce a ticket system for sun loungers as there are far too many inconsiderate guests scrambling for beds in a morning. This is compounded by the fact that the hotel let's people access the loungers from the back of the hotel near the beach before the front which causes a scramble to commence. I felt sorry for families with young children trying to get sun loungers at 8.15am or later as there was no way they would get one even though there are signs all over the pool stipulating loungers cannot be reserved (the hotel actively encourages this from 8am). This then means that they have no choice but to leave the hotel in order to entertain their children during the day(kids room won't cut it) costing them more money on top of what they have paid jn very expensive hotel in an expensive location. For Jet 2 to suggest this is a 4 star hotel is wrong and they need to make customers aware of the pool situation and downgrade the rating. I went with family and the safety deposit box in my room didn't work so I shared one with family next door. The air conditioning into the main bedroom didn't work and the fridge didn't keep anything cold and the door was hanging off. My family had a fresh bottle of water provided to then everyday by cleaners whereas we didn't. These things may not seem a big deal but when you spend nearly 4k on a holiday they should do. I feel that the food and service from staff has masked the inadequacies of the hotel and they need rectifying in order to retain its 4star status. I am, like others, very sceptical of 'negative' reviews after holidays, however, if you are paying a lot of money with young children to go and sit by the pool for the majority of your holiday and soak up the sun then you will be disappointed.

A very good hotel! I would definitely come back again

Loads of families there, happy staff, good energy on the pools. I missed a few snacks in the pool bar to be honest and only in the last day that I realised that you could go in the main restaurant to find some snacks. Abut apart from that everything was good! The ocean nearby it's amazing too!
